Charles Haddon (C.H.) Spurgeon (June 19, 1834 January 31, 1892) was a British Reformed Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations, among whom he is still known as the "Prince of Preachers." In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10,000,000 people, often up to 10 times a week at different places. His sermons have been translated into many languages. Spurgeon was the pastor of the New Park Street Chapel in London for 38 years. In 1857, he started a charity organization called Spurgeon's which now works globally. He also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him after his death.
Spurgeon was a prolific author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, a commentary, books on prayer, a devotional, a magazine, and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Arguably, no other author, Christian or otherwise, has more material in print than C.H. Spurgeon.

@@josephkelley8641 Absolutely! A true man of God if ever there was one. Another great old English preacher is the evangelical Anglican Bishop JC Ryle. His sermon on holiness was terrifyingly true...Without holiness, no one will see the Lord. This is absolutely true. What hope is there for a believer? Jesus Christ is our only hope. Only He can make us holy, that we may stand before our Holy God. What an AWESOME moment that will be!

So beautifully articulated. I could listen to him all day. So many lost souls with no clue of what lies ahead and it's at the door. Jesus Christ is very much alive and only above the firmament! His spirit in the soul of every saved Christian. It's so amazing to me.

Unfortunately the listed number of Christians in the world is not an actual number of real Christians. Unless someone has a day to day walk with Christ, he is a Christian in name only. 😔

Only those, who try to do the will of God by practising righteousness/moral improvement, as Jesus taught us, will be guided, if they keep trying to do that!
The true purpose of life is to to improve morally by practising righteousness (strive for perfection to get close to perfection):
"You shall not do unto others, as you would not, that others should do unto you.
You shall do unto others, as you would, that others should do unto you." (Jesus)
- which is the same as: "Love thy neighbour as thyself." Live the truth to find the truth: Practise righteousness! And this can then potentially lead to the true meaning of life: An eternal spiritual Life in the kingdom of Heaven.

But would you intentionally go about sinning because there is grace? Are you not taking that grace for granted? Your obedience should rather be an appreciation of the grace of Christ. How do you feel when you know very well what you are about to do is a sin? Your knowledge of it alone is an opportunity for you to do it right. Nevertheless, anytime we sin unintentionally, we can go to God," humble ourselves, pray, and turn from our wicked ways then will He hear us from heaven and forgive our sin..." But don't forget this " FEAR GOD AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENT, FOR THIS IS THE WHOLE DUTY OF MAN". Will God ask us to do this when He knows we are incapable? One thing I request, would you start telling us which volume these sermons come from? I was gifted the entire set of Charles Spurgeon's sermons, starting in 1855 at the New Park Street Pulpit through 1917 at the Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit. There is 3,544 sermons and I cannot locate them by sermon title to look them up and sit down and read them and really digest them.
Or if anyone knows of a way that I can figure out which one of these volumes it is in, and there are 62 volumes.

Kenneth Copeland had some cassettes of his early sermon back in the 70's or 80s but apparently Gloria is too greedy to share them and I know she's holding on to them. I'm so ashamed of what they've become because the used to be so powerful. Spurgeon is the real deal. Watch hid documentary. All his writings are digitized and available online. A whole set of volumes.

Read Malachi. God, therefore Christ grace has been given to the Gentiles. Israel turned away from him as did Judah, because he is a Fod who keeps his word, he will save those as promised to Jacob (the new covenant prescribed to the His chosen). However, (thank the Lord) he has established another covenant with his creation (all human kind) to those who believe. We’ve been drafted into the promises and it is evident throughout the Old Testament. His grace is marked even before the grace through faith in Christ has come to be.
May the Lord guide you through his word, which is true and give light towards the direction in which your spirit is perplexed. Trust in him and read it for yourself.

Where is there any evidence of this ? None
There is so much evidence for God and therefore Christ death, deity, and resurrection. If only you seek. The world does not push the scholarship of biblical evidence but it’s here. I encourage you to seek before standing on an opinion. May the Lord guide you and those who seek with Him humbly.
The huge problem with Spurgeon is that he loves to hear his own voice. He loves to talk about scripture before reading the scripture. He’s a verbose example and preamble to our current Christian pastors so-called who ramble about things they like to talk about and only then and after then give scriptures. That men loved him so much is almost proof he spoke in part, poetically, and without the power of God.
Scott, the Word of Our God instructs His children in Ephesians 4:11 the following..." And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers". Mr. Spurgeon spoke the Godly wisdom put into his heart by the Holy Ghost . He was a true titan grounded in the Blood of Christ tending to the flock of Christ. The Holy Spirit helped him unpack the scripture of God and to water the hearts of the true believer in our Lord. God Bless you and remain steadfast in Christ. 🙏
I think maybe you need to listen to the message again, the scripture that he cited & forget about the messenger.
No one is a sinner. There will be no judgement. The greatest lie ever told? Was man, convincing man, Satan is real. The Divine, is the source of love, not judgement, sin... There is NOTHING to repent from. The ONLY one you can sin against? Is man only. You're only holding back your true potential. Just look at the churches past. You would think GREAT things would have been done by now. We are no more than what humanity was in the dark ages. Near death and past lives are real. Reincarnation is real and humanity is greater than anything from what the bible declares. You're either opened minded to your potential, or closed minded, stuck in the dark ages of your mentality. Time to wake up, grow and evolve to what the Divine created you for. Dark Ages or Evolve. You are free to choose.

Jesus is the Son of God. You're essentially saying that the Son of God is a liar & that's not true at all. "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I go with what God says, not what man says & God has revealed Himself through His Word & His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus says ...

So, when you call my Lord a Liar & say that his life, death & resurrection is for nothing then obviously I disagree. My hope rests upon Him & his work that you are denying.

No. It's B and B, according to the Bible.
"Belief" without works/obedience is dead/not the true belief that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. Jesus calls us all to repentance of our sins, and if we believe Him to be our Lord, we will obey Him like He is (though inevitablt imperfectly, as Jesus was and will always be the only man to perfectly fulfill the Law). Repentance is our first, most important work to be done.
It is also stated multiple times in the Bible that God's children can, in fact, backslide and put their salvation in danger. And there is an unforgivable sin: blaspheming against the Spirit.
Also, it's important to note that baptism in the Spirit (you were probably talking about water baptism, which I believe can be a route for the Spirit to enter into someone but isn't always, and is definitely not a requirement, as the thief on the cross proves) is absolutely necessary for salvation as well.
Please do not lead people-including yourself-to believe they are saved by being disobedient, and that once they are saved, there is nothing they can do to lose their spot in heaven. This message can and does put many people's salvation very much in danger.

@@danwilson5630 I do my best to lean not on my reckoning but God's, as He reveals to me primarily through my studies of the Bible (anything which does not come from the Bible, I check against it, as Paul has rightly advised).
God's law is encompassed by the ten commandments, but the commandments are more than what they might appear. Jesus emphasizes the importance of the state of our unseen selves in His Sermon on the Mount, with verses such as:
_". . . Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
"but I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire."
Matthew 5:21-22_
and
_"Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
"but I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart."
Matthew 5:27-28_
Also, God tells us in the first and second commandments that He does not want us to serve anything else ("gods" and "idols") before Him. He quite apparently wants to be of chief importance in our lives. Many have always valued wealth, sex, earthly wisdom, entertainment, and other people-their children included (precious few would pass Abraham's test of faith)-and so on more than the Lord. The kinds of things for which our ancestors once made idols to celebrate and worship. They are as good as idols if we would disobey God to serve them, I should think.
The Pharisees, for instance, _technically_ followed the law as it was written with their physical bodies, but they didn't really value God over themselves and their selfish and hateful desires, and Jesus rebuked them for it. Their hearts and souls and minds did not love God, and were therefore sinful. They could not recognize God when He appeared to them; they didn't truly know Him. This culminated in Jesus' crucifixion.
Which brings me to my next point!
The commandments are also simpler than they appear, as Jesus also tells us in response to a Pharisee (these verses are so succint and meaningful, they always blow me away!):
_"Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
"This is the first and great commandment.
"And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
"On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."
Matthew 22:37-40_
If we truly love Him with our everything, we will listen and obey Him as we should the Lord of our lives. Anything felt or thought or acted out which is not in accordance with love for the Lord is sin.
If I may make one more point, somewhat tangential, in this already-long response:
Repentance is important because, though we will never reach a state of perfection in this world, if we truly reject that which the Lord does and allow the Spirit to work in us to make us more like Him, and we seek to know Him better with sincerity, our love for God will only grow with time. We will sin less and glorify Him more, even here on this Earth.
Repentence demonstrates true love for God.

Where is the Lord when 6 year old is praying to him not to let her step father molest her true story!
The Lord is a God who sees. He is not ascribed to any human quality. Therefore, it would be error to assume that the 6 year old who met evil so young will not be avenged.
Be patient- he will punish those who have not come to repentance. It is a terrible thing to fall into the hand of the Almighty God.
May the 6 year old be comforted through God’s word which reveals much more than we can ever imagine about the evil of today and yesterday.

I only know what is revealed to me by the Holy Word of God. My opinions and carnal thinking do not come into the discussion. I know this from God's Word...1st James 4:2..." By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh, is from God" This confession is at the heart of all his teaching. On what basis was he a heretic? What was he saying that goes against God's Word?
