Charles Haddon (C.H.) Spurgeon (June 19, 1834 January 31, 1892) was a British Reformed Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations, among whom he is still known as the "Prince of Preachers." In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10,000,000 people, often up to 10 times a week at different places. His sermons have been translated into many languages. Spurgeon was the pastor of the New Park Street Chapel in London for 38 years. In 1857, he started a charity organization called Spurgeon's which now works globally. He also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him after his death.
Spurgeon was a prolific author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, a commentary, books on prayer, a devotional, a magazine, and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Arguably, no other author, Christian or otherwise, has more material in print than C.H. Spurgeon.

The power of prayer.
I was in the Royal Air Force, as a Christian I attended a prayer meeting where there was just 2 or 3 of us. In the end each week there was just 2 of us.
The base Commander's 10 year old daughter died & suddenly the weekly prayer meeting was full of Christians praying.
This Commander gave his life to Jesus, praise our God.
Don't be eloquent about the world but silent towards Jesus. AMEN

I really needed to hear this. I know God led me here! I know my gift, but I allowed my wet blanket to cool my fire. My wet blanket was a need for appreciation from my own church family. Christ did not die to satisfy my fleshly needs! All glory to God, and God alone. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

This commentary is for all who believes, has repent of his or her sins and has accepted the gift of God to humanity the sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ and believes also in the Holy Spirit. When I started to listen the Audios of Charles Spurgeon, John Wesley, Johonatan Edwards, Mr Whitefield and all those preachers from the 16th, 17th and 18th century I believe that was their teaching that was exported to the young USA and because of that this Nation was blessed by God in became was it is until now, sadly I understand that England and some of other countries in Europe are not Christians anymore, so my petition to all of you who reads this lines is to include all this nations in our daily prayers, I believe is only fare to ask God for mercy to all this people who’s ansestors once were believers, thanks, Victor Vargas
