James 4:13 Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” 16 As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil. 17 If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.

Charles Haddon (C.H.) Spurgeon (June 19, 1834 January 31, 1892) was a British Reformed Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations, among whom he is still known as the "Prince of Preachers." In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10,000,000 people, often up to 10 times a week at different places. His sermons have been translated into many languages. Spurgeon was the pastor of the New Park Street Chapel in London for 38 years. In 1857, he started a charity organization called Spurgeon's which now works globally. He also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him after his death.
Spurgeon was a prolific author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, a commentary, books on prayer, a devotional, a magazine, and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Arguably, no other author, Christian or otherwise, has more material in print than C.H. Spurgeon.

I have always been amazed by how these sermons could apply to life 150 years in the future. It’s September 2022 and I am hearing this sermon and thanking God that I found this site on Facebook 2 months ago. Since then I listen to these messages every day. I have told many people about C. H. Spurgeon. Wonderful words of life.

Thank you for your kindness in this crooked world! Is kindness so hard? 2 years now in my walk with the lord I'm still in the furnace bei g refined by our lord. The more he opensy spiritual eyes the more wickedness I see in myself and the world..I pray for strength in the church the body of Christ and for his light to shine bright. We are to love one another as CHRIST Loved us. Thank you for solid messages. Our lord has been water downed. I love you brothers and sisters.

Deliverance! So much prosperity preaching, these days so-called pastors prophesying better days for good Christians! Better jobs, biggrer incomes, etc. May they be accursed--preachers of another gospel. We thank Charles Spurgeon for the grace he extends to believers. Hallelujah, that our Lord and Master use him to bring plain understanding so we may lead a successful Christian life in peace and with assurance in the face of tribulation. The Lord reigns.
Amen. Wise words for me, us Christians. Help us Holy Spirit.

I've been listening to a lot of Charles Spurgeon sermons and this one is so convicting. Please forgive me Lord for all my boasting and planning. I surrender all!

Terrific points to remember:
Do not boast, all boasting is evil, and do not trust your judgment in decision making, say if GOD permits, James 4:13-16.
Do things in due season, do not procrastinate, for there is time for everything, Ecclesiastes 3:3.
Obey and honor GOD Now!
Do you need baptism? Baptiize Now!
Do you need repentance? Now is the time of salvation, 2 Corinthians 6:2, repent Now!
James 4:17, "therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin."
Always wait on the LORD!!! Do not engage in anything, without HIS directions.
I will add this, Romans 10:9," that if you confess with your mouth the LORD JESUS and believe in your Heart that GOD has raised HIM from the dead, you will be saved. "
Wait and submit to HOLY SPIRIT to control your heart. Proverbs 4:23,"keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it springs the issues of life."

As we should get better acquainted with our Lord Jesus Christ. Because we are not guaranteed another day on this Earth. The relevance of this message is so on point for today. There's so much sin and anger and loss of values morals and family values. Amen

I love his voice as well, it's almost like he's the real thing, so much does his voice match my imagination. I am blessed and rich, because this and all Spurgeon's sermons are pure gold. Serious statement!

We are so blessed in America we can still go to banks grocery stores and get gas with no armed guards at doors , and go home a place to cook our food, and a place to sleep.
So if God knows the future, we have no free will, we are just like puppets playing our part in the script of the movie of life.
