These people need to learn the hard way
You got a screen shot of a lady
Making it look like she is the owner of one of those cars
Looks like she walks past those cars with the family and groceries in tow...
The point is that rich people feel entitled dummy

Not the person who made the video
And not any of the drivers of those vehicles parked in the handicapped stalls
@@DW-op7ly do you even know what your saying lmao. Again in English. You don’t even have a clue what you’re trying to say
They should be impounded. $500 fine plus tow charges to get the car back.
The ticket is good, but they don't get towed.
I think it should come with 30 days in jail.
Change fine to $2500, third ticket car is confiscated and crushed.
They're not going to bother having them towed, they'll pay the fine that's it, from what I understand whole foods isn't a cheap store to shop at so they can afford the fine.
@@watchcity2068Don't be ridiculous, it's not a criminal offense it's a parking violation like any other.
Should be an automatic towing, not just a ticket.
Agreed 💯
But treated as a pinata until the tow truck gets there.
Hefty fine plus the tow. This is way too prevalent.
They DO tow from some areas.
😢 sad that ppl still do this
False entitlement, it's like a sickness. The only cure is multiple expensive tickets reapply as needed 😂
Trouble is that the owners of these big expensive cars don't normally care about a small fine. Getting towed is different, plus points on their license is better.
In California the minimum fine is $250 with 2 points on your license. Next offense is $500 with another 2 points. I’d hope this would be enough deterrent, but probably not.
Name and Shame them.... 🎉🎉🎉
@@karennoble3795 It's just a small aggravation if you're modestly wealthy in CA.
@karennoble3795 And there are also court costs which can bring a first offense close to $1k.
@Wheeler63😂😂😂👹👹👹yes!
the type of car parked illegally in a handicap parking space doesnt matter. its the fact that they are parked there, period.
Only matters in that some people feel spending that much more on a high status car entitles them to the road and parking.
Shame on all those people!! Specially the Tesla Owner!! Boo! Don't be Lazy!! Don't Park in a Handicapped Parking Space!! 😠😠😠
Doesn’t matter what kind of car, you’re correct….but you should get extra points, fines, humiliation if you drive one of those vehicles.
Yeah, really! It wouldn't matter if it was a 1980 pacer or a 1974 chevy Vega. The parking space wouldn't have been any more, or less blocked.... makes It sound like a bit of jealousy drama there!?[
Exactly…. Who cares anyway.. There are parking spots 12 feet away.. What’s another 12 feet…
I liked that the employees immediately took it seriously
Probably because it was a handicapped person reporting it.
The arrogance it takes to be a healthy person and take up a disabled spot is HUGE.
Laws are for other people
"I'm only going to be a minute". Lamest excuse ever.
I love this video, I am in a wheelchair myself and I am from Canada. I try to do what she does because the fines here for blocking the parking spots are between $3000 and $5000 Canadian. Keep up the great work!!!!
We need fines like that here.

I saw my brother-in-law park his car in a handicapped space while using my sister's placard (muscular dystrophy). I dropped a dime on him after ensuring my sister would not lose her parking privileges as a result. Cops arrived and gave him a ticket. He whined about the ticket and that's when my sister learned that he had taken her placard without her permission. He was in the doghouse with a hefty fine. Made my day.
Good job.
My sister in law used her mom's placard for years after her mom died. She knew someone at the courthouse that renewed the placard. Nothing was ever done to her.
Your a rat 🐀 that was too much Jesus live your life you police everybody like that!?😅
🐀
Ur a real piece of crap. Did u even mention it to ur brother first? Naa, ill just call the cops. Ur lucky they didn't kill him.
Honestly people! The very least we can do to help disabled people is to make sure they have access to disabled spaces. It's so incredibly selfish they should get towed.
I wish they would have stayed around to see if the police actually DO come to give those handicap blockers a ticket.
Cops too much paperwork 😞
would have been nice to see the drivers
@Wheeler63 Whate state is that?
@@jeffro221According to the narrator it’s California
@Wheeler63 Yeah I see your point. If somebody knows what state you live in, they could start going door-to-door and asking them if they are Wheeler63 on CZcams, and after millions of door knocks they would have you. Whew. Good job, man. Doesn't pay to take chances these days. Sorry, I didn't realize how reckless it was to ask you what state.
my husband volunteers one day a week with our local police. this is a small town and he writes a LOT of tickets for this infraction. we are both seniors and I am handicapped myself and when I can't find an open handicap spot I just go home. I can'e walk that far and have to use the scooter inside the store.
I can relate. I started bringing an extra driver with me shopping, whenever possible, in case there aren't any available spots. That way I can be dropped off at the front of the store. When I can't bring someone with me then if there are no spots available, like you, I go home. People don't seem to realize, or care, how difficult it can be to try & remain independent when you're disabled. Nobody wants to be dependent on others just to be able to get food or medication. Everything needs to be preplanned, God forbid I don't realize I'm running low on a necessity like toilet paper or medication, because if I'm alone & there are no spots then I'm out of luck. For the illegally parked driver it may be just one trip to the store, but for the disabled it is something we have to deal with constantly & makes a life already filled with challenges even harder. Still, countless times I see cars illegally parked in reserved spots. If you aren't disabled, please don't take the few spots available to us.
@@user-hv4fc5rx7x I really hate being driven around like a child.
Back in the day, tagging those vehicles was the highlight of my shift. :)
Seen this happening in Pasadena pet store parking lot ,,
I informed the illegal parker that he could get a ticket and he just shrugged his shoulders and laughed as he walked away…
That turned my stomach
Call a tow truck, not police
It is a weird feeling when someone does that. Hopefully, he thought over his actions later but 🤷♀️
@@arribaficationwineho32 A tow truck is not going to tow them unless an officer directs it.
I would have turned to my phone to report them.
I would never park in a handicapped designated spot. I'm glad I have the ability to walk, and wouldn't want to inconvenience someone who truly needed the parking spot. Only a horrible person would inconvenience someone else like this.
Vehicle should be towed, when it becomes very inconvenient to be caught in a handicap parking and not just a fine they will think long and hard before doing it.
Call this out every single time, until the police crack down and hand out on the spot fines, big heavy fines. Money talks, sadly.
I HATE people who use handicapped parking spaces without actually being handicapped. Thank you for reporting on this. These idiots need to be publicly shamed!
i did the same thing in Berkeley CA but the cops pissed me off also instead of writing a ticket and asking the person to move it , the cop just had him move it. its a wonder so many people ignore these signs
When I was in Texas a Hummer parked diagonally across the handicapped spot left his engine running with his AC on and went in to the mall shopping. I still can’t shake that image.
Totally unacceptable parking illegally in handicapped parking
Unfortunately some cops don't care. I have a handicapped placard and saw a man whip into a handicapped spot, jump put and run onto Walmart. I called coos and the guy said, well what do you want me to do it about it. Find another spot. They would not come out.
Good for her! I had a HC sticker after my surgery late last year. I had other issues as well. When I started getting better, I put it away and haven't used it since, even though I now need a cane to walk and could probably qualify for a permanent one. I just don't feel right, taking up a space when there are others who have a far more difficult time getting around than I.
But if you still need a cane, technically you are still legally considered handicapped. I’m recovering from a stroke and need a cane/walker to get around. I have a placard and will keep using it until it expires in 2028 as long as I’m still using my cane/walker.
@@robo08ify As you should. Each case is different. For me, I get around just fine, the cane is just insurance because my balance isn't so good. Besides, I need the exercise. I'd rather someone like yourself who needs the HC spot more, can avail themselves of it.
I have asked many people if they like handicapped parking so much, would they also like the handicap that goes with it? No one has ever moved their car, so damn rude.
My question is why doesn't the young lady call the police herself? That's what I do when I find that situation.
Honestly, maybe the lady is trying to educate business owners to actually pay attention to who parks in handicap parking spots.
@@Randysgirl if it is a mall parking lot with multiple businesses, which I believe is the case here, then it wouldn't be the responsibility of any one business to police the parking lot. That is the mall owners responsibility.
The complaint has to come from the store, or at least it does where I’m at. I’ve already been told by my local police they will not enforce as it is not on their city code so state has to handle it.
@@2olvets443 there's no such requirement where I'm at. And I got to imagine that the only reason the police are telling you that is because they don't want to deal with it. I have reported a couple of them and seen the tickets on the cars when the police officers left.
Walmart refuses to call. I have asked. They label me has the hostile one. I’m in a power chair due to disabilities.
In California, in 2023 all permanent handicap placards had to be renewed, and must be renewed every 6 years.
Your wrong its every 2 years
@@stacyludden3085 , check again, every 6 years for permanent placards
It’s every 6 years in Washington, too. Mine expires in two.
You know the one expired in 2015 was someone’s dead relative
Either a dead relative or issued for a temporary condition.
People in California do this constantly. Almost every time I'm in a parking lot, there is someone illegally parked in a disabled space. The entitlement is real. When you confront them, they either play the victim, or get angry you called them out.
I've had a bad back most of my life due to an injury. I'm not on disability, nor have I ever tried to get a placard and I work full time. I NEVER park in handicap spaces, though I experience some pain whenever I walk. I figure it like this, I'd rather be ABLE to walk a little farther than to REALLY NEED a closer spot because of the difficulty of a REAL disability. If only karma was mandatory.
I can’t count how often I go home without getting groceries because there’s no parking at walking distance due to unlawful parking. Often I drive around 20-30 mn & have witnessed people running to their car = not disabled although parked with a placard. It infuriates me.
I'm a U.K. citizen, aged 76 and with MS. Here the police won't get involved with the issue, at shopping malls the stores will do nothing either, yet I get parking fines for leaving my car for one minute over the 3 hour time limit on public roads and the local councils employ bullies who love shouting at disabled people and issuing them fines. Unfortunately most of the population don't seem to care either. Mind you, a lot of people with Blue Badges for disability are known to obtain them dubiously, so they ruin everything for those of us who really need them.
Our county had a handicap judge. He'd park behind them, call the cops, and wouldn't let them leave until they arrived. Oh he wouldn't hear the case,,,,, he'd just be a witness. I usually park far away (unless it's really cold) so I force myself to walk. Others should try that out. I've lost 10 pounds doing that!
The guy with the expired tag could also be charged for false ID.
I was at a local store this past week. 5 cars parked in Handicapped spaces with no hang tags, no license plate. And an elderly woman in a wheelchair driving up the parking lot! Absolutely ridiculous!
No matter who you are or what you drive, you can't park illegally in a handicapped spot.Lol!!!!!😢😅😂
Bring that energy outside your computer screen. Pathetic weasel.
Never thought I would say...
Good for Whole Foods!!
But there it is......
LOL
My daughter has a handicap placard. If she’s with me, I’ll use it. If she’s not with me, I don’t.
Yay! As a wheelchair bound person, I applaud this woman’s approach!!
I lived in Phoenix AZ for years and was told that police would not look for or ticket errant parkers at shopping centers because those parking lots are considered private property. If so, then why do citizens have to pay for the placards?
This happens to me all the time. It is a constant on going issue. I use a ramp van that the ramp opens out to the side. I've been blocked so many times. Then been threatened by these idiots at diff times. It's frustrating.
Love it!!!!!! I see so many able people who can run and jump, and parked at handicap spots!!!! So many times I want to say something, but know it will turn out to be just arguing fighting fest!
Glad this truly needed person report them to call the police!!!!
I had to fight with my daughter’s elementary school and multiple parents over this issue. The principal was giving the parents of children with learning disabilities permission to park in the disabled parking with no placards or anything. That then caused other parents to think it was ok for them to park there. The principal had the nerve to tell me to just park in the fire lane if all the spots were full, mind you I have a placard!! It was a ridiculous situation!😤😡🤦🏻♀️
Decades ago when I was young and stupid and had not been driving for long, I parked in a handicap space. I had just shut off my car and a disabled man walked out of the store who was an amputee and older and got into the adjoining handicap space. He gave me the saddest look. I felt absolutely horrible and vowed right then and there to never park in a handicap space again. I never did. It was an excellent life lesson.
Great to see this ! How many times sitting in my car do I see people , fully able just park in handicapped parking. Good work !
The entitlement and lack of respect people show for others is disturbing.
I'm so glad to see info like this. TY for giving credit to the videographer, some don't. ALSO: some disabilities ARE invisible, so IF they can show entitlement, just remind to put proof out there. I used to judge ANYONE parking in a spot IF I didn't see a placard, license badge, etc. But some have hidden disabilities, just didn't display their proof. I amended my behavior, but still check to see if someone is being a shallow jerk and tell them. LOL. I'm Not disabled, but I'm mindful of others, as most people are.
My wife had a knee replacement and had months of therapy so she got a temp placard. Every time we went to Kaiser hospital every handicapped space was filled. So out of curiosity I went back outside while they had my wife and I checked for placards or plates. I found more than 50% had neither. Private lot, so no cops but rude people are everywhere these days
Last year I had TWO knee replacements and the doctor wouldn't let me get temp placards as he discouraged me from parking close to the store and wanted me to walk as much as I can. Sounds like your wife's doctor is very old-school.
@@Patrick-kt5mc since she was almost seventy may have had some bearing on the decision

A few years ago, I saw a young guy park in a handicapped spot and then take his clothes into the nearby laundromat. After a few minutes, he came out and strolled the length of the strip mall to the dollar store, all the while leaving the car in the handicapped spot. So I called the police and shortly thereafter, watched them give him a ticket. I then went into the laundromat and overheard him telling the attendant that he got a $250 ticket for parking in the handicapped spot "for a couple of minutes", conveniently forgetting about the additional 20+ minutes his car was parked there while he went shopping at the dollar store. People like that really piss me off!
Parking in a handicap spot, when you not handicaped, is about the worst karma thing you can do. You'll wind up actually being alowed to do that, and then you'll think back....
Compulsory jail time should be mandatory.
Oh stop.
Being stupid shouldn’t qualify as a disability.
Great going! Nice work seeing this through and actually doing something about it. I'm shocked the customer service did something to help and didn't just let it go. It happens all day long in florida as well, where police do nothing at all because they say they have no one that wants to be officers anymore so they're greatly understaffed. I believe them and wish our corrupt government would stop making police the enemy when the truth is they're heros in a society that spirals downward everyday..
Wife’s a cop and these are her absolute favorite tickets to write!
So glad to read your comment. Female officers are worth their weight in gold.
Being handicapped myself, I occasionally see youth park in the handicap spaces. No card, no plate. So when I saw our local police checking the spaces at out local gas station, I made a point of it to thank them. I explained that between my busted knees and neuropathy, I have a hard time walking long distances. A few 100 feet may not seem like much, but it really adds up . Thank you to law enforcement everywhere- keep checking the cars in handicap spaces.
I'm handicapped and have handicapped parking and I deal with that kind of selfishness all the time too. Good for her to address it!
I'm disabled too. I don't know how many times I have seen someone parked illegal
Everyday sadly
I applaud your efforts. I have multiple mobility disabilities and often have to either wait for a spot to open or just leave altogether. I believe the largest population of handicap offenses come from people without mobility disabilities who use placards that are not theirs. Also, check that handicap tags display the actual symbol.
Thank You For Sharing ❤
Sadly I live in a City that does not enforce Handicap Parking Rules or Fire Lane Parking. We have a Pizza Hut that has their delivery drivers park in the Fire Lane all the time. It does not even pay to call the Police because the Operator will tell people it is OK.
Great job!!! 🎉
i was given a temporary 3-month placard for my post surgery recovery..seldomly used it because i had difficulty walking. you’d be surprised how many ppl jump out of the car lookin very healthy, also i began to pay attention at how many ppl display expired placards
Well, that certainly made me feel all warm and fuzzy
It’s about time somebody gets after these illegal parks I know every time I go to the store pick and save there’s always somebody parked in the handicap that has no handicap sticker and the stores never do anything about it
About ten years ago, I was at a local Giant store where all spaces were occupied, and only a few had proper tags. When a lady drove up in her special van, she decided to simply pull up perpendicular to one of the illegally parked cars. She rolled out on her scooter, closed up the van, and went inside to shop.. I did not stick around to see the outcome. This was long before so many people became violent when confronted.
Good work , so common abuse of the handicapped parking .
Hi drew! I went to school with you! Glad to see you!❤
They should go to jail.
I had knee surgery and had a disabled permit for a while. Before that I always saw all of the empty handicapped parking places but when I had the permit they were all full. After my knee was back to normal, the handicapped spaces were empty again.
In Colorado, if you can’t hang the placard from the rear view mirror, you can leave it visible on the dashboard.
Myself I live in Jacksonville, FL. I found out that since I'm in a wheelchair that the city can train me to write tickets for violators. So when I park at stores I check every vehicle that's parked in the handicapped spots. And when I do, I write them a ticket right there and then. Boom, they got served. Teach these drivers a lesson
Back in 1995 , I was going to park in a handicapped parking spot , my stepsister chewed me out THOROUGHLY ! I haven't done it since .
I would love to see more of this Activism Is the key
I’ve often believe some people think being illiterate or socially inconsiderate is their disability, but it does give them the right to be horrible.
Kudos to the empathetic and responsive Whole Foods employees.
The one time in a million per year someone actually acts. 99.999% of the time, business owners, cops, and security just shrug.
Great job...I love it.
the worst that anyone is going to get is a $250 ticket
Good on her for calling the police. I finally called on a truck parked 2 weeks in a row at the YMCA in the disabled parking without any credentials. Haven’t seen it again since I hope they caught the driver and ticketed. I talked to the Y and they weren’t willing to call the police or do anything but leave a note. I have a tag and have never used it at the gym because I’m AT THE GYM 😂
In the two cities where I lived and worked, patrol cops wrote Disabled Parking Violations daily at the Bank ATM’s, Markets and Coffee shops on a regular basis.
In the small city where I lived one officer averaged 6 Blue Zone Tickets a day at $325 each, in between calls for service. One car was a burglary getaway car and no one got away.
On the AMG, yes, they should have had an up to date placard. However, the way the AMG rear view mirrors are, they do not allow for the placards to be hung from that mirror.
It's California. The police will have to determine the illegal parkers' "demographic" and/or "immigration status" before deciding whether to ticket or tow them.
In Australia we can display the "Disabled Parking Permit" either by hanging it from the mirror or if it won't fit by placing it on the dashboard on the Passenger side of the vehicle.
Why aren't cops writing more illegal parking in handicap parking?
Awesome I’m Handicapped myself I live in Illinois and this happens a lot here too
It def happens there
8 years ago I had a GF that was in a wreck. She was disable after that.
We were at Castle dental in Sugarland TX for her to have some work done. 2 HC places both filled. On car had a place card and the other did not. Being we had to walk near 50 yards because of that, while my GF was being treated (over 45 min had passed and the non place card car had not moved) I call the city police.
When he came out He started to ticket the car. Come to fine out it was one of the employees and they told him they been doing it for months with no problem. He told her that he will be coming by every so often to check the area, and after a 3rd ticket of the same car anywhere in the city (he did ticket her) the car can be towed
She did a lot of bitching about it after he left. The entitle race.
You go girl!!! This drives me crazy and is so wrong❤❤❤
Not my video, its a reaction, sorry she isnt reading this
I used to work at a cable company and if a customer came in and illegally parked in the handicapped spot, we wouldn’t help them until they moved.
I had ankle surgery after i fell and fractured my ankle in 3 places. I had a temporary handicap placard that i couldn't use most of the time as most of the time the parking spots were filled. It was really hard to walk far on crutches and a cast on one leg. At least my injury was temporary.
I will admit to parking in a handicap spot once over 30 years ago. It was the end of an excruciatingly long day on my feet, and I was 25 weeks pregnant, carrying him on my sciatic nerves. I walked with a more than obvious waddle and was in and out in about 15 minutes.
That pregnancy gave me more problems as I ended up in preterm labor and spent the next 3 months on strict bed rest🤪
Side note, I drove a Ford Festiva. Nothing fancy, just serviceable.
Not gonna lie, I slap my face every time my girl does this 😂😂😂
In Oregon, a regular citizen can issue tickets for this sort of thing, including against entitled law enforcement. It's a bit of a hassle, but it can be done according to the following Oregon law. ORS 153.058 Initiation of violation proceeding by private party
I live in Florida and its the same I have said something to people about parking in those spots and have been caused out. Called names from people who don't belong in those spots. Cops never show up when you need them to
A non-handicapped person who parks an electric car illegally in front of whole foods should have their car immediately towed.
Nauseating arrogance
I admire her courage in the face of adversity! Most people will look the other way.
