- Before Pokémon took over the world, it was a rejected concept that almost never saw the light of day. Its creator tread the line between genius and madness for years, while his company Game Freak, faced financial ruin. Satoshi Tajiri was obsessed with the idea for Pokémon since childhood. His bug collecting inspired the concept of players searching through differing terrains collecting mysterious creatures. However, when he pitched this wildly ambitious idea to Nintendo, they rejected it. Stating: they didn't get it. Despite this, Satoshi persevered and worked tirelessly for years to bring Pokémon to life.

chapter intros are amazing
Crazy how the "this game is too huge and needs 2 cartridges" has mutated into "sell the same game with minor differences on 2 cartridges".
Yes it’s quite sad. I really appreciate you watching that far in. Thank you.
Hello Everyone. The story of Pokémon is honestly insane. Let me know what you think :)
I never knew how hard it was for the creator to get pokemon out there in the first place, weird to imagine a world without the pokemon franchise
I also wonder now how much the creator likes the bug type in his games considering that was the main inspiration, and if it is why there isn't a bigger push to make more bug types or better balancing for their relevance
his favorite Pokémon is supposedly Poliwag.
I wonder what would have happened if he had pitched Pokemon to SEGA?
That would be insane. Also, thanks for watching
Nice, keep going!
Thank you.
May I ask how the number of 29 Million sales of 'Yoshi' came up in your research?
I mistook the total sales for the original game for the total sales of yoshi as a franchise. I apologize.
I didn't think you would be posting again so soon after only a little under 2 weeks
Was this in your backlog, and what makes you decide your next topic?
There are a few thing. 1. my personal interest 2. actual data and what's trending rn 3. The background info ie the history of the company/person
What program/s did you use for the slightly animated scenes in the forest? Nice use of ai!
Thank you. I forgot the name of it but I will let you know soon.
