    The disclaimers mid-instruction were very helpful. Great video once again.

    how can I not watch these skating drills....(a) they save me from the embarrassment of trying them in a rink and (b) my confidence becomes so great until the outing with other skaters is super enjoyable...thanks you so much

    You are such a gifted teacher. I really appreciate the clarity and thoroughness of your tutorials. Please keep them coming ❤️
    Special request: one foot turns on the outside edge (is that a 3-turn) and pendulum swings

      Thank you Christie! I was planning on an upcoming tutorial on classic 3Turns with edge. I’ll have to look up what you mean by pendulum swing- so you mean by adding the swing of the free leg during the edge in traditional Freedance (like ice or roller) ?

    Thank you! Never heard your tips with moving the hips forward. Been doing hip opener stretches a lot to try and open my tight manhips, hopefully this helps even more so I can transition smoother

    Im struggling finding a good Outside surface to train... can you tell me what kind of surfaces are good? Today I went skating and my skates were hardly rolling on the ground...

    • @appelusa
      @appelusa  Před 3 lety

      Hey! What type of skates / wheels/ bearings do you have? I suggest a super soft wheel like sure grip aerobics. I have a link in my video descriptions. Also bearing type will have an impact on how well the wheel rolls. Super soft wheel with a well rolling bearing good for outdoors most any surface. If it’s really gravely obviously that makes it difficult. If you can find a nice paves street, basketball court, plaza, try that 😊

  • @paulgait4107
    @paulgait4107 Před 2 lety

    With trucks how much movement do you have ? 🤔 I do out door skating and have the backs hard and the front slight movement.

    • @appelusa
      @appelusa  Před 2 lety

      I like quite a bit of give since I have a figure skating background and need edges for footwork and spins. It’s such a personal preference. Try loosening and see how you do. I usually have the front slightly looser than back but the back still have give

      @@appelusa thank you for your reply. One thing I am now finding hard to grasp going from in lines to quads is front to backwards transition. I seem to transition but it goes more in to a power stop 🙄🤔 currently watching your tutorial 😉

    So is this essentially a toe wheel transition? This actually makes me feel kinda good that you consider this an intermediate still because I can do this! Yay me!

      @appelusa  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes the first turn (forward to back) is a toe wheel transition. Stoked for you 👏🏻🌟
