    I don’t know how to explain it but every time I go to cross over it feels like the foot I’m putting my weight on is trying to slide from up under me😩but thank you so much for this video. I’ve been skating for 5 months now and crossovers are still the hardest part for me💜

    • @appelusa
      @appelusa  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Saniya, If your foot is sliding out it would seem the weight is towards the heel. Your weight has to be over the inside big toe wheel. Try tucking the foot under you before it touches the floor. And bend your knees!

    You should totally do park skating tutorials; if you can give us tips on that :)

      Hi ! Park skating like ramps? I will be adding outdoor tutorials for outdoor skating tips and tricks but ramps or skate park tricks are not my forte. I come from artistic roller figure skating background and roller dance 🤙🏻❤️🙏🏻 def more to come!! Thank you for your feedback. If there’s anything specific you would like to see please meet me know!

    Thank you for this video. Your instructions were really clear. I find I have trouble keeping my knees close enough, I think it’s because my knee pad are in the away. Or would it be that I’m not bending my knees enough?

    • @appelusa
      @appelusa  Před 2 lety +1

      It could be knee pads. Could be not bending knees enough. Make sure to tuck in free foot before it hits ground. Hard to know without seeing your body lines!

    Thanks, Appleusa- this crossover video was really great! I'm super beginner and found it really helpful. I tried to do the cris-crosses, but for the life of me, I can't get any momentum- I just slow down and stop! Do you have any tips? I'm trying to do the baby-toe push but it doesn't seem to work for me- I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Is there another video of yours that would help?

    • @appelusa
      @appelusa  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Tattoos!! Maybe your bearings? So they roll fast? Otherwise where is your weight? Front? Back of skate? Should be center back with knees bent slightly.

      @@appelusa hi - thanks for answering! I've been watching as many of your vids as possible. I think I may need to practice my "edges" more. I've watched your slalom video at least 15 times over and over, I think that might help. I do have "beginner level" skates, and hope to upgrade soon, but I've adjusted the tension on my trucks for now, and that seems to be helping me. Your vids are great, and I'm so grateful for them ☺❤ (Alie)

    Hello. Which Riedell roller skate boot if comparable your your Harlick and Edea boots?
    Thank you🌻

    • @appelusa
      @appelusa  Před rokem

      Hi! I grew up on reidell 297. I don’t have Harlick but have Edea Classica. I think Reidell 297 would be similar. The 220 would be too firm as a comparison.

    What drills can be done to practice balancing on front wheels? Can you do a tutorial?

    • @appelusa

      Yes, I actually do have a crazy legs tutorial to upload and I have drills for that on there. Stay tuned!!!

    i feel like my boots is too big, couldn't lift it up across my foot :(

    • @appelusa
      @appelusa  Před 3 lety

      My suggestion without seeing you and your alignment is that it's all weight distribution and balance. Make sure knees are super bent and you can balance on one foot so the other foot can lift off ground. Hope you keep trying!!
