The poster child of muscle cars: a red 1970 Chevelle SS with black stripes. This one really has what you want: bucket seats, cowl induction, gauges, a 4-speed and air conditioning! #s matching motor.
EXTERIOR: It's a sharp looker, all red with black stripes, no vinyl roof, and a cowl induction hood. The body shows very well and is overall very solid. There are some bubbles on the lower driver 1/4 panel. The paint is very glossy. It presents itself very nicely but there are minor imperfections and some touch ups. The stripes are painted on correctly. Overall, the chrome and trim is very good. The windshield was replaced. It has tough stance with some fat tires in back. 15 inch rally wheels, wider in back and they are wearing BFGs.
INTERIOR: The black interior overall is good It does have some nice features like a 4-speed on the floor and factory gauges in the dash. The seats and headrests have been reupholstered. The door panels are in great shape. The headliner and visors have been redone; dome light works. It is updated with a vintage Air heater control panel and a stereo. It also has a deluxe steering wheel. Down on the floor It has nice carpet, Lloyd embroidered mats and a center console between the buckets.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has the VIN # matching 396-350 hp motor. The casting codes on the back are correct. The stamp on the front looks correct, it still has broach marks meaning it hasn't been ground down. Stock intake with Holley dual feed carb, electronic ignition and a new set of coated headers. New Vintage Air heat and a/c system. An aluminum radiator keeps the engine cool. Wiper motor looks new, squirters are hooked up.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb have decent red paint. Inside the trunk is very solid with a gray and white spatter finish. It has a reproduction mat and also a custom red carpeted and bound mat. It has an SS wheel for a spare with a BFG tire and a reproduction jack assembly.
UNDERSIDE: The front end steering and suspension was completely rebuilt. In back the upper and lower control arms, bushings, springs, shocks, and sway bar were replaced. Custom Pypes stainless dual exhaust with X-pipe and correct cowbell tips. The brakes were redone, it has disc in front. Hoses were replaced, e-brake assembly is hooked up. Looking up at the motor it's clean Chevy Orange, the fuel pump and starter were replaced. It has a correct 1970 Muncie M-22 Rock Crusher 4-speed trans, it looks fresh. 12 bolt rear with 3.36 posi gears. The floors look like they are as dry as a chalkboard, there's no rust under this car.
SERVICE: We inspected the car and repaired the reverse lights, horns, and cowl induction. We charged the a/c and replaced a high beam bulb.
This is a very desirable Chevelle SS with very desirable features. Overall, very good; if it were pristine, it would be 20 grand more!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.

My all time fav Chevelle year, ultimately with the LS-6, this red on red is sweet jay, & rare! Another right & tight car by you guys. You said 350HP, but if the air cleaner label was right it's the 375HP L-78. I noticed the redline @6500 so that bad boy with that rock crusher is gettin after it!...PS just saw the price..Nice!

Odd that it would have the M22 behind a 396, they were normally reserved for the LS6 motors..
I had one in my ‘66 GTO 3x2.. They were incredible transmissions..
