i gave it some thought but i cant come up with any way to do it from the inside.... it would require replacing a block from one of the edges (not corner) of the cube with a piston, powering it, then placing back 2 blocks in its place. but the problem is to replace blocks from one of the edges, it would require going in from one of the sides, but since it would have remove and put in place a piston into the edge, it needs alot more blocks removed... i cant wrap my head around all the mechanics!

make an oldschool campfire extinguisher but twice in a row :P
blockswap 2 pistons in a wall, retract the blocks above them, grab the blocks from the cubes edge, blockswap one of them with a piston, put it back into the edge, put a redstone block under it, it grabs the corner
Then rectract the piston and blockswap everything back and u have it

@@CubeDoesStuff i think i can now visualize where pistons should go and where blocks need to get swapped, but counting out all the actions that would be needed i can safely say i would never be able to do it in such a small cube! my redstone would be gigantic!
i could deff do it without size limitations tho ^^
