It's all on Levy. He's created this; a culture of failure and most of the fans have ACCEPTED it! So, now the players have too. They probably look at Spurs as no more than a stepping stone to a bigger/better club and/or an easy paycheck, where they earn a bigger salary than at their previous club(s). No manager can fix this.

He's been making key decisions for this club since March 2001. How many managers has Levy fired or forced to quit? The players all know. We're not a big club, nowhere near, the shameless owners have built an infrastructure and in conjunction with the media bracketed us in with serial trophy winning clubs which seems designed more for business opportunities, power and influence within the Haringey borough and global spotlight towards their ambitions for their property and land development. The football club identity is the central factor around that holding the ongoing project together and detracts attention away from the wider encroachment on that area of London. That's the kind of energy that permeates the club and which I think Conte was alluding to when he passionately questioned what the club was about. Jose in his more diplomatic way humorous way has shone a light on it and now I think Ange is waking up to what's going on at the club and what his employers are about.
the inability to string together anything substantive in final 3rd is having an effect in how much effort they put into winning back the ball.. like 'here we go again' is written on their faces when the head drops after turning it over.. One reason why this final 3rd play is so difficult is b/c we are NEVER in any meaningful transition advantages, which is supposed to be a byproduct of playing the ball out successfully; but we pass back too much, allowing the defense time to get set. All of it connected. Set pieces are rubbish too, partly bc we are poor in the air, partly we are unprepared, partly effort.
This is one hundred percent not on Ange. This is on the players.

The Plan A(NGE)ball is the problem...his ideology requires the BEST players to win...he isnt realistic, he hasn't adjusted to the ability of the squad...A good coach gets the best out of the players...bringing Ange in who has only experienced Mickey Mouse level competitions is a mistake...he just isnt EPL level with this squad.

We horseshoe the ball around the opposition, going from side to side… yes we end up with most of the possession but do sod all with it… Ang was screaming at the players to pass it forward.. the fact that he had to do that shows they are not listening to him.. 2 more set pieces that killed us. He has to change so we are more defensively secure..
Tactically we are naive and teams know they can easily expose our weaknesses.

Half the squad needs replacing with better quality but that'll never happen as Levy won't spend the money. He brought in a DoF, new Chief Scout etc but will ignore their recommendations and bid for the likes of Solanke and sign a timid Werner because he's cheap.
It's the same team, the same manager, the same tactics that played so well the first 10 games. So what's changed.
Opposition Managers have used Thier Tactical Brains to work out how to Defend and Counter Attack. And they have sussed out that Ange has no Plan B .

As a neutral, Spurs look tired both mentally and physically. Which isn't so surprising considering the type of high octane football they have played this season, while learning a whole new system of playing. It takes a toll at this time of the season.
