I can understand it if Enzo and the other players feel disappointed, however, I hope they'll understand that it's for a good reason. Enzo is central to the team, he's also not been able to form a formidable partnership with Caceido. He needs to be around for the preseason.

Maybe you will touch on it in a future show but Maresca inverted his RB into the midfield leaving the LB as a wide LCB. Does Maatsen fit that setup? I believe Colwill is tailor made for it and James too if Maresca flips that tactic to the right. Maybe that’s why we are hearing about acquiring a second new cb and new lb. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Maatsen, Chalobah, Disasi, Casadei, Gallagher, Santos, and Chilwell sold or loaned this window.

We were lucky to have Enzo injured if not we could have ended in 15th position. We saw how pep dropt big money signings on bench.

If Enzo was given permission by POCH to play for Argentina in Paris, that is a very different set of facts. Enzo knew Poch’s system - I assume. The firing changed all that, but Enzo and Argentina undoubtedly relied on assurances given to them by a Chelsea management representative - Pochetino. Argentina could accommodate Chelsea here. Paris is 30 minutes from London by air. Perhaps Chelsea and Argentina could work this out.

Sell chilwell and keep maatsen , maatsen will fit the way maresca wants to play and chilwell is injury prone + we will probably sell him for the 35m they would get for maatsen so in return we keeping a younger Lb that will suit the system, not injury prone and still get the 35m its a win win for chelsea also the wage bill would come down too

And what FFP have to do with managers announcement. Just players transfer fee, salary and agent fees count. And it count from 1 July. This is why we should sell players before 30 of June.
