The science behind smelly armpits.

Never thought I’d be doing this, but I actually spent some time digging into the biomechanics behind why your armpits smell, and well, it is fascinating, so I had to make a whole video about it!
Where does the smell come from?
The stink happens when sweat reaches the surface of your skin and the bacteria in your armpits start growing and producing stinky gasses.
2 ways to prevent:
1️⃣ Traditional antiperspirants contain aluminum salts that mix with sweat, creating a gel-like substance that temporarily blocks pores, so it never has a chance to reach the bacteria, so → less smell.
2️⃣ Aluminum free deodorants like this one from @secret don’t contain aluminum salts. Instead, they create an unfriendly environment for the bacteria, making it hard for them to grow, so that when the sweat does reach the surface of your armpits, there is less bacteria producing gas, therefore → less smell.
Interesting huh? - Jak na to + styl
Not gonna lie I thought this was about her designing a deodorant perfect for working out because that would be sick
Me too haha
SAME LOL 😂
SANE LMAO
Same
Same!!!!
However if you’re problem is with excessive sweating, this deodorant is exactly that. A deodorant, but not an antiperspirant. It won’t help
Exactly I haven't found a deodorant that stops me from smelling as soo as I leave the house
Yeah she just explained tgat
Yea it's cool that she is giving people this information if they are looking for a arm deodorant to try or something but I am a heavy sweater and get hot flashes a lot so the arm deodorants I use usually prevent sweat
I struggled with this and I would sweat right through aluminum antiperspirant. I switched to plain deodorant without aluminum and after a brief transition period of a week or 2 I was sweating less. I would at least give it a try.
@@LostSaltShaker try men's spray on deodorant. Or the medical grade deodarant
As someone who lives near the dead sea, PLEASE DO NOT promote products that use dead sea salt. The sea is shrinking every year due to salt extraction factories. It's a huge environmental issue. Just. Please.
@@lolapittman4940 I think they meant to say "dead sea" is shrinking due to huge salt extraction by factories
Wow i just looked it up. That's really scary, had no idea. Thank you.
@@lolapittman4940 they evaporate the water to extract the salt and then water is not replaced into the dead sea and I think you can understand the problem with that. personally i believe dead sea salt extraction is not problematic considering the pros and cons vs aluminum deodorants (risks to human body)
As a naturalist I'm agree with you
Lol...
de-ODOR-ant is to mask the smell
anti-PERSPIRANT (perspire) is to block sweat
As someone who has hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating-mainly on my hands) I have always had the frustration of not being able to find a product with both of these elements: blocking my excessive sweat AND making it smell good (while not being super $$$). might just have to create my own atp 🤷🏽♀️
I also have this and if you’re looking to go all natural I suggest a salt rock antiperspirant (I wish I could remember the brand). It takes a few days to work but when you stop using it you’ll sweat and a drip will hit you and for some weird reason you’ll think “why did that happen?!”
@@MaryJane-tp3qd thank you, I will try that ! And thanks for commenting I didn’t realize this comment got likes I thought it got burried lolll
Me too! I also want antiperspirant in cardboard packaging but it doesn’t seem like any company has started to do that.
@@cece5449 Also salt rock worked for me for about 2 years, but then my suddenly stopped. I had to go back to aluminum 🤷♀️
Look up the MiraDry treatment, it's minimal invasive and has no downtime after the procedure. I had it done and it worked! A bit pricy though, but totally worth it.
I didn't know that. I'll need to try this one out because Degree is discontinuing my current fav aluminum-free deodorant.
The one in this video works so good. I’ve used it for awhile, I love it!
the aluminum free one in the vid is so good i really recommend it. i have the coconut one and it’s really nice!
Try dove free 48hr black and white spray. ITS AMAZING
I use both this Secret as well as Dove. I love both!
Native is not bad either
The best deodorant I've ever used is an alum rock. Just add water and rub against a clean armpit. Almost two days odorless with no fragance added, doesnt irritate the skin, doesnt leave any stains on clothes, it last waaay to long and is prolly the most enviromentally friendly deodorant out there.
I've tried that and it didn't really work on its own for me, I had to combine it with another deodorant for it to work
@@reka9797 me too. But my friend told me she tried that thing between her buttcrack for vacation cause it was so hot down there (she's kinda big too so I get why she worried about that) and didn't want to smell like sweaty butt by mid day despite showering morning and night and she said it worked really good! Lmao she said rinse it really good after abd before each use and label it with permanent marker so you don't mix it up with the one you use just for your pits.
Idk it does sound clever but I'd be scared of irritation but then again salt is antibacterial. I'd definitely would hide doing it from my hub that one if I tried it! haha
@@constantine9142 That is actually pretty smart. I would be a little scared because I shave down there but maybe I'd give it a try :)
@@reka9797 me too that's another thing but idk maybe it's like the ocean. I burn first hour so bad where I shave but my skin looks great after when I'm prone to ingrown hairs so bad on my legs despite my best attempts. Not down there tho just back of my thighs, knees and side of my calves is the worst.
@@constantine9142 yes I struggle with that too. The people that have smooth skin after shaving are so lucky. I thought about giving up and not even shaving anymore lmao
Lumē is my all time favorite. I tend to have allergic reactions to the other natural deodorants. Lumē is the only one that works for me. That and megababes space bar for soap. Never stink!
Love Lume!
Yes i have the same experience with Lume!
YES! I could stink through Old Spice men's deodorant, Lume has legit changed my life!
Lume is the truth, omg. Love it ✨
Lume smells like garbage
There’s one from vanicream and it’s definitely recommended by many dermatologists too and it is alcohol and fragrance free. These two definitely cause more problems.
That deodorant is basically made of water it does nothing for BO
Nah, tried it still allergic. I've tried so many natural and chemical deo. All gave me very bad hives and burn. I'm allergic to everything on the armpit even aloe vera gel. The only thing I can put is calamine lotion. If anyone has recommendations please let me know. I'm too poor to go to a specialist and government just say I'm a lying baby even tho I have pictures of my peeling raw armpits.
And yes I have strong BO so my life is so fucked by being stinky and in pain. I shower twice a day so don't tell me I'm unhygienic.
@@mrmofo2215 Have you tried pink salt? Like a block of himalayan salt? I've heard it works for the smell
@@billie3811 Tried all types of salt deo before. Roll on, crystal, and spray. Salt types gave me cracked dry raw armpit.
Aluminum free doesn’t do crap for those that are outside a lot, in my experience.
Heads up for those with manual labor jobs.
Yo, also check out that comment about the Dead Sea having too much salt extraction. Had no idea
I've been looking for a good aluminum free deodorant, but I have, well, particularly bad smell sometimes and most of them don't work. So far Lume is the only one that has worked for me and even that is only with a couple of their scents. I didn't know Secret had one and frankly, Lume is pricey. I might have to give this a try. (I just really hope it doesn't end up in the pile of half used "doesn't work" deodorants.)
Have you tried native? I have sensitive skin and found that it works for me. It also smells great.
@@fruitrollup2790 I have not. I've been tempted by it, but I just don't want to end up with another deodorant that doesn't work for me. Does it keep you smelling fresh throughout the day?
@@AutumnFictions Try using a sugar scrub a few times a week. I have the same issue and using the exfoliate makes it easier for the deodorant to work. I was using Lume, but I moved back to Secret now that I use the trick.
@@AutumnFictions I've tried the vanilla Native one and it didn't work for me. I guess it depends on how much you sweat since their saying it's good.
pleaseeeeeeee try crystal deodorant roll on. it is so awesome. they have one that has no scent (i use that one) and they have some that are scented. i think 3/4 dollars.
For me it comes down to a simple choice
Am I going into a high stress situation (for me, that might be a job interview or a first date) ? -- antiperspirant
For regular everyday stuff -- aluminum free deoderant is just fine, especially if you are keeping up with hygiene. I found my sweat also ended up being a lot more manageable the less aluminum I wore, but not sure why exactly. It might have to do with other ingredients that were promoting bacteria growth on my armpits in the aluminum antiperspirant.
I do the same!! It works well for me and I feel good about it.
Same! I thought I just sweated a lot but I haven’t had any problems since using aluminum free products.
Many ppl will experience even more sweat with an antiperspirant because it is literally blocking the pathway. When the effects wear off, it'll come flooding like a river.
What do u recommend for someone who walks all day at work and sweats a lot?
Some essential oils in natural deodorants are there not only for the nice smell but also to prevent that bacteria growth. Have used those for years now and I've never smelled better even on days I don't use deodorant.
The chemicals in regular deodorants actually make you stink
You will still sweat. You SHOULD still sweat. It's not generally bad - it's your body's way of cooling itself!
The sweat glands in armpits accounts for around 2% of the sweat glands in your entire body, so by (temporarily) reducing the amount of sweat from the armpits by any means, isn't going to disrupt the thermal regulation functions that the body needs.
Highly recommand Crystal's stick deodorant!
I love you when you get science-y! Thanks for this info, Cassey!🤗
Magnesium completely eliminates BO, btw! Internally it takes a while of supplementing but you can you use it topically, there’s deodorants with Magnesium salts too 😃
For those of us who feel like they always smell no matter what deodorant they use: make sure you’re cleaning your armpits with antibacterial soap!!! It took me years to understand why I had to keep switching deodorants because they weren’t working or would only kinda work. Antibacterial soap kills all the bacteria in your armpits that cause the odor so your armpits have a truly clean canvas for your deodorant to work. Everything else I was using wasn’t antibacterial so it would just mask the smell but never truly eliminate it. So yeah if you have a this problem try an antibacterial soap like Irish Spring or Dial Gold in the shower. You can still follow up with your favorite soap or body wash after!
Secret always breaks me out for someone reason no matter the smell it leaves a rash on my armpit and arm
If you really want aluminum free try arm and hammer, white base orange top, it has a almost rosemary scent but I also have extremely sensitive skin and it is bombbb
Thank you for not just saying “everything natural is better chemicals are bad fire is scary”type shit i really appreciate an actual analysis of the facts, not only is it rare on youtube, but its conpletely unheard of in shorts.
I never used to smell bad in my armpits. But I did sweat a lot and started to use the Dove spray one and it made me smell fresh even after 24 hrs (i work in healthcare and get up to 36hrs work hours don’t judge me haha). However, after I stopped, I started smelling reallyyyyy bad after a few months of not using and was so surprised. I switched my sensitive skin soap into an antibacterial soap and that let me stop being smelly. I haven’t used deodorants since.
Wow, healthcare is no joke! Geez, I can’t even stay up for 36 hours. Thank you for your service in healthcare.
After many trials and many errors, I found that Native deodorant is my favorite. It's pretty expensive so I ended up sticking with the Hello Humans brand (works the same for half the price), but I still like Native a tiny bit better for some reason. I sweat alot and things can get pretty funky if I don't have the right deodorant on, but these keep me smelling good all day. Schmitz also worked well for keeping the funk at bay but it gave me a rash. So I usually wear Hello Humans on active days, and wear the Arm & Hammer aluminum free on chill days and/or before bed
I love the dove 0 aluminum deodorant. There’s no strong perfume and it works for me! It’s also very light feeling.
I love your jumpers!!!
where can I get one???
Had an allergic reaction to the secret aluminum free deodorant
Me too
I have been using anti-perspirant free/natural deo for about 8 years and started with using baking soda (which is extremely abrasive), then I diy’ed my own deo which got daunting. After years of natural deodorant fails, I settled in on a few that actually works: the rock deodorant stick, arm n hammer (non anti-pers) or crystalline roll-on. Btw, I’ve tried the Secret non anti-pers and it was one of the worse one I’ve tried. It leaves an extreme amount of residue, doesn’t control odor and i feel like i sweated a lot more lol
Wow, this is actually really helpful! Thanks for the info.
I actually have the exact same aluminum free deodarant. And my my it's been a game changer for me I absolutely love it!
No natural deodorant has ever worked for me. I detoxed for months, did underarm masks, scrubs everything. My odor is too strong unfortunately. I’ve tried every brand nothing actually works
try rubbing a lemon slice on clean skin then rinse it off (only water) after 10 ish mins
it’s only thing that worked for me + it lasts 1-2 days
U have to reapply after a shower though(soap removes the effect)
I tried the kiehl's body fuel deodorant and it really works. Plus, in the shower I use the panoyxl 10% from Target and leave on for 5-7 minutes. That works bits by bits. Been doing that a while, and doesn't smell anymore doing that.
Great job with the secret add. Spot on!
love that sweatshirt!! where can i get one?
I don’t use deodorant and I don’t smell. I stopped about 5 years ago. No smelly pits here!! 🙋🏻♀️ and I see my favorite perfume in the pic, Lanvin, eclat d’arpege. The purple bottle! 💜💜
When you do switch though your natural sweat will come back and you'll find your odor does as well, but don't panic. You're body will adjust and the sweatiness and odor will regulate. I like Native deodorant, but I bet this one works just as good and probably cheaper.
Lies I smell really bad when I sweat without antiperspirant. It started at puberty and has not changed
@@tatihinds4939 Before you go saying this is lies and I could be wrong but I think you possibly misunderstood what they were talking about. I believe they’re talking about something your body goes through when you switch to a natural product. A couple months ago I started using natural/homemade deodorant and there was this window where my armpits were detoxing and they were stinkier than just not wearing deodorant or antiperspirant but it went back to normal after a little while. The aluminum in a lot of products seems to almost block what you would normally excrete and using them for years makes a sort of build up that needs to be detoxed meaning there’s some stinkiness that may make you feel like a natural product isn’t working, I think the point they were making was something to do with the detoxing process. Pretty much you switch, there’s a stinky detox period then it really starts to work how it was meant to.
I need to switch to aluminum free. But I’m allergic to secret and I’ve developed a few cyst over the years because of the aluminum clogging up my pores. ( cyst are currently not active , but have bad scars leftover from having to get them drained)
Maybe try making deodorant at home! It’s actually pretty straight forward and you can make it in small batches until you can really find what works best for you. I would probably start with a recipe that doesn’t have tons of baking soda because that can be pretty harsh when you first switch. And keep in mind you might feel a little stinky when switching to something without aluminum
I honestly don't care about the smell, I just don't want to be drenched in sweat while doing literally nothing lmao
Just yes: I have that exact deodorant. It's good. It works perfectly fine. It doesn't stop sweating though, just masks scent.
I tried this already and it worked perfectly fine for me. Love it 💕
I’ve tried so many aluminum free deodorant’s and Secret has by far been the best
i wear aluminum free because my dad thinks it’s healthier and yes it doesn’t smell AS MUCH, but it still smells, and it feels horrible because you still sweat a TONNN and no one likes the feeling of being sweaty 🥵
Why is nobody talking about the Arm & Hammer deodorant? They have an Essentials line that can be used by men and women with natural deodorizers and free of aluminum parabens and phthalates. It works for 24 hours it's new and improved now with more odor Fighters and moisturizers. The one I have now is coconut geranium. It contains baking soda and natural plant extracts to absorb and fight odor.
It works GREAT for all types of people...and the ingredients are vegetable derived water sodium stearate sodium bicarbonate Bergamot oil coconut oil geranium flower oil tetrasodium EDTA, ethylhexylglycerin, and allantoin.
I love the secret deodorant. Switched from toms and I’m happy with it 😊
Go Cassey! Thank you for sharing your knowledge, 💛.
My sister was on aluminum free deodorant as she thought normal stuff was irritating her, but it was the opposite she had red bumps under her armpits almost like a rash, it never really irritated her, but her armpits did not look happy. I let her borrow mine for the day until we dug out the extra deodorant and gave her a regular one. Bumps all gone, and happy arm pits.
Fun fact: Dead Sea salt is a different kind of problematic though. The Dead Sea is literally disappearing because of the excessive use of its salts in products.
I really like the lume deodorant, it works on the bacteria to keep the smell away.
OK, I definitely need that phone case. Love the chain!
Okay so I have a skin condition, and I recently found out that aluminum was what was causing me to break out because I have a sort of allergic reaction to it so I switch to a brand called Vanicream (I have to order it off of Amazon) but it works really great and they make antiperspirant deodorant that keeps you from sweating and smelling without aluminum
This was very educational. Thank you!
Me looking back and forth my deodorant and hers and realizing it's the same: 🙂
Thank you for this, I have been wanting to change but was worried ❤
When I’m with my mom, she doesn’t allow me to get aluminum deodorant because she read something saying it can increase cause of cancers later in life or something like that.
The aluminum irritates my skin alot so I go aluminum free. If you're worried about aluminum free not being powerful enough, get a deodorant with a thick application, apply a little bit of rubbing alcohol before, or try a deodorant with a strong citrus aroma. It'll help
I couldn’t care less about smell tbh. I have hyperhydrosis so my pit stains will be BASKET BALL SIZED. Now, the antiperspirant I have used for 4 years is called “Carpe”. It is the best antiperspirant I have ever used and I don’t have put stains anymore. Like at all.
Summer was my depression season because I was limited to one color and one color only, black. I couldn’t wear anything else in fear that my basket ball sized pit stains would come out. But carpe let’s me wear whatever I want to wear. Love it so much.
If you apply at night it helps very much. I use the brand Vanity, or “Natura Todo Dia” both fragrance/perfume free. And it works very well.
Another tip to combine is to wash your arm tip am/pm with Benzoyl Peroxide, which is known as a Acne fighter ingredient, but it dose help killing bad bacteria that causes smell.
Follow Dr. Ray for more info. She is a board certified Dermatologist. I learned with her and my life has been changed.
There is recent study that aluminum salts are not cancer causing.
I thought she meant as f--- free i had it on zero volume 😭✋
I smell horrendous. No idea why it just suddenly changed one summer. No difference in diet or anything. I tried everything to get rid of the smell. I couldn’t stand to smell myself anymore it ruined my shirts since the stink got trapped in the fiber and I hat to replace an entire summer and winter wardrobe. Only antitranspirant helps but that episode of my life nearly drove me insane. I wanted to claw my skin of to escape the smell and it was so embarrassing
I understand and that's great for those who don't mind sweat but my issue isn't odor, it's the uncomfortable wetness that I can feel dripping down my side and getting my clothes wet. I don't smell but you can clearly see it so please block that shizznit off! 😉😊
I'm allergic to the aluminum free stuff, but that's quickly becoming all that is available in my area.
I use nivea alcohol-free free role on deodorant as it doesn't make me smell or is scented so it doesn't effect my asthma. Since using this deodorant, i have never have anyone come up to me and say i smell.
Rubbing alcohol also kills the bacteria but it's very drying on your skin, so if you go this route you need to have a good skin moisturizer as well.
Huh. Good to know. I need to make the switch to aluminum free because that blocking stuff isn't doing me any good. Thanks for the info!😊
Native deoterent works really well and has a lot of scents
I just use men’s, I’ve personally seem that with the brand that I use, I still sweat but I don’t stink. (It also doesn’t say aluminum free)
Same women’s ones don’t work for me
I used that exact deodorant. Not impressed. So glad when I finished it up and could go back to my dear Old Spice Pure Sport which is also aluminum free but is more effective at preventing odors all day. That Secret deodorant would take me through the work day but Old Spice takes me through the work day AND my workout without reapplying!
I like her so Much! She’s so open an candid and brave for literally effortlessly and shamelessly talking about those uncomfy things ( eg crotch in leggings stuff )
I don't know why... actually my armpits smell very worse after using perfumes and deodorants. (I mean after the hours of using it). There were literally no problem when i didn't use any of these and just used to take baths. 🙄
my armpits used to smell really bad when swaet even if I put on dofferent types of deodorants and antiperspirants. It also doesn't help that I live in a hot country.
The solution I found was a skin cleanser (chlorhexidine digluconate), that was prescribed to me when I had a wound. It had stated in the indications that is was a general skin and wound cleanser with persistent antimicrobial activity and I haven't smelled bad eversince
TL;DR: Use a skin and wound cleanser. Chlorhexidine Digluconate is the name
Kosas has a great deodorant that works by lowering ph of the skin, much like the deodorant she mentioned, but uses AHA. It makes your skin inhospitable to the bacteria that creates the BO. It’s a great way to naturally reduce odor, lightly exfoliates your underarm and the ingrown hairs I usually get from shaving are literally gone. Safely using acids under your arm are amazing for odor and naturally allow you to sweat. This is coming from someone with sensitive skin! If you excessively sweat, look into Botox or Miradry. I’ve heard both are great solutions. Hope this helps someone
But you know that deodorant and antiperspirant are not the same thing?
Yes lol bc I have allergic reactions to aluminum so I switched to antiperspirant
Thay deodorant is a life saver. The regular ones made me scratch at my skin so badly it got super red and swollen. The other ones I tried attempted to mask the odour and failed.
This makes me so glad that I stopped using deodorant years ago. And no I don't have horrible body odor. All the deodorants I tried made my skin under my arms turn super dark & was really self conscious about so I just stopped using deodorant all together. I found the longer I didn't use it, the more I didn't need it. Any deodorant you use is going to be bad for you because it's blocking the toxins from coming out of your body when you sweat. I'm also saving money
I stopped using aluminum deodorant because my pores kept getting clogged and if I didn't put deodorant on soon enough in the morning I would start to stink really bad. Now that I'm using aluminum-free deodorant if I take a little longer in the morning to apply deodorant it's not a problem. If I forget all together it's not really a problem
My fave of these new type of deodorants is a brand called Nuud !! I don't remember the ingredients but there was clay and silver in it I think? Anyways, I rarely have to apply deodorant anymore, I apply maybe once a week and after adjusting to using it I don't get any smelly it's-been-too-long-since-last-time situations anymore ! When I worked out more I would apply twice a week, max. I have forgotten that I seriously had to apply deo every day/other day and it broke so easily when I went swimming etc, too... Was not fun, ever. I've been using Nuud since 2019 and use one tube in 6-9 months, which is way longer than what they advertise for. So cheap!! I know I sound like a salesperson (which I did use to do lol), but I genuinely think going aluminium free is the game changer! Go try it for a month or so!
I have heard about it some time ago and I am really looking forward to try it! 🙏 thanks 🙏
I use native and it works well with me. There's also days that I don't use any and my pits don't smell
Very cool! Thank you!
I love my new vegan antiperspirant 🥰 I don’t usually smell when I sweat, but I love to prevent embarrassing sweat stains 👍🏻 I hate these other natural “deodorants”
What brand is it? Vegan antiperspirant has me intrigued
@@Lauragreat913 it is called Duradry. They have a stick version and a night serum for those with more excessive sweating concerns
This sounds super cool and I totally would try it except for the fact that when I wear deodorant because I don’t want to sweat stains
I had a really bad reaction to the secret aluminum free. You don't know hell until you have had a painful stinging and itchy rash in your arm pit
i've been using secret's aluminum free for about a year+, no issues and actually, i find i buy and use less deodorant, i.e: i might have bought say, 4 deodorants a year, now i probably buy 2, so it might be more expensive (where i am) but it's cheaper and overall better in the long run
I'm allergic to the aluminum in most deodorants so I have to use natural
That aluminum free is the exact deodorant I use because a lot of deodorant makes me itchy
Ok y'all I used Schmidts deodorant for like 5 years and it never worked!! For about 6 months now I have been using each and every deodorant. It's the best natural deodorant I have ever used!! Highly recommended!
I haven't used deodorant in years. I learned that STRESS is what makes you stink. If I can smell myself, I know I am stressing, I identify the source of the stress and stop stinking. I can exercise vigorously, be drenched with sweat, and NOT stink because I'm not stressing.
Smell better but still sweaty?
Also, putting on a lot of deodorant that has aluminium constantly may lead to breast cancer.
my experiences in using both aluminum and non aluminum is that non aluminum was not good for my smell level even as a fairly inactive person
i found myself odorous about three or four hours into my day and was never satisfied. i reccomend aluminum
The good thing is is that when I started wearing deodorant, I use an aluminum free deodorant from the start so my body is already used to aluminum free deodorant
Schmidt’s is also a really good aluminum free deodorant that REALLY works! The lime is the best. Also, you’re really awesome!
Omg where is your jacket from it’s so cute!!!
First of all, shave off all the armpit hair. Being hairless keeps one's underarms clean, there is less smell, less odour, less bacteria & less of anything nasty. Secondly, deodorant is NOT for everyone. Wear perfume instead as it lasts longer. Also, have a bath. Bath twice or even thrice a day once you start to sweat. Keep yourself clean.
I've tried so many aluminum free deodorants and none of them work for me (aluminum free is actually the more common type of deodorant in Germany). So I always make sure I get one that does have aluminum
Lume is my go to. Not an anti perspirant, but I could stink through men's Old spice deodorant. With Lume I almost never stink, even through power lifting and cardio.
Ah! That makes a lot more sense.
Hello I love your hoodie and I see that it’s for yoga which adults mostly do but could you design some for kids because I would love to get one for my sisters
i actually have to use aluminum free because i’m allergic to the ones with aluminum. i love the secret ones
I use benzoyl peroxide wash on my armpits. Then I’ll put on perfume in my armpits. Haven’t wore deodorant since. No one has complained yet.
Sometimes, I’ll use the Neutrogena benzoyl peroxide mask all over my face and my armpits as well as my back. No clogged pores yet.
I'm allergic to stuff with aluminum 🥲
I have tried Aluminum free deodorant of many different types and none of them work for me. Unfortunately I never got to try Secret because thier deodorant makes me break out into a rash
I'm so curious as to who is more concerned about smell rather than pit stains. Imo if my antiperspirant prevents sweat, then I don't even need any fragrances
i’ve don’t use aluminum deodorant anymore cause most deodorant has citrus scents in it and the aluminum cuts my skin and the citrus irritates it…it’s complicated but i have an allergic reaction when i use aluminum so i just don’t lol 😂
