You gave me tons of ideas. I am a waterer for a nursery and we use a connected double hose to reach a wide area.Much too heavy to use a reel, so I suggested
something like what you just made. About waist high to keep from bending over too much, easy on the back and arms. But maybe two of these posts side by side. This video will be my presentation to the lumber and mill works dept. this was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!}} THANK YOU, sooooooooooooo much!

There is a simpler way. I fill the hole with dry concrete mix and leave the hose on trickle to water slowly. Top with dirt and voila!

I have yet to figure out how you do all this and your clothes are never dirty in the end! I can't walk across the yard to my car and not get dirt somewhere. LOL
