@@CraitMercdidnt thrawn defeat an enemy by studying their music and finding out their weaknesses? I dont think it would be far fetched to assume thrawn is a music buff
What's most weird is that while the Star Destroyer and the Night Troopers are all visibly worn down, the TIE fighters all look to be in pristine condition...?
Quite possible that they didn't use them. The ISD was wrecked by the space whales, the troopers were fighting the bandits and possibly the fauna of the planet, so it would make sense TIEs were not used often to save fuel. Also we didn't get a close-up so... hard to tell.
@@jeffdillon1972 Most I can say is, Thrawn had no means to create any TIE-Defenders during his involuntary absence and he never got to the stages of mass producing them either before his absence.
Exactly. A ghost ship, with an undead crew and only the captain being alive and cursed to wander the seas/stars, conspiring with abominable witches, seeking salvation. All "nautical/sea/pirate" etc tropes in one, in Star Wars. God, I love Dave Filoni
There's a fine balance between introducing "offness", while also landing the big intro and having it feel as grandiose & imposing as it should. With the soundtrack alone, it feels like both effects were achieved; the visuals of a large, cult-like military force that has been brutally battered does much of the rest. Thrawn still dons his iconic white uniform, but even here there are small signs of wear. It's highly intriguing.
This reminds me of Baroque music during the 16th and 17th centuries, and how it represented the bulk of European culture and power, but relied on disjointed and off-put scales and notes. The scene is meant to be a revival of the Empire and of Thrawn himself, but the visuals and music convey an unspoken brokenness to it all
There’s something else that kinda slightly wierded me out about the Night Troopers with their movement. When normal Stormtroopers turn to escort the VIP, there’re more rigid in that sort of parade-type of movement. But with these guys, especially here 1:03 , there’s an almost unnatural fluidity to their motion.
Why does everyone keep saying they’re zombies, if they were then why haven’t the dead night sisters they’re transporting been resurrected too? Also Thrawn said their numbers have dwindled so that means the remaining ones are alive
Yeah I think the Stormtroopers we saw in that scene are seriously worn down, but alive. But they are gonna start reanimating their actual casualties rather sooner than later.
@@nrgaothey fixed up their armor with nicht sister stuff and they’ve been living on the Nichtswissers world for a really long time. Thrawn's exile should have been made into a book instead of his time in the Chiss Ascendancy. Those books were okay but this needs more explanation. The nightsister thing popped up out of nowhere.
To be fair, we had no idea what had actually happened by the time the Chiss Ascendancy books were written, and I don’t Zhan was told either. That being said, Zhan is almost certainly looking forward to writing the books covering Thrawn’s exile
He's talked about his interest in creating books during his exile. I gurantee those books will happen, but the outcome of what happened had to come first before he could write the books.
