“We spoke out against racism, hunger, gangs, crimes, and turf wars, as we embraced all people with hope and the spirit of brotherhood. It’s just as apropos today.” - WAR
WAR, the original street band, was founded by veteran record producer Jerry Goldstein and rock legend Eric Burdon in 1969. Together with the original band members Lonnie Jordan, Howard Scott, Lee Oskar, B.B. Dickerson, Harold Brown, the late Thomas “Papa Dee” Allen, and Charles Miller, they blended many musical styles and influences. The musical laboratory that is WAR yielded 17 gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards, including the triple platinum ‘The World Is A Ghetto’ and double platinum ‘Why Can’t We Be Friends?’ and ‘Greatest Hits’, and hit songs "Why Can't We Be Friends?", "Low Rider", "Spill the Wine", and "The Cisco Kid".
WAR began playing live shows to sold-out audiences in the 1970s and continues their commitment to being road WARriors, touring over 150 dates a year to this day. - Hudba
I'm 65 in 2024 and I still love this song it's a song for laying out in a field looking up at the clouds
Praise the Lord for letting me enjoy this music for 50 years +.
No better times on the history of the world. War was a great band. 70's music will never be out done.
Lee Oskar was WAR's best harmonica player.
Lee Oskar is an Original WAR member
He released solo albums of his harmonica playing
You know it's great music, when outside newer members respected and loved the original music so much, they put it in their arsenals of skill to emulate the original music to the note.
I love them all Sinatra, Ella, E,W, & F, Chicago, Maze, .... can't name them all here But, this my favorite all time song. It puts me in the happiest of places. Thank you for this song War.
True talent here kids pay close attention to "real" music and "real" talent...Timeless and not mindless...
Yea Sir. Pay close attention. School is in session!!
Amen to that !🙌🙌
Loved this tune when I was a kid. Now 60 I love it even more.

Me too!
Lonnie Jordan needs to reunite with the Original War-mates: Howard Scott, Lee Oskar, & Harold Brown. Make it happen, Lonnie.

When music and musical talent was real ... no synthesizers, rendering software, just great vocal and instrumental abilities. Long time ago.

I hope with all my heart I get the chance to see WAR perform live. I’m only 21 but I grew up listening to them thanks to my grandma and mama♥️ and I’m fortunate enough to have them both around still. I just hope we get the chance to see WAR together. Go away covid!!!!
It's a shame they can't get the original group back together
Growing up in my household you would more than likely know every song from this album word for word lol. My dad always had this and some James Brown playing. Both still on heavy rotation to this day 😁 Definitely music for the soul.
Me too! Same story. This album and the live James Brown "Ain't it Funky Now" album.
Good choices ☺️
Please come to St. Louis! Please, please, pretty please! I've been listening since I was 4-when their music was still new and coming out!! Love WAR! Maybe I could get to Kansas City...

Awesome
I saw them in concert in the summer of ‘97… I’ll never forget the feeling of hearing them live. ❤
Just saw these guys last month, they had a different harmonica player, saxophone player, and a new bass player though, but it was the greatest show I've ever seen!
This tune is sublime. What a tremendous group of musicians/vocalists.
Memories flowing back like the wind through a 1972 Cadillac with the windows rolled down, causing a mild havoc all up & through my afro, yo!
I love this song from war, reminds me of Summer cruzin music back in the days.
Such a fine jam ... takes me back.
Such a smooth vibe!
They sound great. Love it. I can listen to this all day for real
Very nice brothers,,,
Reminiscing, high school years!!!!
So nice...just drift away on the melody. Takes me back to a wonderful place and time. Thanks for the great music.
This sound! War was the soundtrack to my growing years. They still got it.
Love this tune! I grew up hearing it and playing it with my band MARO in the late 70's! I am in my late 60's now and kind of a little behind Lonnie Jordan's age but he taught me more about keyboard playing along with another keyboardist from Santana. When people listen to my original music, they hear influences of Lonnie in my original music! Thanks Lonnie for the great music you have produced over the years. I love this version of "All Day Music" even more than the original one! I pray one day I get to jam with you on my Hammond XK-1c. A few years back, I had a big wooden Hammond B-3 with a 147 Leslie Speaker but they were too big to load around to my presentations and gigs around the US, so I had to sell them and settle for my Hammond XK-1c, which also kicks live! Thank you Lonnie for your awesome music over the years and the musical influence! Thank you again for this beautiful song!🙏❤🎹🎤
Still listening in 2021," all day."

And again and again 🎶🙏🎶 🌹🌈🌏♥️✌️ Munich 2 0 2 1
Where are the original guys lonnie Jordan where is everyone😢Scott are used to know everybody name by heart my favorite group
That's what I thought. All the original members were brothas with the addition of Lee Oscar. I was shocked when I last saw them perform. It's a whole new cast of characters.
Can’t imagine what the 11👎’s were thinking! Must be a mistake!
Anybody know the personnel here?
Still doin" gigs....
Where are the original members?
