In the beginning God created Heaven and Earth. He created humans too to have a relationship with Him. That's our purpose as humans that have a relationship with God. Sin, however, messed that up because it made us imperfect and imperfect creatures cannot have a relationship with a perfect and holy God. That's why we so oftentimes feel empty, unsatisfied and unaccomplished because we're not in relationship with the God we were created to be in a relationship with. But that's where Jesus comes in. Jesus is God's son and He came down to earth in human form to live the same life we do yet unlike us He never sinned. Jesus is perfect. Yet despite the fact He is perfect He died on the cross for our sins and sacrifice Himself for us. The punishment for our sins is death but because Jesus took that punishment for us if we put our faith in Him and receive Him as Lord and savior we can be reconciled to God and be restored to that relationship we were created to have. And we can be sure that Jesus is the Son of God because on the 3rd day God raised Him from the dead and in that He defeated death and the grave, proving that He can do the same for us if we put our faith in trust in Him. That's how you get to Heaven. That's how you become full in your heart. That's how you become reconciled to the God who created you.

I used to feel like I was fighting the cold, and then I realized it's just a transference of heat, when you get into a hot shower your skin prickles and then eventually you adjust to it and it feels good, when you get into cold water your skin prickles and then it begins to feel good, it really helps me to tell my mind that I'm not hot or I'm not cold but I'm just transferring Heat from one direction to another, then suffering goes away and just becomes a transference of temperature

Just done my first cold 🥶 bath. Outside at night and just had a quick cold shower before getting in. I’ve been doing 5 mins cold showers morning and night most days for about two months. Set the timer to 11 minutes. Focused on my breathing and got in the metal bath. No problem. Sure it was cold but I knew after a couple of mins it would feel great, and it did. The time flew by. Took longer to warm up after getting out, so I had a hot cup of coffee. It’s really not as difficult as you think, just build yourself up to it. Take it steady and feel the benefit 👍

I jump off the bed and get into cold shower every week from monday to friday, for 5 years now (of course some weeks I skip one or two days, sometimes 5 =D, but in the long run the important is to have consistency).
My tip for the ones that are starting is: don’t turn on the shower and stay there waiting for the right moment to jump in, because there won’t be any. Just go and let your emotions flow. Your body will find ways to adapt to this situation and over time this adaptation will get faster and faster. I would say that currently my adaptation takes approximately 10 seconds.

I did cold water training consistently four winters in a row. I got up to nearly ten minutes in water so cold I had to bust in with a hammer. I trained at least once a day though sometimes did multiple sessions a day. All it does is temporarily give you an amazing high like no other along with some physical health benefits. As far as actually improving mental health, it doesn’t do jack shit. If you’re anything like me, when it comes time to talk to some chicks, do an interview or any other moment in life when you badly need to be rid of anxiety/neuroses, you’ll find that much to your dismay, all those cold therapy sessions have completely failed you in this regard. Same goes for the breath work. It is utterly useless as a tool for anxiety but can make you feel good temporarily when practiced in solitude. In conclusion, appreciate the WHM for what it is, a free and healthy way to get high. Don’t set yourself up for disappointment by thinking it’s some life changing limitless pill like I did.

I trained my mind quite a bit since my heart was submerged the whole time. Yeah this ain't war. Force this kinda sh*t without training your vascular system enough over time, and you end up like me, with nerve damage from frostbite.
Frostbite bites harder than fire in my opinion.

I agree but you have to be careful , get some tests first and go slowly. This temperature change can cause even fatal arrhythmias to people with heart issues ❤

Could you talk a bit about breath holding as well? Like I can sometimes hold the breath after 3 rounds without force for about 6 minutes, but then aftertwards my head hurts a bit for the next 2 hours. I am not forcing the breathhold I feel relaxed at the moment, but the aftermath feels wierd. Should I do like 3 min max for safety reasons? I don't to cause myself some brain demage or something. Thank you.

@@markm477 I dunno I guess being a former professional swimmer and also a clarinet player helps, but honestly I can be totally wrong since that was like 15 years ago. Also when I go to sprirometry I am acutally only at 60% of the average values. It also happens just sometimes, but doing 4-5 is no problem if I do the breathing exercise daily few days in a row without a break between the days.

Ice bears in my town (Bratislava) are saying you should stay at least 6minutes in the water for the benefits. But not everyday! Twice a week is optimal. And they are doing it 30 years even longer some of them.

I come to the point that I feel the cold, but I'm not freezing. Not getting that super chock anymore turning off the heat, to cold. The coldest aren't the coldest, but cold enough. Also live in a very cold cabin. But some days I feel I need to be kind to my body.

No, i wouldnt stay in a ice bath for more than 15 minutes. But yea it would prob take a lot longer exposure to really do damage. The thing is he does these things i controlled environments where he can get out lf the cold if he needs to
