Zero SR/F vs GSXS 750 | Is it REALLY faster?

- Dan and I got the check out the new Zero SF/R and wanted to find out is this bike REALLY faster than a normal gas-powered motorcycle or is that just BS. Luckily WOW motorcycles had a GSX-S 750 laying around so we took them both out to see how they perform against one another!
Also, I got attacked by a dove that then became our friend. It was crazy stuff!!

I ride my Zero with no engine braking until I squeeze the brake lever. It's much nicer to coast once you get used to it. Also gives you more control over the regen
I test rode this Zero and though I loved the ride, I HATED the automatic engine braking when riding bumper to bumper and lane-splitting in the city. Your post helps me feel better about the bike for me.
Austin A it’s something to get used to when switching to electric motorcycles. But now I’m used to it too.

Me....so true! I have always been against electric bikes but if it means our planet is going to suffer if we don't conform I'm down. As for now taking advantage of the combustion engine while we still can.
Hey, if you disregard the massive toxic and radioactive lake in China (Baotau) from the rare earth minerals mining operations and the raw sewage, garbage, and oil dumped into the Pacific by the cargo ships that bring those minerals over here, not to mention the monumental amount of emissions they spew (the seven largest alone produce more greenhouse gasses than all the cars and trucks in the world combined), then electric vehicles and wind turbines are WONDERFUL. Sorry if reality is inconvenient, but with current tech, electric is worse for Terra than domestically-produced gasoline vehicles.

Consumers certainly by large are such saps for believing all the nonsense the markets brainwash them with, about energy sources and costs. Meanwhile, clear evidence that the weather has been manipulated and generated internationally is before our very eyes every day, besides 150 US patents for weather modification technology since WWII. If it was so easy to find this information, how come so few know about it? Because so few took the red pill. You don't go looking for what you don't believe exists.

Impressive bike for a full electric. Huge fan of the gsxs bikes to as my main ride is the gsxs-1000 and a blast. Fast bikes!

In Spain GSX-S 750 is about 8.500€ (9500$ aprox) and Zero SR/F (with premium package 6KW) is 26.685€ (30.000$ aprox)
That's why that bike has no chance in my country (and just 250 kms / 150 miles of autonomy)

Great video--answers the big question of are they (electric bikes) really that much faster. I confess I'm happy to see that "old school" gsx 750 match the zero pretty much from start or 40 mph roll on. The dove of course was the highlight though :)

If you really want an electric motorcycle, with a multi-speed transmission. You can get an Empulse TT, and modify it for more power, or, you can get one of your favorite old models of gas bikes, that isn't working, and cut up the crankcase, so you can replace the piston & crankshaft assembly, with one or more electric motors. And weld or blot the transmission portion closed, so it can still hold oil. Then just go along with Benjamin Nelson's playlist here, on how to build an Electric Motorcycle.
No need for a transmission. They figured that out early on.

8:23 I don't know about Zeros, but on enduro ebikes you can have a separate thumb throttle/twist throttle connected to the electric speed controller to control regen.
Wish you were able to get your hands on a newer GSX-S750, I’ve got the ‘18 if you’re ever interested in trying the newer one.

14:09 you accelerate from 40mph, but the gas bike should not be at 5000rpm, it should be doing much higher rpm, because e-bikes always have the max torque. So the suzy should shift down 2 or 3 gears to make a fair comparison. This video compares the speed, but remember the zero is much more expensive and not an option for long distance trips.
You know there has to be some guy with trained doves nearby, and he taught them to mess with moto riders’ heads. Look out of his CZcams video, since he was probably lurking in the bushes laughing silently...like the Zero
