Nuclear waste is the biggest problem, that's true, since we don't have a permanent final solution for it. But I'd rather have that problem and real with it later instead of having to rely on coal and gas power and having an inhabitable planet in 50 years.
Being able to fully use wind and solar energy is good and I hope we can have that asap, but right now? Nuclear surely is the better option. Otherwise you wouldn't have nuclear waste but you also wouldn't have a planet to live on anymore. Pick your poison.
Cost of clean up of a nuclear desaster? Mate, were talking normal operation here. I mean, what would be the cost if a large number of batteries suddenly exploded? Damn big, that's right. Yes, nuclear desaster a shouldn't happen but you know, as it's always with accidents, they are unplanned and shouldn't be considered. And even if they are considered, the pros far outweigh the cons of nuclear power.
On a final note, don't accuse me of blindly following some propaganda. I like to make my own picture and stand behind my choices. I mean, I don't accuse you of shilling for the wind+power industry, do I?

As an EV owner of many years let me say that range anxiety isn’t a thing. The vast majority of drives are so far below my range I honestly don’t think about it. On those not infrequent occasions where work or my personal life takes me on a longer journey yeah, I’ll charge (at home) to 100% (I normally only charge to 72%) and have to spend a few minutes considering my route to account for charging needs, which isn’t a big deal. I get that motorcycles are about the freedom to ride, but really how many rides are completely unplanned? One of the great things I’ve seen over the last few years is the number of cool places that have figured out EV chargers bring business... crazy weird fun places like petting zoos (seriously I thought it was just a charger and diner but *bewm,* petting zoo!!), reptile farms, museums etc. So not only are there *_way_* more chargers, they bring you to fun places :) Oh, and btw, that listed charging time can be cut in half... it takes just as long to charge an EV battery pack from 0-80% as it does from 80-100% regardless of the speed of the charger or battery chemistry so you only charge to 80% unless needs must (which they really never do). Besides, it isn’t as if we’ve never seen a car or motorcycle sitting on the side of the road because they ran out of gas... it’s not the end of the world.

Motorcycles and cars are used differently. I wouldn't really mind an electric car because it would be primarily used to get to work and home. For me and many other riders a long Saturday ride can be 2 fill ups and planing a route based on electric charging stations isnt something I want to do. I like to get lost and discover new roads outside the city. So I don't like the idea of an electric motorcycle just yet. We'll see what the next few years bring.

As an EV owner I can tell you range anxiety absolutely can be a thing. My commute is between 30-55 miles depending on where I'm working.
Most of the time, my commute is my commute, and I'm not really worried about it. I know my car can make it to work and back, I know my zero can make it to work and back.
But occasionally I have to go out of my way and do a couple more errands. I've made it home on my Zero with 1% battery. It's not fun, it's really anxiety inducing, and it's a real thing. If I didn't have the power tank the range on the Zero wouldn't be adequate for me.

YOU NEED TO TEST RIDE ONE! I’m 64yrs old, peddled a ‘85 VMax for 20yrs, & a ‘05 Triumph Speed Triple for the past 14yrs. Dead quiet, no vibrations allows you to enjoy riding even more. Zero dealers have all 4 models available to road test. I took the SR/F out for a 15 min ride, & didn’t want to return it. 60-100mph was quick but I’ve been on faster bikes. But from a dead stop it’ll out accelerate practically any IC engined bike, once they need to start shifting & falling behind you. Showa suspension, the brakes are J.Juan which is part of it’s all Bosch operating system, & performed excellently, great feel/power, rear brake was typical of all bikes, nothing great. Engine braking s mild, engine heat/noise is nonexistent, which in FL is a major summertime riding drawback.. It’ll top out at 125mph, but I need a bike capable of 150 to feel fully satisfied. The future of motorcycling is gonna spoil us,,,it’s about time👍.
