If you're going to do Number 4 and clip it to the safety chain from your trailer be sure the carabiner has the same load rating (or greater) as the chain. That safety chain is on there in case the trailer comes off of the ball (which does sometimes happen) and the chain is designed to keep it close to the tow vehicle and also keep it from going into traffic. If you use a wimpy carabiner it will just pull loose and send your trailer into oncoming traffic or down the side of a canyon.
Very good info, thanks
thay made for climers not trailers or box trucks
yeah the one in the vid is all bad
Bargain Boondocker p
I have a bad back and use a walking staff, I added a large carabinier lashed a little higher than half way and use it to help me get out of chairs. There is a smaller carabinier attached to that one with cord so I can secure it to the fence when watching the gbrats ball games...really liked the fishing pile idea!
+Doc Ink Those are some awesome ideas
Your tips with PVC have always been great, and now here you are with these carabiner clips! I especially LOVE the shopping bag idea(s). Now those particular hassles are in the past...well, just as soon as I get the clips! THANK YOU!
I smiled all the way through this 😂 thank you
some of them I new. still good to share but some I didn't no. I'm into making my own stuff to help like that. so you just blessed me with at least 5 new wat to help me being I'm disabled I need the extra help from something so god bless you sir. have a good weekend.
+heath schwab So glad we could help, thank you for sharing
I about died laughing with his coupon book idea 😆 ❤️
I would think #3 is safe in most cases, but I can imagine a giant fish pulling someone off a dock if they were not paying attention while connected to their fishing rod.
I loved your role in ‘It Takes Two’ Mr. Buttkiss
All a man needs in life are carabiners and duct tape. Then, anything is possible.
A lighter too, Cut Bind and Burn are the glue to human invention
Compass and flashlight?
Be careful with #4, the safety chains are there as a last resort if the hitch comes undone. It's supposed to allow the trailer to drop to the ground and allow the driver to pull over - mitigating the danger to other drivers. If you use a carabiner which is not as strong as the chain, that safety is eliminated, and you could end up with a runaway trailer. The carabiner is an excellent way to store the chains, and is a good backup for the S-hook that's probably already on the chain. The idea would be to keep the chain from accidentally disengaging, not prevent a runaway trailer.
+Possum Thank you for this informative information.
#3: good idea, plus you can wrap the rope around a wrist and attach the end with a carabiner, so it's like a wrist strap.
love carabiners
RE: the tip at the 4:30-5 mark, once the clip is removed, clip the carabiner to your belt loop.
Also, because I've locked myself out of my vehicle on more than one occasion, I put a spare key on a ring, and carabine it to my belt loop...very handy!
+Pam DeLong Thanks for the tip

You could also "flag fold"🇺🇸 the bags
The handles goes where the stars are..and you gold teice, before triangle folding
It saves lots of room and you could easily put into pockets or purses
Now you probably don't carry a purse, but I do. I use a carabiner to keep track of my keys. I hated digging through my purse to find my keys so I clipped them on a carabiner and clip it to the ring on my purse that the shoulder strap attaches too then zip them in my purse. They are still out of sight but still right there when I need them. It's also a safety feature so women can get into their cars or homes quickly and not be standing somewhere looking into their purse digging for their keys and not observing their surroundings.
Yes, that's a top tip. I do that too, and I use a carabiner to attach to a retractable tether which is carabinered onto a zip, i.e. a fixture, inside my bag. I use lockable carabiners (the Nite-Ize microlock; Nite-Ize also does a slide-lock in a larger size).
Great hacks. I have a set of roadeavour carabiners. Thanks for the ideas.
I use number 5 all the time, Tysm
#9 and #10 - great, thanks, I'm going to do those.
This is like a whole new religion....centred on Carabiners.
I'm taking a trip to the Carabiners.
I love carabiners and carry at least one big one on each of my bags, but for doubble zipper pulls i prefer SmartKey's S-biner microlocks. They are small and easy to clip on.
ALL CLEVER IDEAS ! THX
No to carabiner on trailer chain. Chain is a safety device to keep trailer under control in case of accident or unhook from trailer ball. Haven't seen one that could handle the load.
3:40 omg while I'm laughing at how funny those others were. This Is what I need to do. I need a way to hang some inflatables from a line, pipe, or rope or something. I can attach one end to the line and rhe other to the handle on the inflatable. Wish me luck. I rent them out and it's too much work to inflate and deflate them during the summer
#4 is good if you want to make the 6 pm news for causing an auto accident with the trailer that got loose.
Great ideas thank you

For number 4, every carabiners have different level of power to lift or pull load.
Time to buy some karabiners
............and carabiner sales just went through the roof........;) Jen
LOL, if I could only buy it on the stock market :)
Love your videos
+J Lynn thanks
#10: or, open the bags in the cart, put the groceries into the open bags, and check out by placing the bags full of stuff in front of the cashier.
Cool . As they say kiss. Keep it simple stupid. Nice ideas. Just got good one from the gate of dog fence. I can use that to keep gate temporarily closed when at a client and not wanting uneccesary opening from outside. Well at least im gona hear someone is at gate then i can open for them. Rather that than my tools being stolen from bakkie while working on clients car. And now my brain is in caribiner mode.
I love it! and no. 4 pls? just kidding😁😹
good ideas

The "hint" about using a carabiner to "organize" coupons. Is not the most efficient way to organize coupons. There are already a plethora of coupon caddies that do a MUCH better job of organizing ones coupons. And they are LESS expensive than using a carabiner.
👍👍😁✔💯
something is not right...
I moved on after the coupon one. Stop before you run out of unique options. 😢
Can we sue you when those spring clips, not carabiners, you suggested using on the trailer safety chains fail and the trailer flies down the highway on its own? The safety chains are rated for 5000 lbs or more. The spring clips are rated for 1000 lbs or less. This is a very unsafe suggestion and it will greatly compromise the integrity of your safety chains, reducing their weight/strength capacity by 80% or more. Very bad idea.
+Arthur Ott Thank you. I get these ideas from a bunch of places, and I did not even think about that.
