Even if you are right there, the dog can be greatly injured from falling off and it could be difficult to free him with the leash under tension. don't tie dogs up from any kind of elevation.

I would def recommend a rated biner for dogs or heavy use if the device is going to be pulled hard on like big huskies or others, but nonetheless pretty cool ideas. Those cheap ones snap real easy. Love the water one for climbing multi-pitch climbs.
Just an idea on number one. split the carabiner like you"re putting keys on it and work it around the ledge on the neck so you can drink out of it and not worry about losing the bottle or carabiner and you aren"t reliant on the caps threads keeping the ring on
Use a large Carabineer to carry grocery bags. Just hook the plastic bag's handles into the Carabineer, then you only have to worry about one handle instead of many. Especially if you have to set the bags down to get keys out of your pocket. It also makes it easy if you have to climb steps.

I do the keys on a carabiner thing and attach it to a hook in my purse. It saves me from going crazy looking for them at the bottom of the pit. which my purse it! Plus, you can get them for $! at the dollar store!
I've always done the key on my belt loop with a c clip I got my friends to do the same. It'd great if u leave ur key in ur car just attach a shoe lace to ur key and clip it on a belt loop bam you can't forget it.
