That black disabled gentleman has more smarts and manners than most without disability!!!!
I was just thinking the same. The best interview for me so far comes from this guy. Not so disabled!
@@dantheman11121lmao pay back what? Might wanna ask those illegal immigrants first 😉
@@dantheman11121 he's like
@danielmceachin9301 - if he has a passport he can travel and reside anywhere, it’s really no different if he stayed in America with the same check. The only difference is he would be living in the streets in America vs finding a place to live. I guess you would feel better seeing him on the streets begging!! Some people get off on that and it’s sad and unfortunate!!
@@dantheman11121 as a spiritual person I think he is improving over there and that’s what I think you hear be happy for him you can’t be the American he’s talking about
He’s got a great attitude, respectful and polite but also Street smart. Seems like a good guy. I wish him all the best.
As a veteran getting ready to come to the Philippines 🇵🇭 this young man is a blessing amen
My veteran brother I hope you enjoy your time there and maybe make it your second home as I did if you do decide to make it your home check in with the VA in Manila just in case if you need services when your there you can get them my wife and I plan on retiring there in 3 yrs hopefully we’ll be blessed my friend
You have to visit Cebu a love place.
I'm sure you'll gonna love it.. that's why they have that motto "it's more fun in the Philippines"..
It means you are all homeless or bottom feeders of America ending up in the PH and you are even proud of it.
Because you can't survive living in America after leaving the military. Most of you were recruited from gangs.
I worked with this gentleman when he was in the States. He is an awesome guy and our system failed him. I am glad he chose the Philippines because it was one of the best places for cost of living(depending on how you live) and the culture and people are awesome. I am married to a Filipina and we plan on retiring in the Philippines. It's good to see him living a good life as he pleases.
That's awesome! Thanks for sharing 🥳
based on his interview he already coped with the culture and healing mentally and physically here in the PH, you can never buy peace of mind. He found his safe place. Simple living, eating healthy, strolling the malls, having some friends and possible family in the future. Bless you bro!
The man with the disability was a straight up genuine dude. Very respectful. I’m sure the Philippines welcomes you with open arms. Don’t blame you for leaving US. I have a girlfriend who is Filipina and she’s just wonderful. Everything you could ask for in a partner. Hope you stay in the Philippines.
"Adapt, adapt and adapt" ... "Ya must be humble here." 😉
Goes without saying that actually applies to anywhere we are - even our own hometown.
I came on November 1st and still here, I'll be leaving April 1st, I love it here I lost 20lbs without trying, I git off 2 blood pressure medication and 1 cholesterol as well I feel better, but I'll be back before the year end and I'll be buying a oven, so I can bake my food more, and I miss my Mac n cheese and cornbread dressing 😊😅😅 but I met a great woman and I never been happier ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
How often do you have to leave and enter? And the US do you have to return every year?
I’m from the US and in my 5th month here. I can attest that this man is telling the truth. I think he will thrive here and make many friends.
He will. I am a Filipino/ American and i know for sure he will make it
I worry about loosing my SS! What is the US gets pissed cause sa many are leaving and taking those dollars else where? What so you take on that!
I am a single and small woman, retired. I live in fear and the money stress is gonna kill me!
@@enough1494, fortunately that’s not SSA’s attitude towards that. We work all our lives. At our twilight, they want us to enjoy the fruits of our labor. Travel the world as much as your lifestyle can support.
Make many friends here? Have you forgotten during the COVID-19 pandemic, Americans especially negroes were attacking Filipinos and other Asians on American streets?
I just came back from a business trip from the Philippines. I'm both US and Philippine citizen. This guy is just SPITTING FACTS 🔥🔥🔥
How are you dual citizen when it's forbidden in the Philippines? If I want the PH Passport, I have to give away my passport from my country.🙄🙄

"America just wants you to see what they want you to see." I and my family left America over 15 years ago to move to the Philippines. When I tell fellow Filipinos about the craziness happening in America, some of which were mentioned by the interviewee, they don't believe me. We'd like to visit San Francisco, CA, to show our kids where my husband and I first met and show them our old stomping grounds - downtown, Union Square, Ocean Beach, etc. But we'll have to put that plan on hold for now, as it's not as safe as it used to be. And we'll have to access the poop emoji map.
Moving to the Philippines is one of the best decisions we've ever made. Life here is less stressful, you appreciate what you have and do not think about the things others have that you don't or have less of, Filipinos are nice, and the produce tastes better.
Fr San Francisco is a mess now and crazy expensive
He is very Honest, I am Filipino, I live here in Los Angeles California, each country have their own culture, you have to adopt to culture wherever you are, Open to your own experiences
I cant blame him for not being proud of his country, his honesty makes him more interesting, I hope, he can get a good life where he wants to live. And good vlogging bro. Thanks for seeing good things in the Philippines. 🇺🇲♥️🇵🇭👏😊
he actually made a wrong decision since he moved to a third world country
@@Jonases_20 He was homeless. I was willingly homeless while working to save money to travel to two countries in the last few years. When you are living like we have you are harder. I lived in Tennessee in a storage unit during the winter and the summer and the winter again. No insulation. I unscrewed the light in the building and had electricity had a microwave had a way to shave and clean up. Add heated blankets in winter. I'm not saying he can make it I'm not saying I could long-term but I think people like me and him that have had a harder time can live without air conditioning sometimes running water. If anybody can make it we are the types that can make it
Filipinos are proud of a country that gives them nothing while Americans are not proud of a country that affords them beyond basic needs. Philippines governments.. keep doing what you do
iIts a developing country. I’m proud having mix filipino blood. I’m very proud of my country Philippines. ❤❤❤
Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts.
What genuine humble man. I really value his take on things. He seems very sincere.
He is recognizing and dealing with the reality of the Philippines. Kudos for him.
as a 21 yr old that wants to travel this guy is an inspiration Literally had nothing and went to the Philippines much luck to him
You can’t live here unless you’re 50 or up. You must have a pension or social security. Your tourist visa is costly and monthly. Give it thirty years and check back.
Just save a bit of cash mate and go for a few months, you don't need to be over 50. I would suggest going to Cebu, it's got everything and some nice resorts out of the city and it won't break the bank
If money is not an issue at 21; enjoy the travels while young and single. Life only gets complicated once married with children. The only time you will see Freedom again, is when kids are on their own; I'm 45 retired with a military pension/ passive income rentals; living in the Philippines; but still have responsibilities with my young ones. 😀😅😊
@@stevestead2000 I've already have friends in the Philippines So I can go visit them Waiting 30 yrs is Nonsense

I like how he describes the life between living in America and the Philippines..I love his honesty. Bless his heart ❤️
Rarely click on these kinds of videos. A lot tend to be clickbaity. Some also come a bit condescending. But I feel this guy is both very smart and genuinely a good person.
This is by far my favorite interview you have done with an expat.. This man was just bringing the facts to this video… You did an amazing job allowing him to just go on and a bit at a time helping him along.. Keep doing these great interviews and I’ll keep watching 😊
Thank you and i'm happy to enjoy the video

I can see that he is a good guy, I am wishing him love, success and happiness in the Philippines🙏
Great interview. The more i listen to this guy the more down to earth and intelligent he is. Best of luck for you
This interview was fantastic. Having been stationed at Clark Air Base, Philippines 🇵🇭 back in the day (1991). I always dreamed of returning and retire there. This gentleman motivated me to return to the dream. I😂 love and appreciate AMERICA 🇺🇸 as the most blessed country on earth 🌎. I am age 61 now. Most places in America 🇺🇸 are to expensive now. Estimates about (80) percent. It seems like you can do better by living in the Philippines 🇵🇭. My plan is to retire under the American Military Philippines sponsored SRRV program. Thank you for this video.
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!
Clark is a good place to retire esp.for former US soldiers stationed there. There are big malls like SM Clark, and tall buildings in Clark Angeles part. But most part of Clark is still green with wide roads left by the US. The red light district is still in Angeles but not as big as before. Many of the army buildings are now restaurants, offices and warehouses. You'll see Wendy's, McDonad's, Burger King, Jollibee, Japanese Restaurants, hotels, theme parks, casinos, condos, international airport, grocery stores, taxi and jeepneys etc. So it's a metropolis free port zone now with a lot of parks, big trees and green areas. I worked there from 2022-2023.
@David Darden, I’m looking to tap into the SRRV program as well for veterans. I am actively planning now to get everything prepared for a visit before I make the big leap to relocate.
Make a second interview with him…. Am sure everybody wants to see it. Or encourage him to do❤vlogs too.
I loved this interview. Maybe your best. He covered many topics. I would add to anyone who visits the Philippines to remember we are guests here. Act accordingly. I agree with most everything he said.

Many homeless men who have a pension can go overseas. I can't promise you will live like a king with everything depending on your monthly income. However its better than living on the streets finding your meal in a garbage can. Work on yourself doing homework before making the move. Overseas always keep your expectations realistic and within your budget.
I will never forget the COVID-19 pandemic when Americans where attacking Filipinos on the streets.
How can a USA citizen on government disability get payment when they are not in USA?

I'm looking forward to my move to the Philippines . Glad to hear this mans honesty and observations.
It's really sad but America is becoming a 2 class society. I live in Texas, my wife and I are both retired. Our retirement income is more than our working neighbors. Our mortgage is $1100 on a house now valued at $500k, we paid $180k 17yrs ago, rolled equity from a previous home into it. Our property taxas and insurance is half of our monthly note. Our neighbor is over close to $4k on a similar size home. Last night my wife wanted Chick-fil-A so I go inside. There are grandma's and grandpa's working in the restaurant definitely older than me, I'm thinking how is this OK. I did talk to one as I'm waiting and his story was he worked 30 yrs for a company that paid low wages and offered no benefits so when he was forced out SSI was all he had to live on and it wasn't enough. He also said the money he makes at Chick-fil-A is the most he's ever made in his life.
It’s heartbreaking 💔
This is sad. Even though you're living in a first world country but it seems like your living backwards. Yes, the Philippines is still a developing country but I hope we won't go in that direction🙏 I wish you all the best! 💙
I'm a retired social worker and seniors in the USA are the fastest growing homeless group. 😢

Define 1st world country today. In the USA 1 out 2 Americans live at our below
poverty .
Most have a false sense of wealth. Debt is not wealth. Debt on a home; debt from credit cards and an automobile payment Is not wealth and most Americans are in debt and don't have a positive net worth.
People in the USA are struggling to buy groceries, afford rent and energy and deal with violent crime.
Once again what is the 1st world. In 2024. Thailand is ranked higher in technology and ranked higher in health and safety and food security etc.
This why a lot expats retire and move overseas. We are priced out and go to places with lower cost of living and Ist world amenities.
@@michaelchristophergutierre7244 I totally agree, I can only speak for Texas but our State does a horrible job of caring for the elderly. I live in Guadalupe County, if it doesn't make our Politicians money they really don't care about it. It's also gotten to the point atleast in my State where if a Politician doesn't serve the Party in Power, the Party doesn't serve his District.

Very insightful perspective of the differences between two cultures without being too judgmental. Neither culture is perfect and it has its advantages and disadvantages. It all comes down to which lifestyle fits you best, and if you can handle the quirks and the head shaking moments (as I call them) in the Philippines and they aren't deal breakers this could be a great place for you. Much power to this guy for understanding the culture and adapting to the lifestyle quickly. I think he's found true happiness in the Philippines.

When you have astma you need to live near the sea not up in the mountain.
True. My grandmother had asthma and moved here in Baguio in the 70s as per her doctor's advice. My dad loved it here and never left, hence, I was born and raised here even though my roots are from the South of Luzon and South of the Philippines. 😁
My husband has asthma and he's from La Union. Every time he goes back to LU, his asthma would be so much worse and once he comes home, he'd feel so much better.

Thank you for the video and guest. You should have more people like him, I think America is great but all the reasons he stated is why i want to live in the Philippines. I enjoyed this video because he was not biased and just spoke facts and what he said about Filipinos coming here is so true, yes you will make more money in America, but cost is so high you will basically be working for bills. My family and I are immigrants and they are starting to realize this as well and they used to think i was crazy for wanting to leave America when i was younger.
