- You all know that I love Milwaukee Tools. One thing I love even more than their tools is unboxing their new tools. Part of the vetting process is comparing new and old versions of tools and seeing which one is actually worth getting for that job.

It is great to know that I am not alone buying tools as a white color guy but hardly working on anything. I just buy as just in case. Thanks for making me feel not home alone.
Same here. I have quite a few tools that I haven't used even once. Every now and then, though, I get to reach for a "new" tool because nothing else would work.
I love how you just tell it how it is. You just love collecting tools, my grandma collected bingo dotters. We all have our thing
I have the Mid Torque and have ordered the New High torque. To be fair, the Mid Torque holds it's own on most things, so long as you're using it directly. But there are some moments where you'll need to use and extension or a wobble drive. That kills torque and especially for some tight bolts, the high torque comes in handy.
"I literally just organized this yesterday" throws box on the floor 😂
Black insert is a vibration isolator. The last Gen had failures from the vibration.
The black insert where the battery slides in is to stabilize the battery, so no more batteries jiggling/coming loose while you're ugga-dugga'ing away with the impact.
I think the ultimate car setup is the mid-torque with the 3.0HO battery, with the Koken alloy wheel impacts (14201M). That’s what I’ve got.
Insider ratchet is nice because you can get 4 ratchets with extra functionality. It comes with the ¼ and ⅜ anvils , and the ¼ bit adapter. Then the ½ anvil is available for purchase separately. So no more purchasing 3 ratchets.
That’s my thing. I don’t think the pass through function is that meaningful to me but the interchangeable anvils and the compact size is what got me to preorder
@@jaxbrewery
This is my thinking also. I can only remember once, possibly twice I have needed a pass through socket. But like you the adaptability is its selling point. Plus the power is pretty decent.
Milwaukee is king
Milwaukee is garbage
Milwaukee impacts are next level!
The color coded thin walled lug nut set from Matco has been nice for me. It has a carbon fiber sleeve.
Hey man, I recently got the m18 mid torque tool only with free battery. But I totally forgot I’m going to need a charger. If you would like to part ways with the battery charger that came with the new 2967, I’d happily pay for shipping
I don't have any of the extras anymore.
Nice video Matt.
Thanks for the demonstration. This video is kinda important because this particular tool is high usage. I pay more attention when you demonstrate high usage tools. Thank you.
I have the mid torque and gotta say it’s amazing. Right size and power 👍🏻
Totally agree.
I love their impact sockets my only issue with Milwaukee is they make it so difficult to buy them all. Most of the kits don’t have every size they offer and you end up having to buy like 10 more individual sockets to complete the set. I spent countless hours searching to build out a complete set.
Very true. I ended up having to buy individual sockets for the missing sizes. Kinda annoying
I'm not sure what sets y'all bought but I bought the 31 PC set deep SAE and Metric with no skips.
I have seen a couple smaller sets but Milwaukee does offers large sets without skips.
@@randysmith9636 none of the kits that say sae and metric are complete with every socket. .
@@obsessedmobiledetailing
The 31 PC 1/2 deep #49-66-6806
The 36 PC 3/8 deep #49-66-6805
Both of these sets have no skips.
Apparently I'm not understanding what you are saying.
Are you saying EVER socket they make into one set or skips?
@@obsessedmobiledetailing
Both of those set are sae and Metric combined.
The 29 PC 1/2 Metric is not combined, that one does offer every socket made in 1/2 dr Metric. 8mm-36mm #49-66-7015
The 19 pc SAE is 3/8-1 1/2 #49-66-7012
It is two separate sets but they are complete. You wouldn't have to search for missing sockets.
The new High Torque is definitely the way to go over the extended anvil.
I would argue that for some car guys who are into trucks or older vehicles that may have experienced some corrosion, the high torque should be your first purchase...then the mid torque. The mid torque is an amazing tool and is the one I grab first, but I've definitely run into situations where it doesn't have enough punch and I have to step up to my old first gen high torque.
Agreed, you can add an extension but you cant remove the anvil. You can also turn the gun down but the max is the max. I run the high torque all day 7 days a week as a millwright so it goes through more abuse than an average hard user, they take a beating and i havent considered going back to air once. If im not using that, im running the 3/4 but i use 2"-3" sockets pretty often. i run the same two impacts in my shop at home also, otherwise i step down to the m12 stubby. 250ftlbs removes most wheels and suspension components while giving me a cushion before breaking something. The high torque will not stop on a car
@@gregmanzolillo8666the stubby is the goat, depending on the car. Been working on an e46 bmw and I find myself grabbing the M12 ratchet instead.
i have the midtorque and the m12 3/8 stubby in my cabinet. I find the midtorque can do just about anything, including honda crank bolts. The sockets look nice, i like tekton because they have a kit that has 8-38 with no skips, i wish other manufacturers would follow that lead and do more complete kits.
I just purchased the high torque gen 2 and got a free 5 amp battery. Very happy with my purchase but these are nice wrenches. Great video.
Where? I haven’t seen anyone offering a bogo with the 2967-20
NICE GARAGE mine is such a Mess that i do most 99% of my tool testing and Head to Head outside
The new insider can be use in both directions, it's why it has light on both sides. Some may have the need to have the trigger facing up and other's down. It's in my line up to be picked up.
I use the high torq on power level 3 for damn near everything. I have mastered the tool. I realy ever need any torq wrench.
The black thing on the battery is for the connection. Because of vibration
The black plastic on the bottom of the new high torque is for vibration
I need that short nose...would work great for the 18mm caliper studs that my current impact will not fit in behind to get!
Pin detent is also weaker than the hog ring anvil. I’m adding those two impacts to my other m12/18 impacts, good choices.
I've had Schwaben protector sockets for close to 15 years now and holding up strong. Granted waiver between 3/4 cars but always swapping summer/winters/etc.
Edit: and you lost the tire lottery! Bummer I guess you'll just have to rip the mountains some more.
The black sleeve on the new high torque is the new battery isolator
What's the forward balance like on the 2967. I like the midrange also... but with HO batteries... the extent forward and throw off the balance. Did u find the same with 2967... as it too looks to move battery forward with new shock absorber... but the motor looks like it's moved back to counter this. Let us know. thx.
you called yourself white collar, but idc if you work a white collar job you still work on your own stuff and that gains my respect!
I'm glad I waited on the extended reach high speed ratchets, the Insider version will be making the cut for sure. Not quite as fast as the high speed, but close enough with slightly higher torque.
Are you going to sell your old MTM foam cannons with QDs? I'm always looking for a deal.
Did you check out the Hazet sockets with the plastic protector? They sell replacement sleeves for them so you don't have to chuck the entire socket.
The Milwaukee impact sockets look great and I'll probably pick up a set, but I really like my Gray Pneumatic Duo impact sockets (1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" drive). They are impact rated sockets, but dimensionally are very close to chrome sockets (most impact sockets are substantially thicker). They are made in Taiwan and are nothing fancy, but its great to have impact rated sockets all the way down to 1/4" drive for my small impacts. My 3/8" and 1/2" sets have taken a lot of abuse and I haven't broken one yet.
I'm going to be selling my old foam cannons.
Send an email to Tim at tim@obsessedgarage.com and he can give you all the information on those.
Black piece is for vibration. It’s so it can be replaced instead of the whole unit if it gets damaged.
MORE TOOLZ PLS THANK YOU
Have you seen their new lug nut specific imact rated sockets? Protective sleeve around them.
Koken extended lugnut sockets are the best
Good stuff Matt. When will the pass through ratchet be available at OG? I’m in.
Not sure yet.
The new Milwaukee high torque is so compact. Still I prefer something smaller so I got DCF891 as dewalt is way more popular here, got also DCF961 just in case 😂
That high torque has the weird battery acceptor to alleviate the shaking when taking bolts on and off if that wasn’t there the battery would shake off the tool
Milwaukee tool with a Dewalt XR battery is the best setup…imho ( if your using the Milwaukee everyday at work the batteries have issues ) I think appearance is very important, Milwaukee kills it , always coming out with new cool stuff.. if you grab your normal tools you just use them. If you grab the Milwaukee sockets etc. that you were using everytime you grab them your thinking these look great, they’re awesome etc. it’s validating your purchase everytime you use them. ( which subconsciously is going make you believe buying Milwaukee is a good purchase, in turn increasing they’re sales . Super smart on their end ) I love Milwaukee stuff.
The forge batteries will definitely be better
You're and their. Sorry.
“Hi, I’m rich, look at all my stuff that I don’t know how to use” 😢
Rich doesn’t happen on accident.
You need to get you some 6.0 Forge batteries, they’re legit. 12.0 output with 6.0 size.
Should remove and install lug nuts on setting 4. Try it and see why.
Reminds me of the makita ratchet. It’s a little different though.
Milwaukee has plastic-sleeved impacts for wheels. I like them much more than my Sonic versions.
They also have a new "non marring" set which have a sleeve on the inside too, so that they don't scratch your wheel nuts
@@KiranPatel-fk1pg haven’t seen those, I’ll have to take a look. Thanks!
12:05 it's probably to damping the sock going into the Battery
Next car you give the OG overhaul, fly me out to OG headquarters and I’ll assist for free 😊😂
You can buy the bare tools so you don’t have to deal with the case and chargers
Really? 😂
Dont throw that stuff away, give it to your patrons and viewers!
👍🏼
Keep the new high toque and mid torque and sell the extended anvil
Does anybody know what the black compression is for on the Milwaukee?
Just protection.
It's a protective covering so you're not banging the tool around on whatever you're working with.
You also need to lose that extension bar if possible.
The black thing is for vibration
That's what she said!
Any discount codes👀
I’ll always be a snap on guy!!
Are you bragging or complaining?
If that works for you.
I think the wera impact sockets look better than these. White letter, and color coded lines for each size.
surprise they didn't ship a m18 forge battery. the claim they made is the forge 6.0 is equivalent to the 12.0
Torque test channel has confirmed that claim.
It will be an option in the future, forge isn’t quite available yet.
M18 Forge batteries are on the same level as the 12.0. They will be doing an updated version with the newer batteries.
3/8 or 1/2 on that mid torque?
It's a 1/2" drive.
Ordered! Thanks!
Yo let me get an m18 charger or two ....

Give all the stuff away you don’t need to your subscribers. Don’t throw that stuff out it’s useful. But great video.
Nice little shop you got there. Like your tool selection 👍
I recently purchased a 2967 😳 Torquey little impactor it is. Ya, 1500 ft lbs is a bit overkill for removing Lug Nuts 😃 I was wondering if you wanted to part ways with that Drill Case that came with your 2967? I would be willing to pay for it, not much mind you, because my money went to the Force Battery almost $300 Canadian Bucks 😬 I also bought the Boot to go with. Nice to see you have your tools Booted.
Hey send you extra slow chargers to me ill pay the shipping + a little extra
