    Wish you would have started with a jsw with the PANO roof and push button start. Make for the ultimate diesel wagon.

      You're right, that would have been nice! I used have a JSW with those options so i definitely see where you're coming from

    You need to do MIB2 radio with amplifier retrofit next that one is great or color 3D cluster

      Thanks for the recommendation. Are you referring to an aftermarket color DIS? Or replace the cluster entirely? Let me know.

      @@eurospekgarage1833 OEM from a Tiguan Eurospec. I would recommend a Passat or GLI on but they don't have support for 4motion as I have a GLI one and it doesnt work with my second fuel level sensor

    I did this retrofit in my jetta sportwagen too and I wouldn't wish that work on anyone haha. I saw the climate control you first bought and immediately knew it was going to not work but couldn't say anything 😮‍💨

    To much work , it took me 9hrs to retrofit dual climate and heated seats to my mk6 golf the results are amazing but definitely I’m not doing it again 😅

    any mods to harness? what new parts did you need

    • @eurospekgarage1833
      @eurospekgarage1833  Před rokem

      The dual zone HVAC unit has its own harness that does not need to be modified. The only modification needed is to re-pin the climate control connector that is not a part of the HVAC harness (comes from car).
      Beyond that, I sourced some air vent temperature sensors and a sunlight photo sensor and wired them up per wiring diagram. Make sure if you do this that the harness on the HVAC is complete and has all motors and sensors already

      @@griggs07 If you watch the video right around the 13:17 mark I show my wiring diagram and explain which pins go where and what wires go where. The only thing i needed to do in VCDS was to do a flap end stop calibration in basic settings.

    Do you have any idea what it would take to do the retrofit on a 13 Passat? Assuming it’s pretty similar. The car currently has the single zone manual control, and all I care about is the auto, not the dual zone but I’m assuming I can’t make one work without the other.

    • @eurospekgarage1833
      @eurospekgarage1833  Před rokem +1

      It should be the same on the Passat. If you’re in the US, I don’t know any VWs that had single zone auto, so your best bet would be dual zone

  • @Marlon_39
    @Marlon_39 Před rokem +1

    Was there any difference in the flaps? I change out my mk6 2.5 Jetta controls to the one you took out and changed a few servos and a gear wheel. Everything works well and looks way better.

    • @eurospekgarage1833
      @eurospekgarage1833  Před rokem +1

      To be honest I probably could have swapped all the servos and the HVAC wiring harness and achieved the same result. The only thing I really had to do was to replace the parking heater that required some cutting. Everything else was swappable

      @@eurospekgarage1833 I added the servo for the direction and temp flaps, I have trouble wiring up the temp servo as the car my wires came from had the servo power wires. Would you happen to know where the other 3 wires go for that servo?

    • @eurospekgarage1833
      @eurospekgarage1833  Před rokem

      @@Marlon_39 I'm not sure as I swapped the entire HVAC with wiring and did not have to go down that route. If you have wiring diagrams for your car that should tell you!
