- čas přidán 12. 08. 2024
- Learn about the anatomy of bones and joints and apply this understanding into yoga anatomy as a teacher or a student. In this lesson, you'll learn about the purpose, structure, and function of our bones and joints, and be inspired with a deeper appreciation of how unique and special each person's structure is!
This lecture is an excerpt from Rachel teaching anatomy in a 200 hour yoga teacher training course. What you learn will expand your understanding of anatomy, your own embodiment, and your yoga practice.

Another great presentation Rachel via video!!! I am a retired RN and was an educator - you are a great teacher!!! Have watched several of your videos.
🥰🙏🏻glad to have you here Vicki!
I am really in love with your sense of humour! It's so nice to see a dynamic class where the teacher is so charismatic!
🤗good to connect with you here, Ramon ! 😁
I’m an RN and am 200hr certified. I came across your video looking to refresh my knowledge on yoga anatomy. You explain the material so well and add humor. I love it! I know what videos on yoga anatomy I will be binging on🙏🏾 Thank you
Yay! I’m so glad they are helpful! And I take that as very high praise from a nurse!
I love your videos so much, I’m recommending them to all my artist friends who are trying to learn anatomy.

Thanks Rachel! Great lesson. It reminds me how much I loved doing teacher training courses. Hug!
This is the most fun, logical, practical lecture about the skeletal system that I have seen. Better than other videos talking about osteoporosis and bone health!

Waiting for your next video lecture. 🙏👍👍🙏
YAY! Glad you enjoy - will put another out next week ;)
Do you offer distant yoga teacher training in our current COVID situation by any chance? I’m already certified but I’m a learning junkie and would like to take another course, especially one that focuses more on anatomy in yoga. Thank you
Hi Tami! I love a good learning junkie!!! I'm a member of this club, too ;) I offer a lot of courses via the DoYogaWithMe TT site - courses.doyogawithme.com - you can take all my anatomy courses a la carte for CE credit. I offer a bunch of yoga anatomy courses you may like. Even though it's part of a 200 hour, I find most 200-hour TT's don't quite get as far into anatomy as I personally like ;) There are also cueing modules in there -Cueing 1, 2 and Principles of Teaching 2, that are really deep dives into how to teach. I'm teaching an online sequencing mentorship starting this Sunday (so excited) - you can find out about that here: rachel-scott.thinkific.com/courses/sequencing-mentorship. Hit me up if you have questions, always happy to chat!
ANDDDD you may want to check out www.gilhedley.com - tons of deep anatomy resources for free for anatomy geeks...:)
Phalangiesssss :D
😂😂😂
I can twist my thumb quiet a bit, should I be concerned
If it doesn't hurt, it's likely not a problem ~ all bodies and joints are different!
