This was a heck of a lot more than 75,000 customers. It definitely was a cyber attack. As my service carrier uses AT&T lines, my service died right at 4 AM.
20 people deep at the store with carts full of toilet paper. Service restored and the line to the return counter was out the door.
😁 Now I'm more interested why thousands of costumers called in Verizon and TMobile outages when those companies said nothing was wrong with their services ?
Companies are lying....
It was ppl calling to att customers that thought it was their network.
T-Mobile? Lol
They all lie. I had an outage not just at at&t but also another ISP that gives me my home internet and whenever there's an outage they would tell me there is none. That way they can send out a tech and charge me $100 to have a guy look around and go uhhh.... welll I tried everything I can do. You should replace your equipment it's old. then run out the door to their work van and drive back for me to call them again and they would send out another tech that is level 2. to charge another $100 and then a tech level 3 which they tell me are network engineers. I would then in-between my appointments see homes down my street that have the same company have techs come out too. So, if 10 homes in the same area calls in at least 10 times that's just $1,000 in just service call fees. Also if each of us call 3 different times it would be 3k and that just my area. They lie so they can charge you for your service call. If they said there's an outage they cannot legally charge you for service calls.
Well, it could be because of they may be roaming or in a select few instances it may be a fault in protocol they call peering this technology or protocol is responsible for handing off traffic to other networks
That's stupid calling 911 to see if your phone is working. Stupid is a stupid does.
OMG someone stumbled over the cord
I'm not even an AT&T customer but I'm going to sue them!
People are dumb, lets call 911 to see if my phone works
911 call works even if you don't have signal and even if you don't have sim
@@liberty2four2 There is truth to what you said, but in this case, all service was down - including 911. Even in normal circumstances, if you're in an area without any cellular coverage and your cell phone doesn't have Wifi calling (and/or it isn't connected to a wifi hotspot) or emergency satellite communications (like what newer iPhones have), 911 won't work.
Survivalists be like : Yess ! Years of training for this !!!
Mobile services companies : lol
Could this be a trial ballon for some future emp attack? How long can you go without electricity?
Since my house has solar, as long as the sun shines every day...
@@rosameryrojas-delcerro1059 An EMP would also destroy the electronics that run that solar.
I tried putting a quarter in my phone, but I couldn't figure it out.
They always charge you extra for going over your plan limits but they never give you a refund for the time their system doesn't work.
Blame yourself for signing a service contract that covers down time.
I'm south of Dallas and my phone was out for almost 12 hours. T-Mobile and Verizon did not have any outages in my area.
Yes they did 1-2 days ago just a smaller amount
When the grid goes down it will b the last time we hear from or c our loved ones.
This crazy irresponsible.
Conspiracy.
Thank you for restoring this and I appreciate the deduction on my bill considering I was unable to use it😂
Hah! You’re dreaming aren’t ya…??
74,000 is a really small number. AT&T has millions of subscribers. This is about 0.0005% of their customers.
@emmgeevideo 74,000 is the total number of people who reported their cellular service was out. My service also went out and I didn't report it, and I'm sure it was the same for most other affected users.
@@chimebirdplayer3327 Shooda figured out some other way to quantify it and ditch the 74K.
Can you hear me now 😆
Your lips move but I can't hear what you say.

The U.S. should scholarship computer programmers, and software + computer hardware engineers to prep an "army" of anti-hackers going forward!
Also, our Emergency Preparedness plans should add minimum distances between public access hard - line phones (under & above ground easily repaired wiring) that can be run "off line" if needed.
At&T will never disclose what truly took their service down. That would be commiting suicide to reveal a vulnerability in their infrastructure. At best they will blame it on everything other than what the real cause was.
if you're old enough to remember, back when Verizon was launching their 4g lte network, they went through the same thing, outages nation wide for several hours. So why is this a much more talked about story? Because more and more people have become solely dependent on these stupid devices rather than face to face interactions.
For me, I enjoyed the silence. It was refreshing not to hear a chime, or a ding, or a chirp all day while working.
I was out around 10am. I thought my phone bill was shut off.
Yea, back to having 1 bar of service and occasional no service, but having no service for a couple of hours straight here in Missouri, does happen once a year. AT&T doesn't like to fix their towers, even after the hailstorm we had in April last year.
Also, did anyone ever get an "IPAWS required weekly test" on November 9th at 11am here in Missouri?
Thank goodness this outage only lasted about 6 hours... thousands of OF models were already trying to verbally describe themselves over a HAM radio.
Nashville Tennessee and Antioch TN Some has Service Network Outage
Why don’t people know about wifi calling. This is unbelivable
Yeah but internet didn’t work either.
I’m in New York. Maybe I got lucky because I didn’t experience this to my knowledge. What time did you this happen?
its believed caused by a human error and is belived to be caused by the application and execution of a incorrect process while expanding the network
Yeah, dont forget that at&t has government contracts. Most recently with the national guard country wide.

They still want there money
I’m in PhX didn’t have any issues. Oh I see map lol
If you're in PHX, umm you have issues. phone service at the bottom of the list.
@@BlazingShacklesi concur!

Dixie cups and string 🙂
Aaaand you'll always be connected.
Hehe 🤭
😂
Well that actually works. 😂
Att just gets a slapp on the wrist and that's it? No information on how or what's happening. This is shady as hell
Leave the world behind.
Y’all haven’t found out yet😒🤣??? lol we know what it was even if y’all trying to hide it lol
Router failed.
And that's how easy it will be...😂😂😂
I think if it was a system malfunction due to software update, or other tech issue, they would tell us, not Hide the truth.
Phones went out after that X flare from the sun went off.
Not akl.
I tried WhatsApp and it WORKED!
Hacked
It’s aliens lol
I wonder why these carriers??? It stinks of conspiracy, of course😅.
Thanks China
I don't care if you don't like me. I don't care.
This is a opportunity for anyone to hacked this system. We have people here in this COUNTRY that would do something like this. The next time will be the electric system. Because someone just might be promoting solor systems for sales.
☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️
That chick "up-talking" was annoying as h ell.
Vihcetel..foox ..prueostituta.....reuctaurrn.. bvahbacsa😅🎉
I thought we got hit with a solar storm or something like that it caught me off guard but the bill will still be the same am sure no courtesy discount for the down time and inconvenience...
If we got hit by a solar storm you wouldn't have a computer or a phone or a car right now. Everything electronic would be fried. Possibly literally. When a solar storm hit in the 1800s it set the telegraph wires on fire across the US.
