@@random_cuber1920Yeah, I think they are a part of The Animation Guild (though, I would recommend that one does their own research).
They have asked for influencers to avoid promoting works by struck companies since promotion of struck works by union members is not allowed and 'influencers' are actually able to join SAG. It's complicated and I doubt anyone is gonna be blacklisted because they talked about the new phineas and ferb season but if you're a big creator it's not quite as simple as just, they're not calling for a boycott so it's buisness as usual.

So someone talking in social media about a show is fine, even if they have a big following, as long as they aren't getting paid by Disney or something

This strike feels extraordinarily premature, given how they're concerned by being replaced by AI, while AI is barely in its infancy.
In three years this strike might make more sense, but right now? Not really.
By talking about the shows, you're creating more demand for the shows, the ones that were written by actual writers. If there's demand for the shows with actual writers and no demand for the shows written by AI, it puts pressure on the company.

I would have no issue with AI written episodes, as long as they are written with help from humans. AI is super funny and can be quite impressive, but it has bad memory for plot and takes a lot of human direction. It would be very useful for lower budget shows with a low amount of writers and inability to hire guest writers if none of the writers have any specific ideas that day. I do think however that AI can not effectively write episodes alone, and also should only be used when the human writers have writing block.
I'm so glad that Milo finally got some attention from a creator I follow, it's such a good show and it doesn't get nearly as much love as it deserves

Yeah, we need another season of Milo so that the show can get an actual finale. The season 2 finale was not a good conclusion, and it was clearly not intended to be the end of the show.

My sister recons she is the reason for bringing back Phineas and Ferb 😂 She watches it every afternoon after school and she watched it every day during lockdown! She was thrilled to know that it was coming back. She owns all of the merchandise we have been able to get our hands on from fake figurines to a perry Disneyland hat we found off eBay. She also has the infinity figures and so much more. I also made her a perry inaction figure for Christmas. The morning I told her there would be more Phineas and Ferb she flipped out. It was the best possible reaction.

Fun story: as a kid in the UK, the TV channel which had phineas and ferb on it didn’t come with my provider, so… the books from 2009 were my introduction to the show and my only knowledge of it for many years…

I'm hyped for Phineas and Ferb, I loved their Crossover in Milo Murphy's Law. It's so sad that Milo Murphy's Law is stopped, i rlly liked that show even if it wasn't Phineas and Ferb, the show had his own touch and enjoyed every second of it.

@@Purrsephone19 The reason is because he not on strike the WGA is the writers guild and he not apart of that he is in TAG which is the animation guild that cover most of the children animations but not adult animation like Simpsons and family guy and what not who writers are apart of WGA if i read that right

The first season of Hamster & Gretel is actually still ongoing (it hasn't ended this month yet, it just entered another hiatus). While originally greenlit for 20 episodes, an order for an additional 10 episodes was confirmed at Annecy 2022, meaning Season 1 will contain 30 episodes total. 23 have aired so far, so 7 more episodes are slated for the remainder of 2023.
Just wanted to say that Dan the creator of Phineas and Ferb as well as the writing staff are still working even due to the writers strike since they are in animation witch typically isn’t part of the writers guild
Phineas and Ferb has honestly been one of my favorite shows and at the end when I watch the finale. I was upset, but now that Phineas and Ferb are coming back I am excited to see more of Phineas and Ferb.
DENIAL WORKS! I’m looking forward to more Phineas and Ferb. It’s easy to be like “this is a cash grab,” especially considering the company that produces the show. But also, funny pharmacist and platypus show. This is a major comfort show for me, so having more just makes me happy.
Also, I could have misinformation, but I believe the first season for Hamster and Gretel isn’t totally over. From what I heard, it’s 30 episodes for the first season, which we’ve only hit 23, so 7 episodes left, if everything is correct.
since the show ended with the kids in college, i kinda think they will reminisce about their memories as kids, showing us stuff they made that we didn't see yet
That's actually the second to last to last the last one is where they get stuck in a time loop

I just want more songs from the show. I listen to the album like over hundred times a week lol, whoever worked on the songs had no business creating classics
If you want to support the strike, listen to what the guild is asking people to do in support. they WANT you to keep watching. If people stop, companies use that as grounds to say "see, nobody likes your stuff anyway, the second we stopped propping you up the show crashed! You need us, we don't need you!" In this strike, you help them by increasing the demand while they choke the supply. Eventually the company will give in. I appreciate the desire to help, but you always have to look at the people you're supporting and see what they're asking people for. Otherwise your attempt to help might hurt.
And I'd like note that all 5 guilds working to build shows and movies are typically given a COMBINED 0.03% of revenue, or 0.006% each. So each guild gets about $3 for every $50,000 made. Even if they were asking for double, which they are not, it would still not even show up on the fucking graph. And the demands that were rejected as "unreasonable" include things like "consistently taking breaks on long shoots." Because yes, actors are one of those professions that many labor laws have listed as an exception.
Moral of the story: DENIAL WORKED!!

I also have a Phineas and Ferb novel based on the 2nd Dimension movie which I got back in 2011. The story was pretty much exactly the same as the movie, the only difference being the book not having the songs and the Phineas and Isabella kiss at the end.
I still love those novelizations. It's nice to (usually) get a little more insight into the characters and events that I might have missed in the regular version of the movie! Favorites include Clue, Willow, and Stargate.

Suggestion on your concerns with the strike: Maybe cover the issues facing the animation industry (Star Trek: Prodigy getting removed after it's simultaneous cancelation/renewal, animation shows getting removed from HBO Max to be used as "losses", Sony Animation using crunch tactics to finish Spiderverse, etc.) all while animation is the most creative media in the Hollywood landscape right now (not through any fault of the creatives for the most part).
Dan povenmire himself said that phineas and ferb is not wga and is actually a different guiod so the show will still have progress and they still are making season 5

Those Phineas and Ferb novelizations have been around since the original run of the show! I had a few of the episode books and the novel of Across the 2nd Dimension. I was really into Phineas and Ferb and reading a lot so my parents got a bunch of them for me

Another thing is fan made content, there’s people like Kevin Temmer who made a 3D animation of Perry and Doofenshmirtz, there’s this M.W.C.A (Musical Without a Cool Acronym) and yes, on a personal note… I wrote a script! Three scripts as a matter of fact (I wrote a trilogy that’s supposed to be part of a cinematic universe tying this Phineas and Ferb trilogy with Gravity Falls, a reboot of Star Vs The Forces of Evil, and an alternate universe of Amphibia. I have the whole thing basically mapped out but I’m already stretching the length to this comment so I’ll give details and script links in the replies if you want to take a look, I will certainly say this has been a passion project of mine since 2017 of which the first Phineas and Ferb script was also the first script I wrote!)

Animation writers are not part of the wga, it's a separate thing. Also just because there is a strike doesn't mean you have to avoid talking about things, as long as it's not a paid promotion you should be fine. You can support the strike and still talk about the things you love, after all it's the people who are striking that made those things in the first place.

9:40 well it certainly stands out except when it’s in my nightmares then it’s typically running after me.
I'm going to out myself here. By the time I was in the demographic age of Phineas and Ferb, it was near the end of the original show, and I just never really got into it. Around two years ago, my sister (who did grow up watching the show) tried to get me into it, but we only got through the first twelve or so episodes. Aside from that, the only things I've seen from the other shows was a re-uploaded clip of Milo Murphys Law that was Doofinschmirtz (I don't if that's spelled right) explain why he didn't add a part of his time machine to let him choose an exact day, and all I saw from Hamster and Gretal was a CZcams short from Dan Povenmire explaining how an animation mistake led him to adding a whole extra line of dialog explaining what linguistics translator is. The point of this is to say with all the hype around Phineas and Ferb revival I might actually go back and watch the whole show
Dan Povenmire has also said that the Union he and his team are a part of is separate from the WGA and SAG-AFTRA, so they are not on strike
