I choose gooseism...this phenomenon isn't new, wanting so desperately to integrate, that you lose your original identity... "more Irish than the Irish themselves" is coined from it's Latin form in 1803 by Francis Plowden c+p More Irish than the Irish themselves" (Irish: Níos Gaelaí ná na Gaeil féin, Latin: Hiberniores Hibernis ipsis) is a phrase used in Irish historiography to describe a phenomenon of cultural assimilation in late medieval Norman Ireland.

Patel before her is a fascist too. Rishi Sunak seems however to be a "yes man" imo
Let's not also forget that Cruelly and Patel are Ugandan Asians. There's nothing inherently wrong with being Ugandan and Asian but as Nish talks about, there are structural issues at the top of society
The ruling classes in Uganda were often primarily made up of high caste Ugandan Asians, in order to help control the empire.
Those same people absolutely looked down on regular south Asian people

I think that we can contextualise it in terms of the question and where the emphasis is placed. "Don't I think that it's wonderful that these British Asian people are now sat at the apex of our political establishment?" If the emphasis is placed on "British Asian" (as in, any British Asian people at all), you get a very different question than if the emphasis is placed on "these" (as in, these specific people). The first, yeah, that's progress. The second, no, they shouldn't have the power to enact their views on other people because those views are plainly and evidently harmful to the people they're being enacted upon.

No human system is perfect and likely no human system will ever be perfect. I'm sorry to hear of your loss. Unfortunately all human systems result in a degree of failure and the human cost on the personal level must always be borne by individuals. Even totalitarian systems of total state control fail to control all aspects of life and result in outcomes the system is designed to eliminate. Mistakes were made, opportunities missed. Also linked in services with wider young people's services and educational settings... protocols that were preached to me and supposedly rolled out were not adhered to by certain individuals in those parts of the process. I did my part, others didn't do theirs. So cuts equals holes. I have no idea how much it cost for the emergency services, inquest, etc. I know how much the funeral costs were. All the charities and help I had after that awful event (bedroom tax after "one year's grace") and I had to move house. My loss of income due to not being fit to work following that. My burden upon the state. My other child's mental health and the cost to the state for the help I've needed with that. Suella Braverman's father fled Kenya during the Mau Mau uprising, because of all the deaths at the British concentration camp he was running. Now, his daughter is going back to Africa, to set up a British concentration camp.
We have been neglecting creating jobs and funding the coast guard, or the civil service for processing migrants, and instead paying money to hoteliers to house migrants in limbo. All so they can eventually be fed as stock to Suella's camps.

I get your point but I disagree
A lot of them feel comfortable talking about south Asian immigration as they make up the bulk of people in this country black people only make up 3% many of whom came under wind rush and many Africans who immigrate don’t make up the percentage that south Asian do
Importantly a lot of south Asian make up huge communities in London, South Yorkshire, Manchester everywhere. As someone who goes to Uni up north there’s hardly any black people here but. A lot of international students are either East Asian or international south Asian student or the ones born here make up a huge cohort of students.
Suella clearly attacked British Pakistani men in her rage about them sexually assaulting young white working class girls
And many of the immigrants housed in hotels are from Syria, Afghanistan, India. There was even a scandal of Vietnamese immigrants scamming the system with them buying a baby daddy to use to stay in the country as they said there children father was a British citizen
So no, whilst south Asian are racist especially yes to black people, black peoples are not the centre of these conversations. At this point there irrelevant to these conversations, the only time they bring up black people is when they talk about race and culture wars and woke politics mate
And yes there are African immigrants don’t get me wrong, but like I said black African people are being turned away
But the others like Lebanese, Indian, Pakistani, Syrian and Afghanistan people are coming on boats and stuff claiming asylum
Black people aren’t doing that mate, most come
Under a visa to work for the NHS even then there not much
But on the news recently is was said that many people from India were coming to the Uk to study under commonwealth visa’s
And there the group most loyal to Britain cause there BENEFITTING yet in black commonwealth countries they don’t benefit and are trying to get rid of the monarchy with Jamaica 🇯🇲 being next to get rid of them
So no, I think this is another ‘black people are being discriminated by them’ no it doesn’t make sense

It's sadly a very slow process and a reason why I can't support Keir Starmer
Keir Starmer rightfully backs Ukraine. Putin wants Ukraine due to it being a former member of the soviet union, and because Ukraine is a bread basket
Putin wants pretty much ANY former soviet territory that they're willing to use force to get
When it comes to Kashmir however (ie: where my family is from) Keir Starmer says "It's a bilateral issue" all whilst he curries support with Modi
Modi believes in an Akhand Bharat and has links to the extremist group, RSS. He too wants the exact same goals as Putin except for South Asia, starting with Kashmir.
You can't have an Akhand Bharat without violent imperialism, or super progressive ideas. An Akhand Bharat would put south Asia essentially under Hindu supremacy
I too would back a unification of south Asia but not with any Muslim, Sikh or Hindu supremacy. Ie: like the EU, but that's a slight tangent
Given that Keir has basically given the green light to Modi, Modi knows the west no longer cares, so he's become ever more aggressive towards Kashmir. Kashmir also has one of the most important resources on the planet which can't readily be used by any county except it's neighboring nations (water)
I see his words as a way of saying "Screw the families of 3 million British Kashmiris. You don't actually matter because we want a trade deal with India"
FWIW, I'm not anti India either. I'm anti Modi. Pre Modi, India and Pakistan both used diplomacy where possible and blaming the other country where possible
Pre Modi, Kashmir had a fairly strong Kashmiri Independence movement. After Modi comes along, almost all Kashmiris sided with Pakistan because they've got a military and Modi is the one attacking, so you don't really have a choice.
That and so far, Pakistan has kept it's promise of keeping Kashmir Azad (free)
Apparently freedom is only for white people and those countries that have oil can be invades for the false idea of freedom.
