This series made me realize that Nish and Mark need a sitcom, stat, especially if Greg plays their landlord.

The band "Diverse Stripes", Consisting of Jack Brown, a slacker with ADHD, and his wife's transgender sister and best friend Mark, a woman trying to impress long jump judge Rosalind, are trying to make it big in the music industry,
They're endeavours prove fruitless however as they must pay rent for their landlord Alan, played by Greg Davis.
Will Jack Brown and Mark be able to pay rent this month and serve Rosalind beans on toast? Or will they fear the wrath of Alan.
Or a band! (Sitcom preferred.)

He's my favorite contestant so far, cuz he wasn't very good but he was having a great time and just so positive all the time. So wholesome!

The combination of Nish, Sally, Mark, Aisling and Bob was just perfect. Series 5 was incredible.
This may be my favourite series of all for that reason. Yes, series 4 was very wholesome and quirky, and series 7 is pure madness which is great, but I don't think any group completemented each other quite as well as this one.
The series with doc brown and Joe Wilkinson remains my favourite purely because it was the first one I watched

It’s my absolute favorite. Aisling, Mark, and Nish kill me. And Sally is unhinged. Bob is beyond words.

My favourite part of that was the editors pointing out the tree with a red circle

"The Hangover" is probably the last thing I would have expected her to say.
Yeah, especially when she doesn't crack a smile except for in the initial introductions.
She didn't smile at Nish and Mark's nice song, and she didn't smile at Bob, Sally and Aisling's naughty song either. Even if it was ripping the piss out of me I wouldn't be able to stop laughing!
Rosalind HAD to be here. How him and Mark created that song in such a short time I'll never know.
You'd be surprised. I used to write songs and, with inspiration, I could crank one out in 10-15. With both of them being creative folk, and a wealth of information to pull from (not to mention - no shade to Nish and Mark, but the song isn't very complicated...) and I definitely believe they could pull it off. It's a lovely little tune :)
One of Nish's most underrated moments is when he says, "Ohhhhh! I can't see the colours." in the paint in the dark task.
His laugh when Greg calls him out on that is pure gold
My favourite part of this series was definitely the friendship between Nish and Mark and watching it grow during the tasks and then the studioshows, they so often thought alike on how to handle a task and also often came in last, it was overall so endearing to watch
Mark didn't often come last even if it seemed like it. At one point he was in the lead and could have won the whole thing.
@@nommyyt Yeah it did surprise me that Mark did so well eventually, but in the beginning of the series they were often at the end, Mark did start getting better while Nish kept getting behind
Nish's odd-yet-sweet coming of minds and friendship with Mark was wonderful in this series.

Poor Nish. He's my favorite. He just loves on everybody even though he's last every time. Series 5 was wonderful, everyone was so nice and supportive of each other.
As for my favorite Nish moment, it's when he kicks the water cooler in slo-mo and it still looks like crap. But because of how dire Aisling and Mark's attempts were, and Bob's apple trick having already been old hat to Greg, Greg winds up saying, "This is going to amaze you . . . I, thought, you know . . . that was SO shit that I think people WILL be talking about it, so Kumar, through his own shit-ness, has come second for the first time."
Especially when paired with Nish's look of delightful incredulity, it just makes it my favorite Nish moment.
100% agreed. I could watch that task 1000 times and laugh everytime.
I really enjoyed in the coconut-skateboard-bobsled task the slow dawning that not a single object he used was safe from being used by another person. “Oooh I HATE this game!!!”
i lost it when alex was recounting what nish had done during the basketball task and giving stats, like calling the ball racist 4 times
The cast for series five was a lot better than i thought, they were all perfect but Nish was definitely something else

"I'm Always seeing you [open brackets] doing cool stuff [close brackets]" is the best Nish moment of his series run. But I especially love his attempt at getting the coconut as far from the house as possible as his defining comic genius. Just throws, hits the mast, then drops to his feet as he walks away with shame! That and Alex's quip at the end. "Could've thrown again. Back inside."
To write an original song in 30 minutes about someone they only talked to for 5 minutes takes incredible talent.
And have it be a banger no less

i liked the 'getting the egg through the hoop' task where nish cracks his egg literally 1 second after alex blows the start whistle.
And iirc he was in the lead that episode as well 😭😭😂😂
It was the perfect ending to his time on taskmaster. You couldn't script it better.

i'm always seeing you (do cool stuff) is indisputably one of taskmaster's best moments period but also i absolutely love at 8:32 in the moment before their song gets presented when they grab each others' hands it's so sweet
I knew the song was coming at the end, but I still enjoyed it a lot! I'll never get over the shock of seeing that task for the first time.

Saw someone say Nish is horribly unfunny on another thread. Unbelievable that there are people who do not see his comedic genius.
Same. They were also saying all sorts of horrible things about him. Which I find perplexing. It's amazing how people can see only bad in others, tbh. And genuinely believe the issue is outside of them. He's lovely and truly enjoyable.
Thing is, tastes are different - and that's perfectly ok. But when you heap that much hate on someone who is clearly talented even if it's not your wheel house, there might be something else at play. Also, many people just whine about him being political and making fun of powerful people.
@@DrZaius3141 I am often not a fan of comedians who get political. But, I am American and many in my country take it too far. Maybe they have that feeling as well?

Nish and Mark have such lovely supportive interactions when they do team tasks. Individually they have anxiety overload when faced with tasks, but they work so well as a team.
