Are you making any of these mistakes?! 😮
I do over hydrate. I am trying to have electrolyte water more and more.
I drink alkaline fortified water of 8.5ph or higher
Please make a video on pink Himalayan salt? Is it healthy?
Some Indian youtubers claim it's unhealthy to eat pink Himalayan salt
They reccomend having normal salt (table salt) instead with iodine 😥
@@tanmay_6363Hahah nothing that's human made is good for you. Table salt is refined & only contain 2 minerals, while real sea salt contains 84 minerals, all balanced by nature.
Oh boy, can I tell you! I got dehydrated on keto and ended up in the hospital! Woah. Ty Jesus. My bp was really low
Wonderful information Kait!
great information as always, love the channel.....!
Kait.thanks for all great information learning lots to love all beautiful work on great health ❤❤
Thank you for the info, Kait. I’ve been looking for information on getting a sugar free source of the properly proportioned ratio of electrolyte supplement. I appreciate the tip.
Amazing content Kait, Thanks!
Omg this came at the right time. I couldn't sleep due to a big headache and muscles feeling like spasms and bubbling and I could not figure out why for the last few days. Tonight the headache was too much and I couldn't sleep so I typed up symptoms and it was linked to low sodium etc. When I thought about it I had been increasing my water intake (not including food teas that contain water) and reducing my salt. I don't know if this is the right way to go about it but as soon I read that I took some pink himalyian salt and felt much better. Then I go on CZcams and you post about this very thing I was dealing with. Talk about divine timing. Thank you
Thank you for good information Kait.
Nice presentation very well spoken and great detail. Thanks from Hawaii.
New to your channel. And I'm new to insulin resistance. I'm finding such good information from you. I have subscribed and will be with you for a while. Thank you for such good information!! Making good changes slowly with your help 👍
Hey Kait , thank you for all the great information, can you give a replacement for the product in the video because I live in Jordan and it's hard to get .
Watch videos and made my own electrolyte for pennies instead of dollars! Feeling great on my keto diet now intermittent fasting. Main thing: stop sugar intake. Thanks for all ur knowledge ❤
Awesome Video 🙂☕👍
Great insights, Kait! Thanks for sharing. I've been supplementing regular bottled with Vitamin Water Zero. Take magnesium supplements every night. Looking beautiful. Keep sharing your helpful tips!❤
I have been currently only eating 1 meal a day for the last 2 weeks, in addition to sipping on coffee, tea, or acv water throughout the day. I need to begin taking supplements. Especially when I incorporate exercising. Right now I'm just focusing on changing my eating habits. I'm also planning on cutting the caffeine since I've been feeling better than I was before the dieting
Thank you for the great information about electrolytes. Being 70+ years old has definitely changed how my body operates. Trying to keep the weight down and trying to avoid going on meds for pre-diabetes has lead me to focus on less sodium and more potassium food, fewer carb intake. Meals are targeted for more balance. How would an electrolyte supplement help me reach these goals. FYI, I am in the USA.
Non regular Morton table...band..bad..bad. Redmans real salt, Pink Hym, and Celtic salt...best!!
I use LMNT. Is this a good choice 🤔
I hope you are doing well in life Kait. Have a great weekend 😊
❤️❤️
Hi Kait. Is it alright for me to just take magnesium glycinate capsules and potassium gluconate tablets daily?
God bless you Kait,i love you
How much and when you need electrolytes
I have congestive heart failure and edema, Im on a fluid restriction and not supposed to be taking in sodium, 1 gram sodium is 1 lb water retention apparently. How do I approach this?
Could you say more about potassium and magnesium targets in milligrams per day?
I like Redmond Real Salt!
Is Keto recommended for Type 1 (LADA) autoimmune Diabetes?
Yes I did I doing fasting for 3 years , I’m only eating once a day. But I started gaining weight so I decided two months ago to do ketovore . My mistake is I did not take electrolytes and I’m having a lot of leg cramping and I bought fasting salt and it’s stop my cramping. I am still fasting and ketovore. I’m very happy with it.
I swim 1x:mile x 2 per week as well as other exercising. I’ve been getting cramp in my foot towards the end of my swim. A yoga pal suggested I might not be getting enough sodium as I also do 16:8 fast. On rising, I now have a glass of lemon & ginger water with a few grains of sea/rock salt and the cramping has stopped. 😁
Have made these mistakes
I’ve tried to get advice on a similar issue. When I was on Keto/low carb I started getting symptoms similar to arthritis on my knees, hands and feet. I started supplementing everything under the sun. Had my blood work done and no one could figure out what was the cause. It got so bad I couldn’t brush my own hair or hold a glass to drink from it. I slowly started bringing carbs back into my diet and the symptoms have improved. But I fear that I may have caused permanent damage somewhere because I keep getting numb legs and arms. Any idea what I might have been doing wrong? Maybe some sort of electrolyte or something I might have needed more of?? Please help!!!!
Do you eat a lot of dairy? I find I get joint pain and numbness/tingling in my hands when I eat dairy. ☹
Actually I do. That never crossed my mind. Thanks for that
@@workoffice5703 You're welcome. I hope it helps.
When you totally make all of sudden zero carbs you get such problems. The best way to consult a Keto Ditecian so that you get good nutrition . By the way, since you are new to Keto and trying to switch to low carb such kind of side effects are common. The BEST way is consult a professional DITECIAN. 🙏🙏
Just one little detail, it would be, and it is just a suggestion that people know that they should check with a doctor before they try taking any of these supplements or drinks just to suggestion😅
It’s almost impossible to get an adequate amount of potassium from food alone! I highly recommend using potassium chloride salt. It makes it super easy to get your goal for potassium. Sodium is easy from sea salt. And magnesium supplements are necessary anyway. Thanks for the great video!
Interesting comment about potassium. Thanks 👍
I too have been sprinkling potassium on food. @jamescalifornia2964
My goal is optimal cellular hydration. I'd like the formula for that.
Tip - plain Kiefer and yogurt, don't like the taste???,....... try adding healthy electrolytes powder! Yummy!

I find when i drink too much water in a day i get very hungry.
Me too.
Over hydration 😢
How do we know how much water to drink?
Ah dont listen to someone who tries to panic you into buying affiliated products. Nuts and salt cover those needs.
Just drink when you start to feel thirsty. There is no set amount as it differs for each person..
Too much potassium landed me in the hospital…
I'm curious how the electrolyte you mentioned is better or different from LMNT?
Both are good! Sodii ships worldwide, LMNT doesn’t ship to Australia any more so I can’t get them 😭
• I worry about electrolytes when I fast more than 2 days ... 🤔
Will Sodii break my fast?
No
🙏😎
Sodium and potassium are ideal in a ratio, and most people get too little potassium for the sodium they consume. I know there's a big scare about potassium, but it's mostly BS, to the point of potassium supplements being useless because they're hopelessly minute. When our DNA was approaching what we currently have today, our ancestors got about 11,000 mg of potassium a day and under 700mg sodium (source: Harvard Health.) It's VERY difficult to reach the level of potassium toxicity. I cap my own potassium citrate, which I buy in bulk. I also supplement magnesium, which I discovered serendipitously as a chronic pain patient.
Pro tip: The brand you're pimping doesn't have nearly enough potassium or magnesium. The RDA for potassium is 4700mg. It's twice the RDA for sodium. Most people salt their food. Most people do not add potassium.
My mom is always low in potassium. My dad is low in sodium. I’m more like my dad.
I’m allergic to nuts and avocados!
Kiwi will be your best source
Well this is about keto/ low carb and kiwis are nowhere near that
@@CaptainHieronymusLex Green and gold kiwifruit are good sources of potassium
Yes but they'll kick you out of ketosis
@@CaptainHieronymusLex nope. It keeps you there.
pink salt for sodium and banana for potassium & magnesium = Best and Natural
WAY too carby, and banana isn't even close to the best potassium source.
I love my zero Gatorade
you seem like you have aged 15 years compared to your 2020 video, carnivore can't be that healthy
I don’t eat carnivore. And it’s been 5 years. I have aged 😂
@@HealthCoachKait then maybe eating carnivore would make you look younger
What an obnoxious comment!
Time to visit Specsavers. 😀
