Yes! I’ve been following you for a couple of years now. I appreciate all your tips. I usually get sick when eating to much carbs. I don’t do that often. Just recently I was waiting for my dad to get a biopsy. There wasn’t much options to eat. I was going to fast but my mom ordered pizza. Then after the biopsy, my poor hungry dad wanted Italian food. 😳
Pomegranite juice is supposedly low on the glycemic index and doesn't create sugar spikes, but shows 34 grams of sugar (no added sugar). Can you explain?
store bought fruit juice should be avoided@@ronaldduchac7396
One issue I had when I cut way down on carbs and sugar was that I wasn't getting enough fiber. I talked to my doctor about it, and she told me that I need to eat more foods with insoluble fiber in them. Can you do a video on fiber intake while trying to maintain a healthy blood sugar and examples of foods with insoluble fiber in them?
Try some magnesium citrate
Together with carbs u can try ladies finger and Indian lauki..its gi is very low and most suitable for diabetics
Fiber is not an essential food
The Fiber myth was finally put to rest after scientists released the findings of an eight-year clinical trial involving 49,000 women, also known as the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) Dietary Modification Trial.
People who eat a Carnivora diet
I just eat a lot of strawberries, cherries, cauliflower, red cabbage , occasional broccoli. I do 16:8 intermittents fasting 3-4 times a week. I prioritize eating protein and fat, but after I have my first meal I’ll snack on some berries. I categorize myself as low carb and if I do a cheat day, it’ll be so roast potatoes not a sugary dessert. Just doing these thing has improved my overall health by a lot.
KAIT... you are truly helping people and changing their lives and saving their health and saving people from terrible diabetes and being on terrible medicine for the rest of their lives. Thank you so much
I've watched hundreds of videos on keto; so I've heard most of this info before. However, I've never heard it presented with such understanding. These were some great tips for those of us who don't have the wherewithal to do strict keto.
Your insights are amazingly helpful!!
Thank you, Kait!!
Outstanding Commentary!!! Priceless!!! Thank You!!!
Kait, as someone trying to figure out myself and Type II, this has been an extremely informative video.
Love your suggestions Kait!

Heard all of them before. Thanks for the reminder. I need to make a laminated check off list and put it on my refrigerator. Thanks for your videos
So do I....
Thank you ! I really enjoyed this video
Thanks. This was helpful.
Thanks Kate
can you talk about having normal blood sugar levels and symptoms of hypoglycemia and what to do about it ?
I will - for some, it is "reactive hypoglycemia" when too much insulin is dumped after a high carb meal, especially if simple carbs without fiber or fat to slow absorption. Another reason for women especially, if before menopause, it happens before a period when your progesterone levels drop naturally. that leaves a lot of unopposed estrogen in your system, which, estrogen lowers blood sugar very very fast. same goes after menopause, but often feeling low and normal blood sugars can be from low thyroid, extremely common. I know from experience. it used to happen to me and doctors were oblivious to it. Now I take HRT and thyroid and sugar is perfect and I can eat a ton of carbs. like, cookies and cake whenever I want. it was all hormonal.
Thanks Coach Kait! 👍
(You have the most charming bumper music! ❤️)

Good morning 🌄 coach from Johannesburg South Africa
Thank you Sooooo MUCH for this video!!!!
Helpful video, thank you
Great job impressed. Subscribed
awesome helps! Thanks!!!!
Let me tell y’all another secret. I’m a huge canner. I will soak and rinse potatoes (homegrown) or organic then can them. I’m a carnivore, but I prep everything.
Either way, outside of ‘or’ inside glass mason jars, cool refrigerate potatoes for 12 hours “AFTER cooking potatoes” to build a much healthier “Resistant Starch” in potatoes, to help stop blood sugar spikes and to help stop potatoes from turning to glucose and fat in the body.
Great video! Thanks kait. One easy way to reduce blood glucose besides a walk is to do a soleus pushup while seated It is researched to reduce a post meal glucose spike by 30+% A soleus push up is even easier than going for a walk so perfect for those that are stuck at their desk due to their jobs and cannot go for a walk, or those that are feel too lazy to walk and prefer to be couch potatoes
And always here for thumbs . Feels good supporting you for years now
Smart information Thanks
Very informative liked it.❤❤❤❤
Thank you a lot

Great advice.
Hi Kait I have not but i will' thank you.
Hi Kait! Thank you for these great videos! Can you tell me if an ACV pill can work the same way? Husband hates vinegar taste. Thanks!
What about fermented carbs? Especially the natural ones?
Great post Kait, have heard of the heating &cooling if potatoes &rice..does it work with pasta?
Yes .all the starches
Great vid ❤
Hi love I was born in Australia 🇦🇺 Adelaide love your thinking how to make your sugar much so better ❤❤
I am from Toronto and live in Adelaide 😃
Danke
Just found you. Is balsamic vinegar a good source?
Thank you
I eat green banana with cottage cheese or yogurt (full fat). This helps on blood glucose from rising high, but i add a half spoon of olive oil, sprinkle ground flaxseed, chia seeds, shreeded coconut, there's no glucose hike. I i experienced it everytime and its yummy. Also resistance training is tremendously helpful after a high carbs meal, specially when the weather does not cooperate for a walk.
Great tip. Will try that. By green banana, you mean not too ripped?
@nanapoku5259
Yes, unripe banana. Very popular in the West Indies! Tastes like potato a bit!
You sprinkle olive oil, chia seeds, coconut etc in addition to the yogurt/cheese? I guess you cook the green banana, don't think it can be eaten raw
skip the banana and add kiwi, blueberry, raspberry, ginger root is a great adiction to the diet
@@user-mc5ch1rs4dyou do?

Hey ❤ are dairy products or whey protein powder good for women with PCOS?
after breakfast and lunch, i’m on the go. could i get the same benefit if i just did 10-20 push ups and squats after dinner? or if out with friends, could i do some isometric things at the table?
Too beautiful KAIT, I am in love ❤. Thanks for your advise!
I will tell you that not consuming coffee and dairy I don't experience acid reflux no longer plus losing more weight. I'm keto and enjoy it fully. though I tenderize prior to grilling. Even meat that's less than 20% fat, you'll still get your daily fat intake. I eat smart not just to eat. I'm 59 so everything I eat matters.
Good morning for you gorgeous from Beautiful Arizona 🇺🇸
IAM eating sweet potato 🍠 in my pajamas ! ! ! ! ! ! !
What do you think of medical medium
If the carbs come from fruits or vegetables I can eat them just fine. However I can’t eat beans. But I can eat potatoes. Considering I am no longer eating bread, rice, or any other grains. Then I think it’s okay for me to eat potatoes occasionally.
Asked my Dr about fastin insulin test and was told " Never herd of that", NOW WHAT?
.
I'm in my upper 50's and work nights. My sugar is all over the place. I don't want to get off nights (pays more) it's hard to do stuff at night on weekends. Suggestions?🤔
Eat your last meal before 19:00. I'm doing nights for last fitheen years and I have no problems at all. With two hours before you go to bed after the night shift do not eat. Hope it helps take care
Order Butcher Box for the good meats right to your door in the U.S.A.
How Long...Insulin Resistance Normal again...
We can eat good carbs
I thought I heard you say if dont like apple cider vinegar you coukd substitute a different vinegar what about rice wine vinegar?
Yep any vinegar
Hi. Joey here from Adelaide South Australia. How much carbs can anyone with Type2 have on a daily basis. I'm not overweight. My fasting blood glucose levels average 6.3 per month. I ate black rice last night and my level this morning was 7.6. Thank you for all your info. Ciao. Joey
What do you mean 7.6 or 6.3? My numbers are 145, 127, 162, etc
@@DeKalbGal Joey here. In Australia 6.3mmol/L
@joeybozz I understand your numbers because I live in Canada and our meters read the numbers the same way. If that was your number in the morning it's considered high. Factors to consider are what time did you eat the night before, how big was your carb (so rice portion)? Did you have any fibre (vegetables) to help break that down and help regulate your sugar? I find the California mix (broccoli, carrot, cauliflower) to be a good choice, a nice salad or if you can afford it an avocado with every meal anything to cut through that rice and most importantly your protein choices are important as well. The later you eat your body is working overtime to break down the food especially carbs like rice and potatoes and if you're not active after dinner it makes it worse. Hope this helps. Good luck on your journey.

YES 😊AWESOME CHANNEL 👌
Great info!
Yes the Zone diet had a balanced ratio of macros to stabilize blood sugar but you made it easily clear. Nice!
What type of vinegar do I add to water to drink before meals?
apple cider
Any vinegar works
When low in carbs find have low energy and dragging.
No potatoes change back apparently..... 👍🙏
Do you do any vlog style videos anymore?
Not so much
@@HealthCoachKait 😞
Listening to another video contracting another dozen
Sometimes I wish I could return to consume more meat However I've been relying on my protein source from fish, eggs, cheeses, nuts, lentils, linseed etc for quite some time💚However I could most surely do with increasing my protein intake daily
I find most protein powders to be too expensive💚💟💛
Fish, eggs, cheese and nuts is very complete diet, IMHO. I'd drop the lentils and linseed!
@@ianstuart5660 What do you think seems to be wrong with linseed + lentils? It's good to have variety + linseed + lentils have some fibre too💚
@bestm333
Might just myself because I used to eat plenty of those. When I cut them out, I lost weight, lost digestive issues and just feel better. I'm a big believer in doing a keto or carnivore diet because it's been so miraculous for so many people, including myself! You might be different, but I hope you'll find what works best!
❤️💙
@@ianstuart5660 Thank you immensely much for giving your enlightenments+ sharing what has + didn't work for you sincere soul💚💟💛Yes I completely comprehend re Lentils since they're pretty high in carbohydrates
It confused's to why linseeds might stop some1 losing weight though🤔
Of course you're right everyone's unique individual + what works for some won't work for others
I love flaxseed or linseeds for not just protein but fibre too
Just see Dr Mindy video where she's stating impertiveness of fibre + I feel benefits with linseeds or flaxseeds you know
I've heard good things re carnivorous diet too but can't fathom how they get their fibre
It's honestly like some carnivores don't give acknowledgement to the need for fibre whatsoever
Confuses me
Do you do fasting at all?If you don't mind me asking:-What did you find worked best for you in order to lose weight?
I need to lose 10pounds but it's stubborn + though 10pounds isn't huge 'mount I feel uncomfort'ble with these excess10pounds
God bless you + yours forevermore💚💟💛
@ianstuart5660 This happened to me too. All the beans and lentils were too carb heavy and I could not lose weight until I cut them out.
Does it matter if I can't walk fast??? I'm still recovering from my surgery. ✌️
It shouldn't, whats important is movement. Wishing you a quick and easy recovery.
@@cookiebells1473 thank you. ✌️
New subs here🎉
Does Splenda cause your body to think it's sugar? Does it spike blood sugar?
The funny thinks is so many scientists these days each one tell you different suggestions about carbs so you don’t know which one is right 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😢
Mmmm yeah, na. None is this is correct. I have done all of this, and got into trouble. I have been hearing each and every one of these points for decades. If you have Diabetes I suggest you learn to intermittent fast - you can do it. If you are able, trial food and document the spikes - simply don't go there. Vinegar is a good tip. Exercise should be part of your solution. Take your blood sugar reading BEFORE deciding to eat; if you are not back to a low rage, continue fasting, test again in 24 hours.
I just heard we should vegetables first before meat.
You don’t need to eat before meat/protein, just carbs
Why is it drastic to cut out carbs? People keep saying that but it isn’t necessarily true. It just requires learning about great substitutions.
carbs turn into sugar, glucose, insulin resistance, cortisol
@@investigativeoutcomes9343 agree and it isn’t hard to make the change.
I have read The Glucose Goddess latest book - She covers all your hacks. Great to be reminded 👍
What are your thoughts on carb cycling with insulin resistance??

Jessie Inchauspé advice as in her book
She has great tips! This has been my approach for the last 5~ years ❤️
Take vinegar before and after meals that really helps. After 15 min of meals take berberine 30c homeopathic med 10 drops in half cup of water n consume by small sips. After 40 atleast 1 meal a day should be a salad of veggies n fruits.
