My belly been large for a long time (always had one) the older I've gotten it just won't flatten and my weight is being stubborn and hard to lose. Blood glucose has been beautiful until last weeks hematology blood test said my glucose is 151, when I have always been 80-90. That sugar binge has stopped now im back on my fasting. I don't have dark patches or skin tags but my feet swell a little and I itch more.
Hi dear!
I have a problem with getting pregnat,is it because of high insuline resistance? Tell me pls,i have lots of years without success and I am taking metformine now which my period are regulated and I have started losing 4 kg for 3 months. Give me a little hope.
I have never been told I was insulin resistant. I was diagnosed with pcos at age 11. I am 40 now with type 2 diabetes. Had gestational with both pregnancies. It took me 8 years to get pregnant. I did fertility treatments but was unsuccessful. I lost 50 pounds got pregnant with baby 1. Gained it all back. Lost 50 again got pregnant with baby 2...was a surprise cause I was focused on baby 1 and thankful I had 1. Haven't gotten pregnant since but I struggle with sugar and carbs. It's a cycle. I lose weight get off track get stuck on sugar and carbs get back into losing then it all starts over. Pcos is invisible...I forget I have it til everything is wacked out then I focus again but diabetes is another form of wack it's making me so weak physically.
@@mirsidaalija2443 portion control, less carbs, and I worked out six days a week with a home workout plan I used turbo jam and turbo fire but the second time I lost I only did elliptical and bicycle and some weight training. 30 minutes a day of sweating is good enough. But mostly portion control less carbs and sugar because it doesn't agree with my body. Also I drank 1 tbs of apple cider vinegar before meals. I have started again recently and have gotten my A1c down to normal numbers. I still have alot of work to do but I have to work on keeping myself focused. This is my only struggle is focus.
@@patriciawilliams6009 thanks for sharing dear m.tell me please, how did you lose weight, because its too difficult to lose. Have you taken metformine? If yes,how many month?
High blood pressure
Weight to height ratio
Skin tags
High triglycerides
Low HDL cholesterol
Abdominal fat
Dark skin patches
Swollen ankles
Sugar cravings after eating
Irregular periods
Acne
Frequent urination
waist to height ratio.... the weight to height is BMI
Thank you thank you thank you.
Thank you!
I have hypertension, skin tags and swollen ankles. I am reversing it. I have been able to reduce my medication, and fit shoes I haven’t fit for a few years. I am sleeping better at night, and have lost about 10 lbs. First time in years of trying to lose it.
Lovely stuff! Keep going it’s worth it ❤
Happy for you. Keep up the excellent work. 💪
Work up to longer fasting window. It works miracles for weight loss and lower blood sugar.
Have you gotten your liver enzymes checked?
@@user-dp8lr9sb8g 👍
My A1C is currently 5.4. No medications for years. I run 3 miles 4x a week, diet, and 2x I do weight training. It's hard, but it's all between your ears.
I was diagnosed with PCOS, pre diabetic and ulcerative colitis. I changed my diet about 10 months ago and everything is improving l, just need to wxercise more. My A1C went down from 6.1 to now 5.9. And my cholesterol went from 217 to now 140 and so on. All my numbers are getting balanced. Its amazing. If i just moved a little more id be in even better shape inside and out.
Started low carb diet 4 months ago lost 16 kilo, after 5 weeks I could stop my blood pressure medication. Feel great now.
Thank you for what you do. Until I started watching your channel I did not know skin tags and high insulin were related. Over the last few years I had noticed som popping up now I see them getting smaller. Thanks again Kate.
Thank you
Thank you Kait!
you can also get these tests at any local lab express. In most places you do not need a dr's script.

Insulin Resistance…
* Swollen Ankles
* Craving sugar after a meal
Keep explaining to the Dr. 5.6 is Insulin Resistance, fasting insulin 100 !!!!
while he and other Dr.’s keep saying “ your fine “ not pre- diabetic or Insulin Resistant !!!!! SO SAD ! When these can be caught and helped before driving the body fully into the disease
Wow !!!!!!!!
I was suddenly seeing a rash of skin tags under my arms and on my neck. I am now KETO, and the skin tags have suddenly DISAPPEARED! I also walk at least 30 minutes every day! Also read: "Lies My Doctor Told Me!"
Instead of skin tags, I have developed lots of small cherry angiomas on my chest. Apparently these are also caused by insulin resistance.
My signal that I had years before I was diagnosed were random blisters on the soles of my feet for no apparent reason.
bravo Kait
Some great take aways there to look out for Kait. Hope the podcast will be on YT too.
Of course!
You've been an inspiration offering multiple ways to get things back on track. I've been adhering to a Keto diet for a year now. Lost roughly 70lbs and my skin tags have reduced significantly. 😃
Amazing Brian!!!! Glad I could help keep you on track 🥰
Thanks!
Thank you Nathan!! 🥰
Insightful
This has been really helpful, thank you! I’m subscribing!
Welcome! 🤗
I got my bloodwork drawn yesterday along with insulin. I can't wait to see what it is. My hs crp test was 2 which is a little concerning to me. Not sure what is causing my inflammation.
Great information, thanks 🙂☕👍
😃😃
Thank you kait
🤗🤗
It is so hard these days because my Dr kept telling me for a long time that my sugar levels were high but not too bad according to her. I now feel so worried about it and have been listening to all your videos to get more information.....thanks for all you do......MINDY
Appreciate the tips, loved you in Dexter.
😎😎
Too funny, ur right
I either get that I look like Dexters sister… or Ronaldo 😂😂😂😂
I had to request a insulin level test. My dr did it for me, along with the other things he always checks once a year.
I hope I’ll get to watch you on the ice someday!! That would be so cooool!! ❤
Awesome you got your doctor to test it! I'll post the live stream links when my next season starts 😃
I have eleven of those symtoms you mention
THANK YOU SO MUCH! This video compiles all of the information I’ve gathered from Dr Fung, Dr Pelz and Dr Boz into one video! I was planning to ask my Doctor for a test of my insulin during my upcoming physical. If they refuse I now have another source. Thank you so much for this well thought out and spoken video. I’ll be sharing this with everyone!

16/06 female 50kg 33years old
I had skin tags, low hdl, abdominal fat, dark skin pacthes, frequent urination. My blood sugar is normal, after eating only 111, but it bcs i start have low card diet. 😢 kinda sad it’s been too long to have this IR symptoms. Hope i can heal from this
You can!!
My cholesterol is excellent, my blood pressure is great no high blood pressure or triglycerides but my A1c is elevated. My waist is 34 inches. My endocrinologist says it’s because of my anemia that’s causing it to be 5.9-6.1 as I eat less than 75 grams of carbs per day.
A video of yours just popped up in my alerts whilst watching this one. " Having to eat every few hours"
❤thanks for sharing 👍🏻 S.A
The only symptom is craving sweets after eating. Had that since I was little so I think it’s more of a habit. I have high hDL, triglycerides under 100, healthy weight, low blood pressure, low testosterone… BUT but sugar tends to react with spikes when other people don’t, my fasting insulin was 9, and my Ha1c (before I changed my eating) was 5.9! Sometimes you seem healthier on the outside then you are on the inside. Get the labs
I have all but irregular cycle, and acne because I don't have a cycle. My doctor has not tested me for insulin resistance. I think I am one of the many who is undiagnosed. My A1C is borderline
Kait I have bally fat and skin tags.Have a good day.
Does that include nasal polyps ?
Is DPN also a sign of insulin resistance??
Good afternoon

The thing I found most disturbing watching this is that before being diagnosed as diabetic I had these sign and my doctor never even suggested I was on my way to being diabetic. I know now that the signs were clearly there I was overweight, had high blood pressure and if he had looked while doing my exam he would have seen the discolored skin on my inner thighs.
I know 😭 The signs are all there but as long as blood sugar is "normal" they don't bat an eye!!
I hope you will get things turned around --- many testimonies of folks having success.
@@dannebonaparte2213 Thanks for your consern. I am doing fine. As soon as I was diagnosed I did some of my own research and went on a strict low starch low sugar diet along with time restricted eating. In less than six months my bg levels were normal and I have lost nearly 50 lbs.
One more question- where do we measure our waist to get accurate measurements? I’ve heard at the dip, just above the hip bone, etc. It all conflicts, so let’s hear it from you Coach!
Mid way between hip bone and bottom of ribs ❤️
QQQ: Can you have different levels of fasting insulin in the blood at different times of the day or is always the same? Can some cells in the body be insulin resistant while others aren't? What is the mechanism that decides if a cell is resistant to insulin or not?
Help me with my diet
Go carnivore! Give yourself 3 months to see the difference. Search about it.
Hi Kait! What is a good fasting insulin level?
Below 3 mIU/mL is ideal
@@HealthCoachKait oof. Mine was 5.7.
Ok not terrible! You can get that below 3 in no time. I’ve seen people with 20+.
I do not have high blood pressure, triglycerides, dark patches or large circumstance, or acne. I have a small waist and tummy. My weight is in my legs, thighs, and butt. However, I do have skin tags, moles, and swollen ankles. I do crave sugar after eating. Could I still be insulin resistant?
lol, I just checked height to waist ratio and came up .54 🤦🏽♀️ also high blood pressure isn’t always about food…I’m sure mine has to do with my Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism and no matter what I do it doesn’t seem to go away
High, healthy fat intake is good for thyroid support.
What did you measure? Inches for Height?
Doesn't matter if you use inches or cm just use the same unit for both
For me it seems it was not specifically diet, like sugar, etc--but inflammation and things that cause my inflammation to worsen. It's all stemming from that and the resulting autoimmune problems.
I have Type 2 Diabetes. I also have one copy of the Hemochromatosis gene. I have asked my doctor if there is a connection between the two and they look at me like I am crazy. I would like to see if blood letting would help with my T2D.
Recently I need to go peeing 3-4 times when I feel hungry. I am pre-diabetics. What's going on?
This was eye opening Thank you! can I ask why you recommend carbs later in the day vs breakfast and you can burn them throughout the day? Does insulin resistance Lower testosterone in a man vs raise in a woman?
When you have them on an empty stomach they are metabolised more quickly and there's a bigger blood sugar spike. When you have them later in the day this is less significant plus they can (for some people) help support sleep). To be clear, by later in the day I mean anytime after breakfast, but you still want to have your last meal at least 3 hours before bed.
Yes, different mechanism in men. Insulin resistance lowers testosterone for men so reversing it can increase it.
@HealthCoachKait Thanks, Kait. I'll be watching more of your videos on this.
Stupid question...before I even start the video...if you're already pre-diabetic, is it worth even testing for insulin resistance??? I feel like that's a given- time to fix the problem at that point
Not stupid! No, if you’re prediabetic you already know you’re insulin resistant. The same protocol applies for reversing it though ❤️
Thank you so, so much for answering. You're a God-send!!! ❤️
If I lose extra weight easily with keto + int.fasting, does it mean that I'm not insuline resistant?
Anybody know why a blood sugar would dip uncommonly low 3 hours after eating ice cream? Normally, 3 hrs after meals, I'm at 125, but I got to 80 3 hrs after eating ice cream - which I rarely eat. I was notified of prediabetes, 5.7, recently. Doc said nothing about it, just gave me the results. *I'm not ordered to test at home, but I do occasionally to see what foods do to me.
Reactive hypoglycaemia caused by insulin resistance. But 80 is not “low”.
Love your work Kait. Keep it up 👍⭐💕. But now that you live in Australia, it would be great if you reference Australia and not USA in your videos
I have lived in Australia for 9 years 😁 but 80% of my subscribers are from the US... followed by Canada, the UK and Australia... Only 5% of you guys are from here as well so that's why I tend to cater to the Americans ☹️
I’ll try to reference Australia more ❤️
@@HealthCoachKait Yes, Australian references as well would be great 😊 Thank you for such a great video!!!
Hope more Aussies will subscribe to your awesome channel ♥️
I’m trying to get back on the ketovore/carnivore wagon to fix my insulin resistance, psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, fibromyalgia etc etc… I was seeing great results before falling off the wagon so I know I need to get back to it asap. Thank you again for all your valuable information and support ♥️
My husband is type 2 diabetes on insulin now tried ozempic but it made him sick .. now our youngest daughter who doesn’t eat in healthy at all is testing with borderline high fasting blood sugar.. she’s only 16 I am worried about her .. I think it’s genetic as we have 6 kids all grown and just dad and the youngest are just marginally overweight.. we eat healthy I don’t understand how they developed this ? Can it be genetic?
Get information on carnivore diet.
Hi Kait, the book mastering suggests eating no more than 15 percent healthy fats and high a carbohydrate diet.Is it possible for a high fat diet to lead to insulin resistance?
Not based on the vast majority of scientific evidence which demonstrates low carb, high fat is extremely effective at reversing insulin resistance.
Thanks Kait.
I meant LDL and triglycerides and HDL
All have went down?
Or just improved
@@HealthCoachKait went down
Of the 12, I have stomach to height ratio that is too high...57!!! Way over 53!!!
Intermittent Fasting is the way to fix most metabolic issues.
I like the shirt, looks nice on you.
what about orange/yellow eyes? am I donezo?
Yellow eyes are gallbladder backed up. Eat more fat. Carnivore fixed my gallbladder for me. Whites if eyes were yellow but now white.
I have eleven of what you just read about insulin
I have 3 signs n having difficulty in loosing weight 😢
Walk fasted every morning
frequent urination happen when it is already at a stage of T2D and will be reflected in high fasting glucose.
Since last summer my cholesterol went down 60 points low level of insulin
Which cholesterol number? You shouldn’t be focused on LDL, triglycerides and HDL are more meaningful.
She says she has a bachelor's degree in exercise. I've never heard of that . What college did she attend?
I have a BSc majoring in nutrition and exercise from the University of South Australia. Why would I lie about my credentials which can be easily fact checked? 😂
@@HealthCoachKait I never heard of anyone getting a degree in exercise. I also never heard of a university of South Australia.
Well I have one!
