This video should have about 900K more views. I never knew these profiles existed! You are the man and keep up the grind.
Thanks so much for this.... It has transformed my FFB experience 10 fold. I get so much more enjoyment having decent settings now. Keep up the great work.
Getting a DD1 tomorrow. This guide is just awesome. So I prepared everything and with the driver profiles (which I did not know they exist, so thanks for that) the expectations are high. So thanks a lot for this video.
Many Greetings from Germany!
tried this today, i have to say thanks for this because it gives me more fidelity and control in the ffb ! Tried only for the Merc Evo so far and feels great !
Thank you. This is working very good with my DD2.
I’ve had my DD1 for a year and am always trying to tweak the ffb to get it just right. I found this yesterday and wow, now it feels amazing. Thank you for sharing.
Happy to help!
Does the loaded profile map to "Set 1" on the tuning menu by default?
Thank you man love the video quick and direct to the point, I just uppgrade from a csw2.5 to a dd1 right now so this helped a lot. Keep it up man.
Wow can't wait to try this. Just got my dd2 2 days ago
Just bought a Fanatec DD2 I'm so excited
Nice!
It feels so great now, thank you very much
just tested out the honda civic type r, loved it the fedback!! i just decided to lower my max force from 60 to 45, i prefer a stiffer ffb. amazing!
HEy man, I wanted to sincerely thank you for this video and explanations. You can't imagine how I struggle to set up my DD2 and other Fanatec components is even though it is said it is the best and easiest ecosystem. I sub'd =)
Awesome thanks
Thanks for the video. Very helpful. Why is the steering angle not set to auto? MX5
I believe in the past auto had some issues in certain situations. That could be why.
I have a DD1 Wheel, I know you said something in the video about multiplying the FFB by 1.25 but it just feels so much stronger than I am comfortable with. If I'd spin I'd break my hands. But if I go down to like 50% its still strong like if I hang onto the wheel and hit the wall it will hurt a tiny bit but I feel like I don't have as much control then. Like I feel like my old logitech gear non direct drive wheel gives me more control. Any ideas?
If you’re use to a Logitech it can take a while to adjust. It’s such a different experience that if you’ve used a Logitech wheel long enough. I could see it taking longer to get use to. Use the amount of FFB that feels comfortable for you. And don’t hold on to the wheel if you’re headed into a wall.
I’ve lowered the ffb sometimes when I’m tired and felt it still had good control and detail. But perhaps playing with damper or FEI settings to compensate for the lower forces might help.
Also might be a good motivation to workout at the gym. It was for me lol 💪 eventually it doesn’t feel as strong anymore as you build up to it.
@@AeroVeloce Thanks
My ini file doesn’t have some of those settings that have to be changed.Do you think i have old version? Pls help?
Does the loaded profile run on the Set 1 by default in the Tuning Menu? Thanks for the video man! Much appreciated!
Yes it does.
@@AeroVeloce Thanks so much mate! You have no idea how many people and groups I have asked this and can't get a definitive answer. I already had the profiles but didn't really know what I was doing, now I have a much better idea. Can't wait to give it a go. Thanks again!
So when you load a car profile what slot of the 5 does it go into ? Or can you explain the difference between the two
They always load into the number 1 slot.
Just got the dd1 haven’t set it up yet . And haven’t tried the settings but have been reading this comment as the new update was released . What do we need to do different with the current updates and drivers differently than what’s shown in this video ?
Install driver 447 and fanalabs 1.66.
forum.fanatec.com/discussion/26456/fanalab-1-66-post-your-feedback-here/p4
On this page you'll find Maurice's latest versions of the profiles. Everything else should be the same.
Hello, i'm kinda late to the party but.. would this work for a CSL DD 8nm with ofc different strengh in the iracing settings?
You could try. On the wheelbase you’d want 100% force and then tune in game.
Is there dirt oval car settings in there as well? New to Fanatec DD1 with V3 pedals
Yes all cars have been implemented in latest profiles.
so how does this compare with like irffb. im using this from your other video in ACC and its fantastic. ive just been dialing in iracing with irffb and it was a massive improvement. all things ive read its all about iracings old 60hz ffb and irffb upscaling it. Is this actually an improvement even at that 60hz in the sim itself? Once again fantastic vid man. thanks
While I personally haven’t tried irffb. I’ve read up about it and it’s an interpolation software to smoothen out the 60hz signal. The interpolation setting already does that on fanatec DD wheelbases so would seem redundant. Some swear by it though so if you can toggle it off and compare that’s what I would try and see what feels best.
@@AeroVeloce I'll backup the files and give it a go as even a couple of days ago I jumped into iRacing and started driving couple laps in I realised I did t have irffb on. Restarted and it felt totally different. So I'll backup the files and give this ago.p in the next few days. I'll let you know. Thanks again.
@@racecrashrepeat and whats the result
?
ok so let me see if i got this right because it feels off for me. i updated my dd1 and everything. then installed fanalab 1.65 and the drivers.... then i downloaded the profiles and did the changes in the app.ini. i started iracing and i did the controller changes in setup . then i picked the bmw and loaded that profile i find in game the wheel to be super light now and i find the handling characteristics different. what am i doing wrong? i used to use irffb and i found that great. this feels off. i have max force A 60 n 17nm
Did you multiply the profile ffb value by 1.25 for the dd1?
So I run a set of HE Sprints so when I open the setups it says the Wheel and Pedals don't match. If I continue on it should still give me the correct wheel settings, right??
Yes you’ll still get the correct settings
Just save that profile and the warning disappears . It saves the profile without Fanatec v3 pedals, that Maurice uses. The same with steering wheel, if you use a different one from the person who created the profile it gives a warning. Again, just save and it will be updated with your gear.
There is a new option called 'smoothing' in Iracing options. What would you set that as?
I set it to 0
As of today the latest Beta driver and Fanalab has auto-switching for Profiles!!
Thanks for the heads up, been waiting for this!
@Aero Veloce it's so exciting. Maurice even did profiles for every single iRacing car now, with it matching the name of the car exactly so that the auto-switching works correctly
do you not need to change profile on fanalabs every time you change car ?
or do the fanalabs change base on car ?
You have to change based on car but their working on an auto detect car feature for the future.
@@AeroVeloce Fanalab auto detect by game, but I'm pretty sure it will never be detected by car, wanna bet ?
) I use fanalab on my DD1 for over 2 years, also with Maurice profiles, since his first upload, and for me it's a very good piece of software. You can change almost everything and save. It never failed me. If you're using some car most of the time you can switch that profile to default. That's the best you can do in this moment.
@@AndreMiguelLopes69 I hope it does, Maurice mentioned it a while back I believe. Although if it does come I’d expect it to be a while.
The Ferrari GT3 evo just says 15nm once what is the max force on that car?
I believe it’s 36 if my memory serves me right.
just got a dd2 and got these profiles but its saying wrong wheel? any help much appreciated
Just ignore the message
Are this profiles made with torque key on?
Yes
Hey, why is my Max force slider upside down after showing Nm, all the way to left is 8500 and all the way right is 17 which is what i set my Wheel Force. 8500 is the weakest and 17 is the hardest. Im using Proche 992 which is 40/17
Hmm, I’ll test mine again and see if I can recreate the issue.
@@AeroVeloce Any update on this?
@@Ivo- Hey sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner, been super busy lately. The first number “40” would be your max force and the “17” is your wheel force. They are two separate sliders right next to each other.
Hi, tried this today and the FFB is so strong ! Is it normal ? i'm using the DD1 and i've done the conversion. it's barely unplayable.
These are a bit on the stronger side. Usually about 10-15nm. If that’s too much you can just turn it down.
@@AeroVeloce I have to decrease the "Max force", "Wheel force" or the FFB strengh in Fanalab ?
For information i decreased the Max force to 102 NM instead of 48 NM for 911 GT3 R, it's a lot ! Maybe i missed something ?
Don't understand why the value increase and the force decrease lol
@@jean-marieluiggi1354 I would just decrease the ffb on fanalabs and leave the in game settings to how it should be in the profile.
I noticed that too. I just set FFB to 50 and it was golden for me
Too bad because not speaking English I try to understand by looking I downloaded the file and imported the machines into fanalab. But I can't figure out what you do after by changing the parameters in the Iracing folder. I think it's important because I'm using it without having changed anything in the Iracing folder.
This feels way too light based on recommended settings. Using DD2 with torque key. I had to bump max force slider all the way to 25 and kept wheel force at 16 to get any feedback on straights. Am I doing something wrong?
What car are you testing and what steering wheel are you using? Ex. Formula v2.5 or Porsche podium wheel.
Ferrari evo 2020, formula v 2.5
@@laddjd347 that car does have lighter ffb compared to the formula 3 which doesn’t have power steering for example.
I would do another pass over all the settings to make sure everything is set properly.
You can add me on discord if you’d like to go over it more.
@@AeroVeloce Ok, thank you. To make sure, I'm right... Pick a car -> then hit load -> then adjust force settings in game (slider). And it will do it right then, or does it need to be before race or something? And to make it stronger - what is the best setting to adjust? max force/wheel force?
@@laddjd347 yes that’s correct. To make it stronger I would just increase the FFB on the wheel since you can do it quickly while driving too.
im using a DD1, where do i go to update the FFB figure?
Link to the fanatec forum post is in the description.
@@AeroVeloce sorry. I meant in your post you say to get the FF figure of the DD1 and times it by 1.25. Is this FFB figure in the fanalab section or the FFB setting on iRacing?
@@Scott-jg1it it would be the FF figure in fanalabs.
Thanks for video! But if I use like you show BMW GT3 in profile it shows max force 50 Nm (it is about 6,7 strenght) and max wheel force I set 15 Nm as shown on prifle name- but it is very light, when I put auto to set max force by iracing it sets on 28Nm about 12 strenght - it is much heavier and I am very tired after few laps. What I am doing wrong- should I set FFB on lower force? Now is 60%?
@AeroVeloce Also thanks for the video. New DD1 owner here. I am having a very similar issue, it’s almost like the ffb is inverted. I’m wondering if this is an appini settings issue. This is for version 1.69 I have changed all setting according to newest readme page. Or is this a calibration issue.
For some reason FFBsmooth does not show up in my ini file 🤔
I know there’s a new smoothing slider in the game settings that came with the latest iRacing update. Perhaps that got changed now.
when i have to import i cant select all of the filessss help
Are you using fanalabs version 1.65? Importing more than one at a time was a feature added in the latest versions of fanalabs.
What driver are you using on your dd1
447
@@AeroVeloce aa thx mate
I am asking because when i try to update the driver the wheel feels very strange and bad so i am going to give it a try
I am having trouble finding ffb settings for oval racing on iracing. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I’m pretty sure Maurice’s latest profiles have all Iracing cars
@@AeroVeloce Ok, I’ll give it a harder look. Thank you!
what if i use irffb ?
I don’t have experience with irffb sorry.
My iracing isn’t on fanalabs
For sure using the latest version?
I will say this: it improved the road detail feeling, holew, curbs. But it completly ruined the car feeling. I can't feel what is going on with the car with those settings. And now I wonder which was responsible for this, how to fix it
