Commenting as a Canadian, I'm actually surprised they knew as much as they did.

From a Canadian, these people did much better than 9/10 that people do from what I heard
I misread that 10 as an 11 for a hot second and almost had a fit...
They did better than other American videos I've seen.
That was actually pretty good. Especially since some of the questions were tryin to be tricky.
The Rock is American! His Dad is Canadian. He played in the CFL, signed by the Calgary Stampeders but was cut after one year.
You're 100% right. Since his dad is Canadian, he is also Canadian by default under our citizenship act. In 2009, Dwayne officially gained his Canadian citizenship.
He’s a dual citizen
@@joelembitch1274 yes he has dual citizenship but he is American.

Ya, they did ok.
1:12 The first one was actually a rejected design for the Canadian flag.
Good job guys!🇨🇦
Pleasantly surprised. I remember older generations of Americans striking out all over the place
I love this !! how do you confuse a yank ???? Put him in a room full of shovels and tell him to take his pick !! Put him in a round room and tell him to go stand in the corner !!!
I’m not surprised they did well. I’m American who got them all right except the population. I couldn’t tell you the population of any country. 😂 I know the Rock’s dad is Canadian. Specifically his ancestors were Black Loyalists wholived in the American colonies. They were people of African descent who supported the British in the American Revolution then because of that were forced to move to Nova Scotia after the war.
I hope this will stop this ridiculous idea that most Americans don’t know which countries border us. Comedians make these videos for laughs and edit out people who give the correct answers to make it seem like the people who don’t know represent the majority and then naive people buy into it.
The Americans on here even realized when they were asked trick questions. I’m sure there will be those haters who come and here and insult us as usual.
Same i knew the answer to all of them except for the population which I guessed was around 30 something million, a bit less than California
You're America though...statistically, you're big enough to take a little friendly ribbing on the chin.
...You invented the McRib sandwich after all...which may have also contributed to your population being statistically larger on average...
...sorry. Couldn't resist. The jokes write themselves sometimes.
Welcome
I like the trick questions
Well done! I know a huge % wouldn’t even get one right!
well done!
The Rock question is a bit of a trick question too. He was born in California, but has dual US/Canada citizenship because his dad was born in Canada.
Dwayne Johnson is American/Canadian
He's a dual Citizen 🇺🇸🇨🇦
America’s the melting pot, the land of immigrants. Lots of Americans these days have parents born in other countries hence just having his father born in Canada doesn’t make him a Canadian!… His mother was born in the USA and more importantly, The Rock himself was born and raised in the USA which makes him am American.
@@aheat3036 it does, actually. Unlike most of those other countries you mentioned Canada allows dual citizenship. Rock is just as much Canadian as he is American. He's both, that's it.
@@ParadiseDB7 😂 Nonsense!… The Canadians always like to steal another country’s glory, especially America’s, because Canada can’t innovate anything or produce any talent on its own!… You guys will pick up any leftover scraps or breadcrumbs and claim them as your own with bizarre and ridiculous extrapolations which shows your the depth of desperation!… Just hilarious. 🤣
Actually, Ryan Reynolds and Ryan Gosling are both Canadians. Reynolds was born in Vancouver and Gosling in London ( I know, there’s a city called London even in Canada 🇨🇦). Justin Bieber is also from there.

I want to visit Canada. Not the big urban centers like Toronto and Vancouver. I want to visit lesser known cities, where there are more typical Canadians than foreigners, like Charlottetown.
I want to do this in the summer because I don't like the cold.
And exactly what is a typical Canadian? Being Canadian, I’m interested to know if I’m typical or not. If you do visit Canada, do us a favour and lose the attitude about “ foreigners “. That type of attitude isn’t needed or wanted in Canada. Keep it in US🇨🇦

a weird kind of bear? lol
omg
We have multiple animals
Beaver
Goose
Moose
And polar bears
So, officially, the national animal is the Beaver...but Bears (Grizzly, Brown, Black, and Polar), Timberwolves, Corvids (Crows and Ravens), Dogs (Labrador Retrievers and Huskies mostly), Moose, Canada Geese, Loones, Caribou, Trumpeter Swans, Chickadees, Blue Jays, Cardinals, Racoons, Bobcats/Lynxes, Orca, Whales, Cod, and Salmon do feature heavily in national and provincial associated imagery.
Just happens that Beavers, Loones, and Polar Bears get the most recognition as they feature on coinage.
Oh, and the ever present House Hippo. Our TRUE national animal.
What I know about Canada and America is that the prime minister of Canada now has Indonesian blood and who knows the American president Barack Obama when he was a child in Indonesia. But still the prime minister of Canada is Canadian and President Barack Obama is American
"Trudeau's maternal great-grandfather Thomas Bernard was born in Makassar, Indonesia and immigrated to Penticton, British Columbia, in 1906 at age 15 with his family." - Justin Trudeau's wiki-bio.
Huh...didn't know that. Neat!
The term "blood" tends to reference ethnic ancestry though, pretty sure Thomas wasn't of a descendant of the Indonesian people groups himself...Colonialism!
...otherwise, I'd be Mexican as my Scottish great-granny was born in Cancun whilst her parents were on extended vacation.
...and if I was, I'd be an utter disgrace to my ancestors. Virtually no spice tolerance and non hablo Espanol. :S
We love flex!!! She brings energy and life to the videos! 😭🤣
Aww thank you. That’s me naturally always high energy. 😂
Yet she's the dumbest one. How did she not know the uk doesn't have a president?
Justin Trudeau is the current prime minister of Canada, and his father Pierre was a past prime minister.
So the Rock is Canadian? 😅 Samoan-Canadian? Lmao
Why don’t we learn anything about Canada here in American schools?
Because it's not your history
@@teaganjones4125 Yeah, but we learn quite a bit of American history up here...
The capital of Canada is C.
Why are Canadians always left out of the English accent videos
Right?
Ryan Seacrest is American.
Is The Rock really Canadian tho? His father is African-Canadian, but he was born and raised in the U.S. and he's holding the ID of the States. That doesn't count.
You are wrong. Because of said (just Canadian no need to mention his race) father he has dual Canadian/American citizenship.
It never said he wasn't American, it said he was Canadian.
@@ParadiseDB7 Hmm… But in the other hand… Tho he’s Canadian inherited from his father by blood and he got both citizenships, he still was born and raised in the States. Seems got not much of relations to Canada except for blood. It’s just like a huge amount of people whose ancestors are from different countries in Europe but not many of them would say they’re German/Italian/French etc. They just say they’re American. So he is considered American in my opinion. 😂
@@ParadiseDB7 Definitely a trick question. He's the son of an immigrant, born in California and raised all over the US. His only tie to Canada is is father's citizenship. He wasn't born there, he never lived there.
@@jeffmorse645 it's definitely a trick question, however slight correction he lived in Canada for a few years in college and while playing in the CFL.

We have a king...
@@christophermichaelclarence6003 ..."the one and only King Charles"...I'll think you find he's actually one of a set of three King Charlies. XD
@@Lauriej117 It has to do with types and levels of national Government.
Comparative Example:
USA is a constitutional republic with a representative democracy in a bicameral congress.
Executive Branch is where your President is.
Judicial is the Supreme Court of the United States
Federal is Congress, split between a House of Representatives and a Senate.
Canada is a constitutional monarchy with a representative democracy in a Westminister-style legislature.
Executive Branch is King Charles III, or rather his representative, the Governor General of Canada, and a Senate.
Judicial is the Supreme Court of Canada
Federal is the House of Commons, led by the leader of the ruling Party, the Prime Minister, who also appoints new senators.
In practice, Canada's Executive Branch is basically a just a rubber stamp for whatever the Federal branch decides, with the rare occasional upset that tends to make national news. Our monarch wields almost no actual tangible power and is mostly ceremonial these days, so the actual decisions are done at the Federal level.
Meanwhile, the US is supposed to have all 4 branches of government (Judicial, Executive, and the two Federals) in equal footing with one another via checks and balances, but in practice, especially since the Bush Jr. Administration, has been concentrating more and more power into the smaller Executive and Judicial branches.
That dude with the red shirt sounds a lot like mr beast..

"Which country is bigger, the U.S. or Canada?" This is a trick question in itself. Yes, Canada is bigger in land mass than the U. S. but the U. S. is much bigger in population than Canada.
But they were talking about centimeters not amount of people
@@gabrieeuluzumaki6155 No, they had not specified physical land mass size. The question was simply, which country was bigger?
@@frenchfan3368 so if they hadn’t specified how would you happen to know that they were talking about popularity, doesn’t make sense either, don’t ya think ?
@@gabrieeuluzumaki6155 What do you mean by talking about "popularity?" To avoid the ambiguity of the question in the first place, I would have asked, "Is the U. S. or Canada bigger in population (or land mass). Again, being specific in the question in the first place would have avoided the ambiguity.
@@frenchfan3368 yeah they shoulda done smt to at least make it a lil bit more clearer to whoever’s trying to nail it, but as you said the ambiguity was the problem here because this question could’ve been interpreted both ways, and that’s what happened to us, we’ve interpreted it on different ways that’s why our thoughts weren’t rhetorical to none of us

As an Australian, I learnt about the beaver 🦫 being Canadas national animal from used to watching How I met Your Mother!
