Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish are very similar and very different at the same time. As a Brazilian, it's hard to me to explain but, we can say that Portuguese speakers and Spanish speakers can understand each other, speaking slowly.

I've been seriously laughing at this for more than half an hour 😂😂😂 As a Brazilian, I find sooo cute to hear them trying to speak our language... Damm I need more. And for all the comments saying that Portuguese sounds beautiful, thank you, really. Can't wait to see more, from other languages and cultures, this video is brilliant, every language is special, in several ways. PS: in Brazil, we call what they are doing by "wireless phone", and it is a real game that kids play here (but just in Portuguese, of course hahaha)

Portuguese pronounciation is so difficult. Even for other Europeans. I think that Spanish is much easier - as I'm able to repeat Spanish, while Portuguese not really. The whole pronounciation in this language is so specific.
Yes, I'm Brazilian and I agree. There's a lot of sounds in Portuguese which are very hard to foreigners to pronounce, and there's some letters that can have different pronunciations, and it can be very difficult for potential learners.

What happens a lot is that we have words in common but with different meanings, which makes it a little difficult, but other than that we have a lot of very similar words in a sentence so I just have to try to figure out the words I don't know.
For example: Port: Minha avó e meu avô são cabeleireiros.
Esp.: Mi abuela y mi abuelo son peluqueros.
Sounds the same, the only difference is the last word, but pelo in Portuguese means fur, so it's easy to guess. We can understand Italian too, but it's harder.

I learned a bit Spanish and Portuguese is written similiar but for me it sounds completely different, more like French. Italian and Spanish sound more similiar to me but maybe that's because I learned Latin.
