  • At NASA, we have always answered the innate call to explore and our achievements have changed the course of history. Now, we’re returning to the Moon under the Artemis program to learn to live and work on another world for the benefit of humanity.
NASA has selected an initial team of astronauts - the Artemis Team - to help pave the way for our next human missions on and around the Moon. The Artemis program includes sending the first woman and next man to walk on the lunar surface. Let's meet the team!

@@zelkk7049 yes, my grandmother always talks about Apollo. She said that we were very poor (but comparitively rich in our community) but she forced my great grandmother to buy a TV to watch the launch. she said she can still remember it. She really wants to see Artemis too. My grandfather will not be able to see it, but my grandmother surely will.

It's about time we went back to the moon. I remember watching the Apollo 11 moon landing while I was in the hospital. My brother had just finished with a very serious brain operation after an accident. The nurses rolled in a TV just so he and I could watch the landing. It was a very emotional moment for me, to have my brother recovering next to me, alive and well, and to watch Neil Armstrong take that first step on the moon. Both by the grace of God.
