Man that fushigi commercial played all the time when i was like 7. I knew like 3 other kids who had one and they got scratched up so easily lol, the illusion didn't even work

I remember the fushigi commercials being spammed all over cartoon network and nickelodeon, no one I knew at the time bought that thing

I bought one, it was much harder to use than the commercial made it seem.
My grandma bought my sister and I one and we played with it like once.
@@jasonmay2023 That's cause it was a scam. They intentionally left out the fact that it's a real sport called Contact Juggling. All the people they showed doing the tricks were professional contact jugglers, and notice how the people being interviewed don't get to do any tricks. They never said anything about that part. They were scamming people into buying the ball by pretending that "anyone can do it," when it actually requires lots of training.

I especially love how the Fushigi commercial acts like that's some new thing. Contact juggling has been a thing for decades even without the use of this weighted ball they're selling. And no, it cannot be mastered in minutes.
Oh, and I also love how they gave it a Japanese name for no actual reason besides "Hey, things from Japan are cool right now!"
Best of all fushigi just means "confusing" in japanese.

I had a fushigi when I was like 8. The “gravity” tricks didn’t work and it was actually really heavy ?
So did I. I specifically ha the Glow in the Dark Fushigi.
It’s heavy so most of the gravity tricks can work. The overhand trick wouldn’t be possible if it was the weight of a bouncy ball because you need to be able to maneuver under the ball without just flicking it off. It’s a lot like juggling - you just have to learn how to do the tricks. The only thing you can do with it right away is pretty much just holding it
