Great no nonsense video, very helpful to the people that want to try it, but are too afraid! Thanks, I hope you have more "how to" videos on youtube, i will be searching for them, thanks again, great job.
Nice one mate...and you are correct it may be simple for most but not everyone has years of experience. Good on you. Thanks for the video enjoy the rides...
Can you do a video about the battery? Right now I’m trying to find my old battery but thinking my family lost it😵💫 it had the black negative wire on it so now I gotta look for one 😵💫
I have a CM91 1967. does it have an oil filter of some type? if not, is there a maintenance cleaning i need to perform? thanks Great video. Appreciate it. ''
1st of all you start every oil change by checking the oil and leaving the plug/dipstick out so when you pull the drain plug out you have air going in for a nice straight flow.
When I started doing stuff like this, I was told to remove the filler cap, the oil comes out better, but that was on a car, and i've done it on bikes, but perhaps you don't need to.
On cars, it certainly makes a difference, you’re not causing a vacuum and have to suck air in through the sump. The capacity of oil in a bike this size, it won’t make a great deal of difference, but yes, you are correct.
The clutch housing acts as a centrifugal oil filter by spinning the oil outwards and catching the dirt. Remove the clutch and clean the oil wells thoroughly. Some models also have a gauze filter which is above the sump plug. This is accessed by removing the the clutch cover.
No guess, add it until it registers correctly on the dip stick. The trouble with adding a specific amount to a wet engine is you never know how much old oil remains, so can easily find you’ve overfilled.
Useless video. For starters he's doing it from the wrong side, engine should be warm? Exhaust will be hot!! Easier from left hand side. Then the oil. What SAE? Honda say 20/50, what is Halfords motorcycle oil? Honda say different grade in winter/colder climates. If you are going to make these videos then don't leave half the important stiff out, okay...?

The oil still came out didn't it, it's called gravity. 😉
HI pal i m from malaysia i use honda 100cc on busy roads i need ride make the oil get worm than change i do
How much oil? Guessing can cause a pressure problem. The dipstick has no markings. Whats " pretty good"?

Don’t screw the plug in when measuring the oil level, can you tell me why? Very good video. Thank you
Because that's how Honda designed it, and that's what it tells you in the manual. If you screw it in you'll get an incorrect reading. Cheers
How much oil change capacity, ad?
Nice video. How do you clean the oil filter? I have a CA200. Where can I get a Soichiro’s Heroes t-shirt? Thanks
The clutch housing acts as a centrifugal oil filter by spinning the oil outwards and catching the dirt. Remove the clutch and clean the oil wells thoroughly. Some models also have a gauze filter which is above the sump plug. This is accessed by removing the the clutch cover.
Soichiros Heroes was my custom cub forum, which is now no longer running therefore t shirts are unavailable, sorry.
My CA200 doesn’t have a centrifugal clutch, are you sure that cleaning my oil filter follows the same steps?
@@jeffreyhurst9552 no, I've never seen a Ca200.
Excuse me, you don't have an oil filter?
Oil filter is centrifugal in the clutch basket.
There's no filter?
The clutch works as a centrifugal oil filter. Also later models have a gauze filter above the oil drain bolt, which catches debris as it passes.
@@TheMonty1994 Ahh, thank you. And thanks for the video.
Just guess ? Hmm.
Guess what ?
The amount of oil. 0.6 liter (0.65 US qt) Honda 4-Stroke Oil SAE 10-40 for future reference.
No guess, add it until it registers correctly on the dip stick. The trouble with adding a specific amount to a wet engine is you never know how much old oil remains, so can easily find you’ve overfilled.

You ok hun !? 😂
Bloody hell Jonathan, are you ok now?
Thanks Monty, just acquired a C90 and now I know how to change the oil 😊
