I wear Frog Togs when on my motorcycle. Never got wet. And I’ve been in down pores here in Florida. They’re also good in the winter at helping keep some heat in.

Stearns makes a ripstop jacket. Had mine since 2007. Water proof still. It's vented and mesh on the inside. Mine has been through hell and back. Used to be 30 bucks. Think we got them from Walmart of all places.

Hey Sammy! Another great video. And I'll tell you why you should camp in the rain, no one else is out there! My wife and l love the rain. When we lived in a trailer park, it kept the kids indoors. Now we caretake a storage facility. Very few people come to their locker in the rain. And, a little campfire or stove makes it cozy. So camp on, Sam Bananas. I'm right there with you!

You should do a video on protecting yourself from ticks and other bugs.
Just got out of the woods today my self. Did some disperse camping. And have found that I like the thrift stores around park rapids and akely area. Lots of good high end gear that is cheap. This may sound odds but marlboro made a real good back pack you might like. It's similar to and older military pack. Seems to be pretty water proof. It's big with belt and comfortable.

When I was section hiking some of the AT I used to bring my Marmot Precip Rain jacket.
Kept me bone dry and well ventilated, arms got a little clammy but was not a big deal.
Did you notice a naked guy walking upstream when you were down by the river, the police are looking for a naked guy running around those woods. 😂

Good afternoon Sir! Great video as always! I had a feeling that one of the main reasons you camp in the rain was because others don’t! Lol. To be honest, I would like to thank you for it…. I have picked up several tricks from you on a little success!
So, this year I also picked up a canoe…. A little bigger than yours (15’), and better with 2 people. I’ve been getting out all summer. In fact, I just got back from a canoe trip in Arkansas…. And it was awesome!

Another great video! I love how you remain upbeat even if something doesn't go right. I don't know if this is considered "moderately priced", but I like REI raingear. I have an REI raincoat I purchased over 20 years ago and I'm still using it. The ventilation isn't perfect, but it's better than typical WalMart rain gear. And I would love to see a video if you can find the spot again with the leaning tree. I like learning new ways to use the environment to create shelter. All I need is a little shelter from the rain, snow, whatever, and it's always a good time camping!! Thanks for the adventure!

Hey Sam, I had a Bigfoot experience while camping 2 summers ago in August. I didn't see them, I was inside my tent. But tree breaking very close,then tree smacks for the next half hour. I was terrified. I just wondered if you ever had similar? Thx and great video ❤
