Glad I built up a playlist for my trip. When traveling long distances, it's a must to watch survival when in that mode. 1550 mile bicycle ride, with my 3 dogs in a bicycle trailer. Life's a trip sometimes. Literally. Better to get out of a toxic situation though, than stay in it. **Early in the morning.**
When you’re melting snow, it’s good to start with water in the bottom of the pot. Keep adding snow to the water that you’ve already melted. It goes quicker.

Idea... lay down a tarp inside your tent. Set up stove.. draw a square around stove.. move stove.. cut out a square with a few inches of extra space. Now you have a floor and your stove is still on the ground.

Thanks Sam, great adventure! Amazing how efficient a woodstove in a tent is. If you had been in a lean-to you would have used at least 10 x the wood and wouldn't have stayed near so warm (maybe less mud). Looking forward to the canoe trips.

If you add more snow to the already melted cup of water, the new snow will melt faster than having to start fresh. It's just a tip I picked up when I was younger if I needed more water than just a cup at a time
Chalk this up as a learning experience ! , your nylon jacket can be saved , look for a nylon patch kit or even duct tape and repair it , glad to see it snowed 👍 , look forward for the next video 👍🖖🙏🍻

Great video editing Sam. That's great you are getting a canoe. I used to have access to a canoe, but the last I heard it ended up getting swept out into the Gulf of Mexico along with the fence it was tied to (Hurricane Irma, Big Pine Key, FL).
Some adventures are a little more challenging than others. Prepping all that firewood kept you warm. Hope the canoe turns out to be what you were looking for.
