As someone who grew up in Kentucky, and has been around pigs most of my life, some do actually make those noises. They aren't fully trying to make pig noises, they're doing pig calls. It's how farmers in the south call their pigs to come. It's a form of training, and most of the time it's to lure them to their feeding troths. just a bit of info for you daz. Love you!

As someone who lives in TN and grew up on a farm, yes, pigs do scream and screech and sound the way that man does. They might oink or snort if they are very young or if they are a potbelly pig but most breeds, especially as adults' screech and scream and squill as oppose to oink so that is accurate.
