The idea they’d call a touch foul on Beverly after the biggest air time of his career and then swallow the whistle when LeBron gets slapped so hard he can’t even get a layup high enough to bank it off glass is the epitome of NBA reffing at its purest.
I agree even the challenge by Celtics on the foul by Brogdon as his hand also partially hit Davis' hand was an actual foul and I don't care which team won. The refs were tipping the scales on this one

@@Ambrooks83 Brogdon steal was legit (and not a jump ball), but refs shouldn't have called the foul on Beverly, as well as obviously missing the call on LJ (though they allowed him to take three steps as usual). Of course if Beverly had made both FTs on the play before, they would have been up 106-105 with the ball and 5 seconds to go (and could have still lost on a final 3-point heave by Celtics after they fouled some Laker).
Thankfully the refs aren't buying Lechoke flops anymore. That slap wasn't shit.

I normally think that most of the time you hear about a game being fixed in any sport, it’s just the opposing teams fans being furious about their team losing. Refs are human and they make mistakes. But this is one of the clearest examples of fixing that I’ve ever seen. It’s one thing to miss the call on Lebron, but when you add that with the late call on Beverley and the bad call with the Celtics a bit earlier, it makes sense why the NBA is the only major American sport that’s had a modern scandal regarding refs fixing games. If it’s not rigged, the refs shouldn’t be at this high of a level.
What do they gain in rigging a regular season game? They missed a call that’s all there is to it.
That black ref also was shown that when ever he is the refs with the Celtics they always win the game he obviously is a big Celtics fan and bets on them smh he needs to get banned and fined smfh shit is sad and crazy thank god the Celtics whole season was a waste and didn’t win and choked again tho so I’m good let them enjoy their little win that didn’t mean shit in the end 💀🤧

It was like 3 plays in a row that they were wrong. The phantom lose ball foul on AD, the DELAYED ticky-tack foul on Pat Bev, then a blatant missed call that altered the game winning shot. I just want to see the invoice from the refs to whoever paid them off.

I think it was the famous Garfield Heard & Phoenix 3OT game vs Boston in the Garden. With a few seconds on the clock at the end of Reg, or the first OT, score tied, a Celtic got a defensive rebound and two feet away from the ref, emphatically called time out. Only the Celtics had no more time outs. The ref panicked, started to shake his head and wave his hands to say "no, no!" Then he quickly looked away, no intention of calling the T he should have called on the Celtics, no intention of sending Phoenix to the line.
The foul on Beverly was a joke.

So Celtics were able to do a “challenge” & reverse a foul called on Anthony Davis in late 4Q with 1:29 remaining, but the Lakers weren’t able to do a challenge at the end of the 4th when Lebron was clearly fouled?
You need to use a timeout to do a challenge. that way if you are wrong, they take a timeout from you. Lakers had 0 timeouts at the end so couldn't challenge. Which sucks.

Beverly involved in everything. Actually probably traveled at 3:29, refs usually call that. Then made a 3, and the put-back dunk, then missed one of two FTs that would have put them up by 4, then fouled Tatum to let Celtics tie at 105.
But yeah, the non-call on LJ came after all that, and screwed the Lakers (who of course still could have won in OT but didn't). ** UPDATE: Upon rewatching, exactly how many steps did LeBron take after his last dribble? Looks like 3 to me.
On a side note, I appreciate how LJ took the ball hard to the hole on that play, unlike most NBA players who try awkward fadeaway shots in the same situation.
