I had been doing the fast pushups. I saw a video from a US ex-convict, the so called "sissy" push up creates "time under tension" and effectively builds chest size much more effectively than full range where the muscle gets a rest at the top and bottom of the full range. It worked for me, best chest i've ever had in a short time compared to heavier bench press.

These oscillatory exercises are a great concept. In fact, I'm kicking myself for not having thought of them myself since I'm a martial artist and personal trainer.
These exercises combine the best traits of speed training with weights and plyometrics, namely fast twitch motor unit activation and developing elasticity of ligaments and tendons. It does this with much reduced risk of blowing out a tendon or ligaments. Thank you very much.

Remember the Nautilus Weight Training Machines? They used a cam shaped similar to a Nautilus shell to unload weight at the beginning of the lift then increase it thru the range of motion to the finish. Similar principle, especially when the reps were sped up but with less risk of injury at the beginning.

I absolutely agree with it - short movents are the key!!! I was able as a untrained person, overweighted, to start from nothing in my kitchen standing 45° to the working space with pushups. 6 different styles (wide, normal, ...) and just made 10 with this motion range. I wasn't able to do all the 60, but a part. Next day i had no pain in my joints like normal, just because i made by accident the pushups with a low range of motion. Next day i was able to do 50 pushups, sweating like an animal, but no pain in my joints like normal. 3rd day i was able to do all 6 sets with different pushups, each 10. Then the 4 day i tried it like women pushups on my knees. I was able to do 20 on the ground, and 40 in the kitchen. No joint pain, no muscle pain so far, no rest day in between!!! Next day i was able to do all 60 pushups on the ground (woman-push-ups). The next day i challenged my self and tried normal pushups, with my feet on the ground, and was able to do 20 pushups. The other 40 i still made on my knees. Next day i was able to do all the 60 pushups total normal - no more knees!!! NO joint pain, no muscle pain, nothing!!! Then was Sunday, and i just walked outside slowly and trained not. Monday = yesterday I was able to do 30 Pushups with my feet on the chair!!! and the rest normal!!! It's unbelievable how fast you can increase your power with this and without destroying your bones. Sure in my 20th I was very trained and worked as a personal fitness trainer, but while doing my MBA, i changed my habits and gained fat as hell. But now i feel that my testosterone is increasing as hell. I feel that I have so much willpower to increase what I am doing like i would be in my 20th. And I am over 53 now :-) I am really surprised, what this method can do. My target is to do later 2 sets each 10 pushups = 120 at all with the feet on the chair daily, and then stay with it. I don't want to gain muscle volume as I had in my earlier days, but stay lean and fit like in the video. To gain muscle I would need 4 set each push-up, but I know this would end in a split training, and this would end too complicated. I just added some leg work as he shows here with 2 sets squads, and 1 set very deep squads, but only 10 and slow. Also, i make 1 set shoulders side, and one set back shoulders each 10 reps with dumbbells 3kg each. And biceps, 2 sets each 10 reps, but only with 12kg single dumbbell. That's all. All is done in 10-20 min daily. But alone this increasing testosterone I feel while I build up my business (I am an innovation designer) but now I start my own t-shirt business, this training helps me so much, because the willpower you need to do this training, you get also for your other targets with it for free. It's strange, but true. All the walls I was seeing, to reach my business goals, become smaller and smaller!!! Guys, try it out, it's absolute fantastic and works and gives you the self-confidence you need in your daily job. I fear no longer that i could get hurt by doing a wrong movement, or something. I really feel 10 years younger in this 1,5 week training. Sure i lost only 2-3kg body weight in this time, but it really works, and I have the first time in my life, that i can't wait till I can train! Just eat after training some proteins, stay with vegetables and fewer carbs and drink 2-3 liter fruit tee. I hope it helps others who read it. I make atm. Pictures of my self and did it when i weighed 120kg... Target is 85kg. It's a journey each has to go by them self, no other can lose fat for you, or make you fit 🙂 But i will release the pictures then on my business profile, if you are interested, leave a comment, then i will write here the link of the channel were i will release it, if I am longevity allows when i have a good progress and will also show exactly how i did it. Big thanks to "i am longevity", because here i really got motivated, but it tooked me 4 weeks till i was starting by my self with training 🙂

I am a Tree climber , using spurs under my feet for hours ! Climb on rope and handle saws one handed ! I have no pains , my body is strong from the work ! I ran track in school, played soccer , basketball, started martial arts at 4 yrs old ! Fast movements keep you young ! I like to twitch my hands from open to close ! Punching in the air , short burst and long! Look for speed ! Then learn to slow down at any moment! I like to take my fist close to objects , sometimes fast without touching, just feel the energy and control with your brain! Anything that is movement, that you enjoy is key ! If you move slow always you will grow old ! Fast falling using gravity then catch and go ! Stand on one leg , learning to engage each muscle and different angles ! Like loading the foot every angle you can think of ! Heel , toe , outer , inner foot! Turning the legs and arms both inwards and outwards fast and slow and stable! Everything you say is true ! Exercise with proper amount you need is key 😊

Great video! I’m gonna use some of the leg moves. Also, I use the 2” battle ropes to keep that upper body fast twitch from slowing. That workout is all speed. I like your take on the 2 to 4” movement. It lets you take an injured joint and train in the non pain range along with pumping blood into it. Brilliant content bro!

Your channel is very good for older people, from people who just want to get fitter to help with day to day living, through to people who want to compete in masters sports competitions. I will be 60 soon. I am an OK distance runner, but currently having trouble with pain in one knee which has reduced the amount of my running. I tried out some of your routine, side to side jumping both single leg and double leg jumps, the running turns, but much slower than you can do them. I also looked for places I could jump up onto and jump off, or jump up, run along and jump off (only about the height of a park bench seat or sometimes a bit higher. My knee was OK on the first day, but doing it a second day in a row wasn't a good idea, but it was fun to try it and I got better the more I tried it. I used to do jumping up onto and off things while running regularly up to my early 50's but as I got older towards my mid to late 50's didn't feel as strong in my jumps or landings and lost confidence in my ability to do it. Your being able to run under 60 seconds for 400 meters when you aren't a 400m specialist at your age is incredible. For the last few years I have been thinking of attempting to join the 60 under 60 club (an imaginary club), by getting good enough to run under 60 seconds for 400m when I turn 60, but I don't think I can do it. If my knee allows I would like to run under 5 minutes for 1500m and under 10minutes 30 seconds for 3000m when I am 60. I am hoping your strength, power and coordination exercises will help. I will incorporate the oscillatory training you taught today into my regular training program.

Sound advice. I'm 62. I have always been a gym rat. As I age, my routines change to address my needs. These days I vary from High-Intensity Impact Training (HIIT) to Time Under Tension (TUT), to Isolation and free weights. What my Brother from another Mother is doing here is a hybrid of HIIT & TUT. It makes perfect sense. With any routine, you have to start somewhere and build your way up. Doing just 3-5 reps in the beginning is a great start. Much better than doing no reps at all. ;) Doing too much results in downtime to recover. Work hard, work smart, and live your best life.
