I can't believe CZcamsr Andy completely randomly cameo'd in this with his famous trademark articulation! No doubt this will be remembered as a classic CZcams moment in years to come.

Mass Effect 3's Jessica Chobot as a crewmember always weirded me out.
One thing for it to be a cameo character, another thing for it to be a permanent crew member in your flying mobile home always reminding you you're with Jessica Chobot from IGN.
Especially if you have no idea who she is.
the really ironic part is that the show she hosted died off not to long after ME3 came out.
I replay the trilogy once a year. But I only let her on the ship that first time.
I only know about this one because I've seen it on some video game channel or site (maybe here, can't remember) so it wasn't too badly implemented IMO, just some other NPC that can be chatted a bit but doesn't come on missions, like the shuttle guy
EA did that because they knew the endings would be shit--they gave her a cameo specifically to get good reviews.
I can't wait for Luke's cameo in the next Mortal Kombat as "Background NPC I chuck at Scorpion for a moderate amount of damage."

I also wondered if it was a jab or, more likely considering the ox crew, a gentle nod to be like hey man, we really dug it, sucks that it was canceled.

The guys from Neebs gaming also get a cameo in Subnautica. They played it early access but unlike others playing the usual walkthrough they role play theirs. They play as Alterra’s Tech support and give you the access codes to the captains quarters so you can escape the planet.

I really liked Jack and Geoff in Red Dead, the joke was that the devs had already hired every single man with a Southern accent to make the game
Funny thing being that they don't really sound all that southern to Americans despite both being from the south. Geoff even took great effort to get rid of his original hick accent
@@ICBPenguin yeah even as an Aussie I find their accents aren't strong, until they are in character or talking to someone else with a stronger accent.
There's a spectrum of Southern accents. Theirs are a little more tame compared to the DEEP south, where you get the people with the drawls and are just a pair of leather chaps away from BEING a stereotypical cowboy.
But then again, I spent enough time in the deep south where a lot of the wild west drama is _missed nostalgically._@@Raida7 A customer I'd regularly interact with was "a Clint Eastwood impersonator" but I never once saw him out of character.

Well I made no comment about the broadness or thickness of Geoff's and Jack's accents so I dunno why you're telling me about Deep South.
I mean, I didn't state there are a range of Southern accents in my comment, but that wasn't pertinent to my point.
Another hilarious Game Grumps cameo is in House Party. In a video game where the entire purpose is to sleep with as many people as you can, I was not expecting Arin and Dan 😂
It’s more than just a cameo too, you use a radio to crash their hot air balloon into the backyard party you’re at. It becomes an entire quest and while it’s super distracting and doesn’t fit the tone of the game at all it made me laugh, which is definitely the developers goal with this game.
i always think of that bit in their first lets play of House Party, "I NEED A FUCKING THERMOS!!!!"

We Were Here
Back in 1989, my brother and I (age 10 and 12 respectively at the time) put on a show for our friends in which we beat Contra in co-op without dying.
The part our friends didn't see was the numerous cases of yelling at each other like Shaq and Kobe on the early-aughts Lakers as we played plenty of runs where, for example, one of us would get too far ahead of the other on a vertical scrolling level, which had a definite "I'd knock you into next week but Mom said we have to play 2-player because there's only one NES" vibe. Gittin' gud ain't easy.
Which is to say that Contra totally belongs on that sort of a list. Specifically the third level.

Everytime ProZD, Gianni Matragrano, or PM Seymour show up in a game (or anime in the latter's case) I somehow manage to forget all of them are indeed professional VAs by trade and their voice takes me out for a minute. Special shoutouts to Gabriel Ultrakill for knocking me unconscious the second I recognized his voice.
Gianni also played the main character in indie game Endoparasitic, a character who gets everything except his -left- right arm ripped off his body in the intro. Very talented VA
I didn't know Arin was in DA: Inquisition!! I played the hell out of that game and had no idea! 😂
Also, Jacksepticeye was in Subnautica as well. I think you could get a little Sam in a jar that said "Top o' the mornin'!"

Poppy Playtime has a SECOND CZcamsr cameo, Robin Nelson. This name might not sound familiar, but he's worked with Piemations and is a frequent narrator on the Emkay channel (one of the best ones aside Jay Mick and Daminen Lee). As a result i can't take anything that Leith Pierre says seriously. The "Marcus you're losing me, maybe you just saw a bunch a peple walking by." line is by him. Admittedly hes more of a VA, but the fact that he also has done stuff on CZcams I'd argue qualifies him as well.
Another one is The Boogey Man (part of an RPGmaker horror game anthology), Manly of manlybadasshero, voices a character in one of the endings, its not difficult to tell that its him.
You picked the best clip to represent Arin's anger and Dan's joy at his anger.
Those two really hit the nail on the head with comedy duo shenanigans. Arin is just unhinged enough, and Dan is JUST enough of a straightman to play off of it, it's why they work so much better than Jon, who was just another unhinged guy, so it just ended up being two unhinged people trying to outdo each other, rather than play off of each other.

The best part about Arin’s cameo as a dwarf is that people constantly assume he’s shorter than Dan Avidan and it’s reflected in the GG Animated shorts.
In reality, he’s 6’2, the same height as Dan, and has no idea where people got the idea he was short from.
The framing of his avatar during stuff like sequelitis gave me that impression.

People in Game Grumps’ animations comments have theorized it’s due to the character design trope of “short chubby guy and skinny tall guy”. People expect the skinnier one to be taller
Part of it is that Dan's hair is so fluffy that he seems taller than he is.
Let’s all just agree that Jesse Cox’s Cyberpunk cameo is perfect.
It may be _too_ obvious, and not really immersion-breaking, but I was definitely startled to hear the voice of actor and CZcamsr Felicia Day, creator of the web-series _The Guild,_ as Fallout:NV companion Veronica. (She's had a number of other VA roles since, but that one surprised me.)
She was also a possible companion in Dragon Age 2 (if you bought the DLC her character was part of).
Zachary Levi was in there too. That one struck me as odd because Chuck was in the middle of its run and this was about when Tangled came out as well.
Came to comment this. I don't recall being catapulted out of my immersion harder and faster than that particular cameo. I came to appreciate the character, and even the performance, but it was definitely an uphill climb to get there.

Don't forger Baldur's Gate 3! The Sharran tiefling Nocturne, Shadowheart's one childhood friend in the cult, is played by Abigail "PhilosophyTube" Thorn. In this case though, the cameo is less distracting than it is lovely, especially since there are some interesting parallels between actor and character

Speaking of Red vs Blue, in the Crow's Nest level in Halo 3, there's an Easter Egg involving two Marines arguing who are voiced by actors from RvB and are different based on the difficulty; on Easy/Normal it's the characters Tucker and Doc, Grif and Simmons on Heroic and Caboose and Church on Legendary.

Here's another CZcamsr Cameo in Subnautica: The Radio Transmission from AlterraHQ that tells you the code to the captains quarters is voiced by two people of the NeebsGaming crew which have been featured with a couple voicelines and references of their Battlefield Friends Animated Series in Battlefield itself. @littlebear274 Rooster Teeth was founded in 2003, Achievement Hunter in 2008, and Game Grumps in 2012- all of them have been making videos as long as or longer than jacksepticeye and markiplier! So I don't think the problem there is being out of touch with the kids 😂

Brian David Gilbert is the only one that I genuinely enjoy. Since you like this channel you will probably like his stuff, especially the older polygon stuff.
Theres also a Subnautica CZcamsr reference to the Neebs Gaming Crew. Famous for their Battlefield Friends and Subnautica lets plays.
They play as Alterra employees giving you the code to the captain's quarters in the Aurora. I love the banter they do about what sandwich to eat and is pretty much on brand for their lets play of the game. 7:32

Are you sure? He's just doing his natural speaking voice, which is kinda not great. It's possible the director asked for that, but he doesn't sound professional, which is why it's so jarring.

Might not be the biggest CZcamsrs out there, but since i watch them theyre worth mentioning. In Cook Serve Delicious 3 CZcamsr Northernlion gives a speech in one of the competitions where he and his wife (LovelyMomo) not only provided announcer commentary, but talked about fellow CZcamsr Baertaffy losing his hands in a Waffle Iron Incident. Its really fun for fans of those creators.
The cameo that was the strangest for me was in My Friendly Neighborhood when Arlo voiced the sock puppet Ricky. It took me most of my playthrough to finally figure out that it was his voice!
I don’t know why, but when Andy was asked to do his catchphrase I was expecting “Alright, 5 stars! Silent Assassin!”

This cameo seriously turned into Andy being the normal adult man
So this one is a bit more than a cameo, but the Game Grums also appear as guest characters in House Party. They have an entire quest line about them trying to get to their live show that they are missing because their hot air balloon crash landed in the wrong place, and that's not even close to being the weirdest part.

I am not good with recognizing voices. So, this was a treat, but I like to think that when Oxboxtra make their cameo debuts I’ll recognize them immediately.

Slightly distracting yes, but the fact that Jesse Cox and CohhCarnage got to be “burning crotch man” and a crazy hobo respectively in Cyberpunk is just too funny to me

Not necessarily immersion-breaking, but it was great hearing various members of Team Four Star land roles as gods in Smite.
Fun fact:
They also cameo with their DBZA voices in an episode of the Dragonball anime's dub.
Specifically, there's a scene where the main characters watch a play based on the Cell Games arc and the actors are voiced by TeamFourStar, reprising their DBZA roles.

Cyberpunk also featured one of the most prominent Podcaster and CZcamsr from Brazil, Azhagal, from Nerdcast. His original character Ozob (the clown with a grenade replacing his nose) appeared in the game (and he voiced it on the Brazilian Portuguese dub). The character was a creation of his for a RPG session and was insanely popular with his audience.
I can't believe they didn't mention TeamFourStars own Nick Landis and Scott Frerichs who cameod in Borderlands 3, who gave the unforgettable performances of that dj/doctor and that one other guy respectively

Dragon Age isn't the only time Arin showed up in a video game. He also voices the bartender in Borderlands 3's Love, Guns, and Tentacles DLC.
Which is way more distracting because you're gonna be in the lodge he's in a LOT throughout that DLC, so you'll be hearing his voice constantly.
