Small town Sheriff Andy Taylor is raising his son Opie (Ron Howard) with the help of Aunt Bee (Frances Bavier) in Mayberry, North Carolina. With virtually no crimes to solve, most of Andy's time is spent calming down his bumbling but well-meaning Deputy Barney Fife (Don Knotts). - Zábava

Andy became my pa in 1963 when I lost mine, splitting image of him, character heart and style, as well as barney my uncle, I was one year old, love these shows with the touch of love and country that I thrive on well done sheldon and ALL that were a part of not just a show, but the life I wanted, and have today because of you, I love you pa...SINCERLY iam

I can watch this show every day and never gets old,
look for the one where he memorizes the Gettysburg address , or the dogs in the rain.. both will make your insides smile for the day.

Yes it said we can't find very many things that you can watch as a family without worrying about any innuendo being exposed to your kids.

@@janessamarrano2611 - And to make it more complicated, Rock Hudson (In the photo in the mirror sequence) was gay and had to hide his sexuality from the public at the time or it would have finished his career (though friends and colleagues knew). He tragically died of AIDs in the early 80s.

Don Knotts was a genius at comedy
Don Knott's is a comic legend. The guy was hilarious.
Barney Fife broke that glass and did Ernest T's job for him.
It's like he said, "No, you won't break that glass! It's MY turn now!"
I'm sorry, but the show just wasn't the same after Barney left Mayberry.
You know ain't no way Andy and Barney would've thought we b watching the show reruns 64 years later! Just a classic . I'm 62 now and watch it every night the building and cars remind me of my childhood back b 4 the world got crazy.
The Rock Hudson is so funny, every time I watch it, I crack up 😁
I read somewhere that when Barney was yelling in Floyd’s and the group of recruits’ faces at the station about nipping it in the bud, they had to do 21 takes because Andy couldn’t stop laughing. Even then he was still hiding his face and chuckling on the last one. Even Don Knotts was trying not to crack up

Don Knotts brought us so many laughs on the Andy Griffith Show. My brother passed away and he really liked the episodes with Ernest T. Bass in them. I never get tired of watching the show.

@@nathanvarghese. You can tell that they are not really standing outside, because a moving shadow appears on what is clearly a photo of houses that are supposedly across the street. Sitcom TV was a simpler medium back then (smile).

if you pay close attention then you will see that they change the jail house they add a stove took it away and then added another door but still using the old phone
In some of them, there are no windows on the inside of the jail, but when you're outside, the windows are there. In the really early shows.
