hearing the terms Dark Of the Moon and Soundwave together gives me memories of the nightmares the line "Lazerbeak kill them all" gave me.

@@isaandreso215 So I was young. I grew up with G1 so I, being the persistent little turd I was, convinced my parents to take me to go see Dark Of the Moon. Let's just say the nightmares of Lazerbeak and the trauma of seeing Ironhide die did not give a positive influence. I was 6.

@@greendecepticon6148 The movie Lockdown is easily one of my least favourite Transformers designs ever. In alt-mode he's just yet another generic sports car like everyone else, and in robot mode he looks like one of those generic robots used for tech demos you'd see on Artstation.
The Animated Lockdown is such a cool and unique character and they managed to turn him into the most generic thing that's ever genericed in the history of genericism.

I LOVE that car!! The car he turns into is actually an homage to the 1950s Mercedes Gullwing.. A GORGEOUS car in it's OWN right!!🤙
Over the last couple of years I've come to associate the name "New Age" with incredibly well engineered minibots but if they can also do stuff with this level of detail/complexity then I'm very much looking forward to seeing what else they have in the pipeline!

Hasbro and Takara MUST source their lines to many of these third-party designers. They deserve the pay and recognition, while we'd see many more of these and for cheaper.
I was on the fence for months on this, as well as DX9's Hot Rod. Both dissolved any and all reservations as soon as I had them in-hand. Transcraft's Bumblebee, Wei Jiang's Hound (Detective), Mechanical Alliance's (Zeta's) Blitzwing, there are simply too many perfect pieces to hold out against.
Hasbro's figures are the way they are because they need to be sold to children and not collectors. Having new engineers won't fix that.

This was always my favorite Soundwave, I watched these films as a kid (along with the first The Fast and The Furious), So I was a big car kid. I was like 2 watching these and the SLS AMG was my ex dream car. Soundwave’s design is amazing and I love it, his horrifying voice provided by Frank Welker is great. I am a big Decepticon, and I had plenty of favorites, but Bayverse Soundwave will always be number 1. No prisoners, only trophies!

They did a HELL of job with improvements on this figure, I just wish I waited to buy this one before I bought HA version. Cool thing is he's the same size as HA but with better feet. Better Ravage and Lazer beak. So I guess I will have to get this one too! Good job NEW AGE! And as always Emgo! EXCELSIOR!!!

@@danklockdown9757 to be fair to Michael, I don't think he cared as much about his transformers movies after dark of the moon because to my knowledge he wanted to end them there. And if my knowledge is correct, Megatron wasn't just a truck, he also had a pretty big trailer that was a part of his body.
@@matthewtarleton6305 Yes, Megatrons Trailer and parts of the trailer are in fact a part of him explaining his height. And indeed Bay wanted to end the movies at DOTM explaining all the main character deaths. Hasbro wanting toy income and fans wanting more movies forced him to make 2 more.
Technically his satellite isn't massive, it's probably the size of one of the dreada but it definitely isn't larger than his earth alt mode, in fact the studio series confirms his robot mode from ROTF is actually just a few inches taller than his DOTM
I kinda wonder how BIG Soundwave would hafta be, JUST to have Ravage & Lazer Beak transformed & lodged in his chest...

Just got this today. It's a very interesting transformation. Other than a couple major structural tabs in the body there is very few pieces that actually lock in to place. The legs were a bit of a nightmare for me, and i have no idea if i did a few other things the right way. But definitely recommend 👌
I concur with the legs. I couldn't figure them out for the life of me because nothing tabs in, and then the "foot" is hollow. And I was thinking....that can't be right....
But it is. *Shrugs* Yup, the feet leave something to be desired for me. The upper body is spot on and everything tabs in good.

I do not know if this has been mentioned or discussed further, but mine came with a ravage and I did not preorder it. I do think I got mine in the first run, as I don't think there has been more than one run yet. So if you are passing this guy because you aren't sure if you're going to get a ravage, you shouldif youget him now. ShowZstore had some of this guy and I believe Iacon store does. Grab them before they don't.
I was a little concerned about this supposed weathering effect at first. Just thought it was some sloppy runoff from the bronzey paint detailing. I was probably influenced by the fact that an actual staple fell out of the figure while transforming it, and one part had some dried gunk on it, that I then removed using the staple. Not to mention it is covered in scratches. I guess it's all intentional, which I was rather surprised to learn.

I never remember seeing the human alliance version, but this is a gorgeous figure and I need to order it. Edit, broke down and ordered it...got it today and it is worth the price and a beautiful figure.
