    Can a portable oxygen concentrator with pulse dose be used for a patient with oxygen level requirement of 3lpm ? Is the pulse flow of 1lpm enough to fulfill their 3lpm continous flow requirement

    • @OxygenTimes
      @OxygenTimes  Před rokem

      In most cases, to fulfil requirement of 3LPM you need to run your POC on pulse setting of 5. However, it may vary based on patient condition. Please consult your doctor regarding this and the best practice is to target SpO2 around 90-95% while using the portable oxygen concentrator.

      It's not FAA approved so you won't be able to use it in the airplane. It's better to spend a little extra for a machine with FAA certificate only.

    My grandmother uses oxygen at 3L continuous flow rate per min through oxymed at home 5l portable concentrator. Could you please recommend any FAA portable oxygen concentrators that are best suitable for a flight duration of 5-6 hours (+ 4-5 hrs at airport/travel) that can run on 3l flow/min continuously? Also, how many batteries would be recommended for such a travel?

    • @OxygenTimes
      @OxygenTimes  Před 5 měsíci

      It is recommended to carry battery backup 3 times than the duration of your flight, for eg. For a 5 hours flight, you need to carry backup of 15 hours with you. Top 3 FAA approved portable oxygen concentrators that will work based on your flow requirement are Oxymed P2, Philips SimplyGo Mini and Inogen One G5. Please feel free to reach our sales team on oxygentimes.com for more help.

      Oxygen Concentrators don't help in treating sleep apnea, you need to use a CPAP or BiPAP. Kindly consult your doctor for more information.

      Right, it's always advisable to check battery availability of POCs before purchasing as you need some extra for air travel.

    We had purchased Devilbiss portable three years ago from a local dealer in Chennai.
    Company does not have any service centers and the machine had a lot of issues as well.
    Better to go for a known brand like Oxymed or Philips.

    • @OxygenTimes
      @OxygenTimes  Před 10 měsíci

      All brands mentioned in this video (Inogen, Oxymed, Philips and DeVilbiss) are really big names in Oxygen Concentrator industry. You can be assured about their good quality, however, when it comes to service you would find some difference between all.
