Great video man, we appreciate you taking the time to answer and make a whole video about it!!
You bet! 🫶🏼
My man you save my day. I'm in a buy 6k pneumatic forklift. Thanks!
Agree with your list on LP trucks. Left me hangin on the electric forklift list tho lol
Bro I apologize haha I thought I included it and then I realized too late that my media guy didn’t add it. Next video for sure. My top 4 for electric was 1: Toyota 2: Raymond 3: jungheinrich 4: crown
Nissan/unicarrier BX trucks are solid electrics.... not alot of failures good hitachi controllers.
@@Daniel-np8zoI agree. 👍🏼
JungHeinrich over crown?
you guys are skilled.
I have about 40+ Komatsu's on my accounts & can honestly say I've never had major issues. But, I will say check every nut & bolt if pre-inspecting a new truck. Hardware comes loosy goosy from the factory 😂
😂 I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks for the comment.
Manitou is very popular on forklifts and telehandlers in Europe and I belive are reliable. How reliable? IDK I'm very happy with my 2003 Toyota series 7 2.5l diesel engine with 18780h
Did you grease the new seals and o-rings with ep grease?
Always a go to for me since the first few ones i did a re-seal on broke because lack of lubrication when re-installing.
The hydraulic oil dosent work good enough to lubricate when installing.
Just a tip if that`s the case for less warranty claims. :)
I appreciate the tip. What is EP grease?
@@theforkliftguy basically the same grease used for the steering axle and tilt cylinders and so on. "universal grease"
I would like to know what was in that little sprayer there you had?
Brake parts cleaner. A lot cheaper to buy it in 5 gallon jugs and then I throw it in that sprayer.
Daewoo was bought out by doosan. They share the same engine in lots of models.
Also if you ever see a bobcat forklift it’s just a rebranded doosan. Same forklift different paint job
Worst: Clark (always and forever)
Seriously, Clark machines can fuck right off.
Say it louder for the people in the back 📢📢
@@theforkliftguy 🤣
I used to work for crown, now work for Toyota. I couldn’t agree with your list more, especially with shyster/gayle being the worst of all
Glad you made the switch! Toyota for the win!
I'm not a forklift service tech by any means. I am though, a highly skilled operator. I treat my reach truck like it's my own vehicle. Well for 12 hours a day it is. What are some tips you might have for us operators to help reduce damage risks to the hydraulic controls?
Thank you for the question! We will definitely address your questions in the next couple of videos 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Have you heard of a brand called Hewitt? I think it’s made in Canada thanks to
Never heard of it. Are they good?
I love cat trucks but their parts are dang expensive in the IC truck world.
I love Raymond trucks for electric personally. Really tech friendly and all electric truck parts are expensive.
I completely agree. I totally forgot to include the electrics as well, but Raymond was my top 3 favorite for electric trucks.
What’s labor rate per hour in Florida
It depends, right now it’s between $120-$200
Is Toyota your go to place to get parts ? Or where you go usually
My go to place right now. Once I get my own TVH account, I’ll only need to go there for specific Toyota parts. Gary is awesome, but he’s retiring this year 😭
Do you have any knowledge on Raymond Order pickers with the code 8L. ?? I would appreciate it so much.
brake feedback current out of range
@@ShortyDewOp13 having trouble diagnosing. I applied a whole new brake. And still have the same code.
@@ToolProductions3 Check all the associated wiring to do with the brake. The wiring going to the brake, a lot of times you'll have broken wires where they are ziptied to the bracket. Could have wiring issues with the deadman switches, fuse/relay card (relay could be bad) or vehicle manager (bad pin or connection).
@@ShortyDewOp13 I swapped a fuse relay card off a good OP and the issue is still there. I’ve replace the wiring harness from the brake and also replaced the brake with a new one and have been shimming the brake. Only thing left would be the deadman wiring. But it seems to be working fine whenever I press on it. Only leaves the VM.
my worst list :
1) STILL super complicated (even old ones)
2) Linde
3) Jungheinrich
what are your thoughts on crown lift trucks
i'll make a separate video about electric trucks here pretty soon. But as a teaser, I'm a big fan of crowns. I think they are the best to learn from if you're just getting into the industry. I also think their repair manuals and electrical schematics are the easiest to understand. I wouldn't say they are my favorite though 😅
I actually work for crown they are easy to work on
They should manufacture an American made one.
They do, Cat/Mitsi are made in Houston Texas by LOGISNEXT
Toyota’s for the win!
You know it 💯
What about Crown´s ?
I’m a fan of crowns. I’ve made a few videos on fixing them. I used to work on them all the time. Very easy to learn and the troubleshooting process is simple as well.
I actually work for crown it’s a good company
Recently picked up a customer with a bunch of crown CG-9’s for PM’s. These CG-9’s are crown branded doosans that have Mitsubishi Power Solutions Industrial engines in them. Just to do an oil change on one is a freaking mess. Not enough room to get a pan underneath, got to put the whole thing on blocks. When draining the oil, the pan is up against the frame and goes everywhere. I used a piece of plastic to guide the oil into a catch pan. But other than that, I’d say they are pretty smooth running trucks. Keep up the videos man, it’s great to learn from other lift techs and see what you encounter out in the field!
Wow that’s wild. I don’t work on a lot of gas powered crowns, only electric. Thank you for the comment and the support. Much appreciated!
Toyota is definitely a 1st choice and no brainer!
Linde is not the biggest forklift manufactuer in the world, Toyota is by a mile
Doosan is trash
I am a tech at Crown and worked on Crown branded Doosans. Cooling system is no bueno.
