Kyogo's header opened the scoring early, and after a brief spell of control from Hearts Matt O'Riley won the ball back and played a looping ball over the top for Kyogo, putting the Bhoys 2 nil up at half-time. The intensity continued in the second half where eventually Celtic were awarded a penalty, which was rifled into the top corner by O'Riley.
The league leaders return to Parkhead next week for the Glasgow Derby.

One guy on one of the bun channels said he hadn't realised how close Celtic would be to the title if we beat Hearts. At least one of them has got it. They drop points today (quite likely) and we skelp them next week (very likely) it's all over .. and even if the first doesn't happen it will still be all over bar the shouting! It will dawn on the rest of them eventually .. or maybe Clementine will claim that they are already the 'moral' title-winners ..đ

Absolutely Brilliant Atmosphere in the ground & wish we had it more when it's not the champions league or rangers games, the energy from the fans fed onto the team after we got that first goal to settle us down & there was some iffy bits in the first 5 mins in terms of defence but thought we were pretty solid! at long last we learnt to mark back post headers vs hearts, James Forrest looks like he's went back to 5-7 seasons ago form, absolutely brilliant!! & the cross for the 2nd was a peach by o'riley, we need this definetly more often & i think we're also back to playing well cause we're not so fatigued, great confidence going into the last crucial games especially next week & we need a massive summer, HH Guys & good to see you's enjoying the day as much as me, have a pint on me too! Wee Jamesy Forrest at 31 is still light years and LEVELS above anyone in a Celtic jersey... Once another Celtic player plays 400x games with 100x+ goals and 100+ assists I'll take notice of them... till then Forrest just showed the 'old' goatđ is still got it! đ

Shankland played a blinder today he played kyogo onside for his first goal & gave us a penalty đ joking aside we showed fight desire Hungary
Why were they drawing lines with the goalie for Kyogoâs goal when Shankland was in the goal line?. Got me questioning if I actually knew the rules. Mental.
The goaly was playing kyogo onside. You can only be offside behind the second last player. Shankland was basically the goaly and the second last player before which is usually a defender was the actual goaly. Thatâs how the offside rules works đđŒ

The GK played Kyogo onside, you can't be behind the GK that is why the VAR check and lines were drawn mate.

Good stuff today, we finally have a threat from the flanks, from that reborn guy James Forrest. The only down side was the set pieces, 16 corners and no threat, we need to use them to a advantage, maybe need to hire a set piece coach. AJ was magic today.

Was slow at the start but got into the rhythm and looked class. Hart,Jamesy,Kyogo,MOR,ccv all stand outs for me. Really missed maeda pressing today, NOT glad to see 2 wingers who can control the ball and link the play today.
Have been saying for months, if we have our first choice players in the team, they will beat anybody in this league roll on next week. HH
We werenât great for 90 minutes at all. But we were much, much better . Much more like a celtic team. Still, we will need serious upgrades on several positions to improve next season. Will it happen? No.

Yes the team performed really well and against a very strong Hearts outfit, but we need perspective here.
JH had two outstanding saves, several important blocks early in the game and a bad miss from Oda towards the end.
Yes a huge difference and improvement from Dundee & Hampden, but still several fault-lines in our team/ squad.
Hugely disappointed in Hatate today and Kuhn needs to make a decision earlier and release his pass quicker than he is doing.
Impressive 3 goals, 3 points and an increase in our GD, but letâs be measured in our praise.

Forrest was actually caught in the face yet stayed on his feet and nothing given- Yang didnât even catch the Hearts player in the face yet he went down theatrically and red card given. And how Clancy missed that handball in normal time or gave Shankland a second yellow is incredible. Officiating is the absolute worst.
