As an Aussie, I wanted Australia to make the final, but after seeing how tired they were against England, and how much better spain were than everyone, I'm kinda glad we didn't make it.
Spain were the best team, they played the best football, they scored the most goals, they were the most technical, they defined the modern game, outplayed, dominated, and outclassed england in every aspect. spain were missing 12 players, with problems with the squad and coach and they still prevailed with class.
They won the world cup. Yes, congrats. Best team, not sure about that. They lost to Japan 4-0, there's something wrong there.

I have to say I was blown away by their quality on the ball and I m sure England was aswell. I mean r u kidding me it felt like I was watching prime Barça. What is that team. Wow.
Their first touch, movement, game awareness when the press comes,and that short incredible first touch passing. World class.
@@0darumair0 They reminded me of the `"Iniesta, Xavi" team that won the world cup, the way they controlled the ball, and some of these sequences that began in their zone, and with four/five touches, they were in England's zone threatening to score. The only player that didn't deserve to start was #17 Redondo. She's awful! I don't know why they didn't put the youngster #18 on the wing and insert Gonzalez, who is a much better player than Redondo. But my favorite, by far, was the "maestro" Bonmati...what a player...

He has won the best women's team. And they weren't just facing another team... Because it never took so long to award such a clear penalty. And never, having VAR, a penalty where the goalkeeper goes ahead previously is considered good. The penalty should have been repeated if we want to be legal. But hey, in the end that refereeing error did not influence and the best football prevailed. Congratulations Spain. Congratulations to all the women in the soccer world for offering us this exciting tournament. Thank you.

Alexi..Spain deserved this win in the Final. As an English person it hurts to admit it. But fair is fair. But I’m proud of The Lionesses. Both those teams World Ranking will have improved I’m sure. And both teams are a work in progress. I don’t know about The USA though. I hope they will compete at the top like these two teams. But with a lot more humility. And in Europe that counts for a lot Alexi.
Now if the United States would just learn some humility in foreign policy...

Very close game. The first 25 minutes were great. This team won like the men's side in 2010 with precise passing,Tiki Taka, and ball possession. Best soccer I seen played from women's side since first World Cup in 1991

It was a great football game. 2 very good selections. Spain have an incredible technical quality. They combine quickly and accurately with their minds always on the opposite goal. England is a more vertical and physical football, and they also do it very, very well. The 2 best in the world without a doubt. Congratulations to the 2 teams and to women's football, a real success this World Cup

Spain totally completely crushed England in the final. Spain was all over England the entire 105 minutes.
Japan played one bad half which cost them the tournament. For some reason this team is forgotten fast but it was really good and should have been in the final.

England were determined. They came in like they wanted it more and needed to confidence to get it done. The fact remained that Spain was better. For those blaming the manager's tactics, the result could have gone either way by any error. The better team happen to have won which does not necessarily happens all the time.

A first half tactical error surely? 3-5-2 formation worked vs Australia but midfield swamped in first half with acres of space out wide. Two up front had too much to do. 1 goal, 1 mistake - Bronze's effort to beat half the Spanish team led to their goal. Hemp ran her socks off.

It's funny but that 4-0 was a blessing in disguise 😂 We learnt from it, made changes including Goalkeeper, starting Codina in defence, not starting Putellas who wasn't ready, taking more care not losing the ball & transitions... Personally, it's hard for me to accept that Spain is the champion when they lost to Japan 4-0. I know some of you will argue that's how soccer games go, match up, tactics, adjustments, etc., but personally, I just don't they think they are that good. And yes, I did watch all their games.

Spain technical above everyone, you need only look at the squad.
Even with discussion with the Coach, still winning this tournament.
And look at the youth teams; still winning.

Just because Spain lost 4-0 to 2011 Champions Japan, doesn't mean they're bad. It's tough competition, Spain went up against one of the best teams of the tournament. And even if they did lose to Japan, they pick themselves up and rebounded with wins again. They won where it mattered most
