This the last basketball game I actually had fun playing. People overlooked the fact that 19 was just fun. Brought back that old feeling of how sports games used to be.

@@nba2kbensimmons598 the old dev of 2k is now the one currently working on nba live 24! Iâm pretty sure it was a badge plug vid that I got the info from but hopefully the dev team makes all the right decisions 2k refuses to do
Nobody gave it a chance because if 2k I said when it was out make the graphics better n this better than 2k more options to everything n you can grind by yourself online âŠ2k you got toxic players

The crazy shit is throughout 2kâs lifespan they had features like this just in different games⊠they had different courts but it was before online play⊠in the first myplayer you couldnât pay and their were no badges⊠when they introduced badges your tendencies dictated the badges you got ⊠not like now where badges ARE the build⊠live needs to come back so 2K can feel some pressure to make the game better

I miss in like 2k18 where you had to do specific things to get the badges not just do things in a general category and level them up. I missed when you had to like get specifically contact dunks to get posterizer and whatnot
Ea isnât going to waste time and money making another nba live. They scrapped live 20 and live 21 and have no plans on continuing the series.

Thank God people are finally acknowledging NBA live 19. It's honestly better than 2k in some aspects as you don't need to pay which is impressive for any EA game and it also in my opinion is more entertaining as you can't blow by the cpu that fast and you also learn the gameplay very fast.

You do realize the game not having to pay is why they canât improve? It takes resources to improve the game. If your main selling point is free, then donât be mad at free results!

It was different. You didnât have to pay to level up characters. You basically just had to play story or online. Tattoos were basically free. If they went the extra step every year, it would of been in competition with 2k. Online play was fast and fun as well

I used to play this more than 2k at times but the only thing that drove me away is how it felt way too easy to score whether it be a jump shot or layup. It just seemed like everything went in. đ

Loved that game. It had it's issues but man talk about a love letter to a genre. Game was damned near perfect. If they wouldve kept going, it would be money in 2023!!! And the Face-scan app was dope too and super accurate!

The rebirth system gets you up to silver rank on your main thing And enough ovr with badges to put you to a 90, and you can change the rules in the league

The graphics were great on 18 and 19! 2k barely looks like that now lol!

Negl This game has hella potential. The Presentation, and everything is just more realistic the gameplay needed work but overall if they add a neighborhood snd fix theyre gameplay theyre blowing 2k out the water
I downloaded this since it came out on gamepass. I dont understand why this game wasn't hyped up more and more people played it. This game was incredible and still is! Also it's easier to make buckets right from the beginning which makes it more fun and the grind worth while. While 2k you have 2 choices, grind for a month everyday to get a handful of bronze badges and get to 75 overall which isnt anything... you must be 85 to be worth anything online. ORRRR purchase more VC points

the only problem me and my friends had was we're australian and for some reason the servers are complete dogshit for us and it takes delay to a whole to level, you move and then 6 secounds later your character moves and the shooting is even worse its impossible to green in an online game.
Yeah they have a rebirth, once you Max out one player, you automatically get 50 skill points for every other build to make the grind easier
This game had so much potential even now they do. They just have to fix the player model look and gameplay but everything else was spot on good

I played NBA live 18 on xbox 5 years ago and it really was a good game
Good archetypes, more arcade type than 2k but if you have skills you can really play well with any builds
I remember I had a rim protector that could shoot midranges thanks to a specific badge I had to grind (required to hit 500 midrange but as you have low midrange rating it was tough at the beginning)
I saw some logical limits like if you wanted to create a stretch big, the max height were 7" whereas if you wanted to create a rim protector you could go to 7"3 if I'm right
Definitely good memories, it's sad that EA Sports doesn't give a f about basketball
